Senior Member Dr. Joseph Williams Posted July 26, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 26, 2013 39 year old male on a limited budget, 1 year post-op having received only 1,617 grafts utilizing custom cut blades: 500 single hair grafts placed into 0.8mm incisions in the hairline, 617 multiple hair grafts placed in 1.2mm incisions in the front and 500 in the crown. Dr. Williams gave the patient some extra grafts at no charge and was reasonably satisfied with the result. The patient was very pleased with the improvement for now, but may want an additional procedure in the future. My Recommendation Profile

Senior Member Spanker Posted July 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 27, 2013 Just not enough grafts for the area covered. It's just an opinion that anything worth doing is worth doing well. It's not that the doctor doesn't have the skill, it just seems that too much area was taken on for the grafts. Senior Member Rootz Posted July 27, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted July 27, 2013 I agree with the above, and the pictures are not really comparing apples to apples. The 1 year pic of the crown for example is taken from the front (not a very good angle for the crown IMO) while the others are from behind. I'm sure there was improvement, but the biggest difference between before and after is simply the way the hair is combed and the angle of the pictures. Kind of deceiving.
