Senior Member hairshopeing Posted January 26, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted January 26, 2014 I love Lorenzo's work and think the fit is a genius!!! I'm sure this will be outstanding, but my only concern is the extractions seem high up, might just be the angle but they look outside of the safe zone at the sides?? I know Lorenzo knows what he's doing, but quite a few of his patients look to have been extracted quite high up?? Maybe I'm. Wrong, but either way you have chosen one of if not the best for fue yield results, so I'm sure this will turn out excellent!

Senior Member hairweare Posted February 2, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 2, 2014 I am scheduled for a one day procedure and will be flying back to Seattle on the second morning after the procedure. I hope I left enough time to recover for the long trip and won't be oozing blood on the airline pillow or grossing out neighboring passengers. Will I be able to wear a loose hat for the 18 hr sojourn home?
Regular Member sunnyd Posted February 3, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 3, 2014 @hairweare I would personally leave third post op as on the 2nd day post op there was a lot of blood on the pillow pad provided

Senior Member hairweare Posted February 4, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted February 4, 2014 Well I emailed Mick and asked specifically but didn't get an answer and because seats were limited on the flights I needed I went ahead and booked my departure for the morning of the 13th. (POD #2). I will be sleeping sitting up in a coach seat so hopefully I will get by.
Regular Member sunnyd Posted February 4, 2014 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 4, 2014 I wonder whether a way to assist may be to go to the restroom every so often with your saline spray or even use water to wipe down the donor area every few hours which will hopefully get rid of any excess blood
Regular Member northernslaphead Posted February 10, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted February 10, 2014 hi hairweare, sunnyD is right about the bleeding/blood spots are gone day 3 post op but i dont think you'll have a problem 2 days post op! in fact as far as my OP went with Dr. Lorenzo (a great/positive experience by the way!!!!) the swelling on my face from the anesthesia was pretty bad about day 3/4 post op so i reckon at day 2 that wouldnt have kicked in by that point so youll be in a better position. as for the bleeding on the pillow, speaking from my experience it was only very slight by day 2 anyway and spraying the site with saline like sunny D mentioned in the restrooms (use a bottle 100ml or less for getting through airport security with carry on!) will help too. I only know from my experience but id say youll be absolutely fine flying home and you may not even be wearing a hat...i have honestly hand on heart not worn an hat once since the op and im now 19 days post op. even straight after the op it had healed really well and no-one even looked, stared or noticed...you forget there are some cr*p haircuts out there in the world so no-one bothers anymore!!!hehe Im sure once youve had it done you'll feel liberated, happy and will embrace the healing process and the skinhead look!!!;-) northernslapheadMy Hair Loss WebLog
