Sorry HTsoon: I'm To?o and I did the video and took the photo from a folder with many donor complications, there are 3 different patients in that slide. Dr. Lorenzo was informed. he's apologizes. He has a big interest in donor management so we always gather photos of donor issues, from our own patients and from other sources, colleagues and forum, because the increasing amount of patients that we are having with the same problem. We did not realized that was a post op photo and a "telogen effluvium of the donor" after your procedure. We don't have that photo in the personal album you sent, and obviously did not related both cases, and, the photo was cropped to focus and hide the face as much as we can, as we always do. Give me 24 hours to solve it out. Again, our apologizes, the aim was to inform about this fatal complication, but did a mistake. -

Again, sorry for the mistake, the aim was to show a terrible complication that fortunately was not your case. -

Coverage Value Tutorial

Dear Bill: Sorry for the late response. Yes, I'm former patient of Dr. Lorenzo and work as IT for him. Unfortunately he is still busy in the OR and now with WFI (world FUE Institute) issues and Tenerife workshop organization. The aim was not to promote his work more than to present a tutorial about Dr. Koray's work in Coverage Value, something that he thought could be interesting for your community to understand the concept of coverage and donor management. Mainly, when the donor depletion cases by FUE technique has increased during the last year. You can imagine how terrible is and the few repair possibilities that those patients have. If you think that those videos alter any Forum rule, please remove them and my apologies for that reason. -
Coverage Value Tutorial

It would be great if you could also share the recipient area and the coverage value of different areas in the future. that is the objective, quantify the coverage, both in donor and recipient areas, and facilitate the management of the donor to avoid depletion, with a tool that the patient can easily understand -

Second Coverage Value tutorial. Greeting from Dr. Lorenzo aWidowsPeek -
Dr. Lorenzo thought that perhaps it might be interesting to share this tutorial on "Coverage Value", a tool that help to calculate the capacity of the donor area and the recipient coverage, developed by Dr. Koray Erdogan, and that we are using with great enthusiasm. If it not consistent with this section or breach an unknown rule, my apologies. Thanks a lot. To?o-ICC, from Spain.

This 35 years-old patient comes without medical treatment, arrives shaved at his first consultation, so seems to be a poor candidate. We recommend starting with finasteride. We again evaluate his donor area after one month, without shaving and we followed up after 6 months, viewing a slight improvement of the recipient, but a better quality of the donor hair. At this point we programmed a strategy in 2 or 3 surgeries. In the first procedure, carried out at 7 months on meds, 3101 grafts were extracted (6495 hairs; 2.1 hair per graft; 45 to 50 microns of hair; 0.8 mm punch; 531FU1/ 1796FU2/ 728FU3/ 42FU4) for the frontal and mid areas and temporal points. 9 months later we did the second procedure in the crown, with reinforcement of previous areas: 3303 grafts (6904 hairs; 2.09 Hairs per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 614FU1/ 1874FU2/ 723FU3/ 88FU4/ 3 FU5/ 1FU6). Dr. Jose Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain. We will have the next 2000 grafts procedure in September. Comparative before med's: And after med's:

This 34 years-old patient, in treatment with finasteride, came to consultation with the objective to recover the frontal and middle area (butterfly wings design). We carried out a 2901 procedure (7088 hairs; 2.44 hairs/graft; 52 a 57 microns of hair; 0.8 mm punch; 241FU1/ 1431FU2/ 1173FU3/ 134FU4). Dr Jose Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain.

31 years-old patient in treatment with finasteride 12 month before the first procedure. His main objective in this procedure was to repair the frontal area with temporal points and a small touch-up in the crown. We grafted 3101 units (6316 hairs; 2.03 hairs/grafts; 60-65 microns of hair; 0.9 mm punch; 503FU1/ 1982FU2/ 606FU3/ 8 FU4). The low hair per graft average didn’t fulfill our coverage expectations, reason why we programmed a second procedure for middle scalp, crown, and again to increase coverage in frontal area. We grafted 2002 units (4140 hairs; 2.04 hairs/graft; 0.9 mm punch; 401 FU1/ 1152FU2/ 433 FU3/ 34FU4). Dr. Jos? Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain.

This 29 years-old patient comes to our office with hair stability due his treatment with finas/minox. His objective was the crown but he want to try as much as possible in 1 procedure. We extracted 4004 grafts (9743 hairs; 2.56 hair/graft; 53 to 56 microns of hair; 0.8 mm punch; 353 F1/ 1432FU2/ 2207FU3/ 119FU4/ 3FU5). Dr. Jose Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain

The first time we saw this patient in our office, he was 23 yo and seemed to have an aggressive alopecia for his age. We advised him to start with med’s (finas) and we controlled him the next one and a half year. Once we saw his hair loss was stabilized we decided to do the procedure in a conservative approach. We extracted 2601 grafts in one day. Dr. Jose Lorenzo. Madrid. Spain.

Dr. Lorenzo and Dra. Vila don't do FUT, arsenal009, only FUE. Prices in Spain: As a rough guideline, our prices are: 6 Euros each for the first 1000 units, 4 Euros each from 1000 to 2000 units and 2.5 Euros each for over 2000 units ( so 1000 graft, 6000 €; 2000 graft, 10000 €; 3000 graft,12500 €), independent of the number of procedures (second procedure after 2000 will be 2.5 e from the beginning). Hotel (after, before), immediate med's, vat included. Hope that help you. PS: If this is not the place to upload this information please correct me, thx

This 36 years old patient, started with medical treatment one year prior to the procedure. His goal was the crown and try to get as much coverage in one procedure. We extracted 3601 grafts in 2 days (7863 hairs; 2.17 hairs per graft; 55 microns of hair, 0.85 mm punch; 527FU1/ 1970FU2/ 1053FU3/ 63FU4). Dr. Jose Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain.

This patient comes for the first time to our office when he was 27 years old. At that time, he had been on med’s (finas) for one year, and although he had stabilized his alopecia and also gained some coverage, he had a diffuse alopecia in all his upper part mainly in crown and frontal area. We carried out a 3051 grafts procedure (0.75 mm punch; 46 to 52 microns of hair), with an optimal result. After 3 years of follow up and completely stabilized because of medication we decided to do a new procedure to increase density and touch up some zones. We extracted another 1551 grafts (3649 hairs; 2.35 hairs per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 259FU1/ 755FU2/ 568FU3/ 60FU4). Video of his first surgery: Dr. Jos? Lorenzo. Injerto Capilar. Madrid. Spain
