thevman19
Hi This is my first post. Had FUT 3 weeks ago from Dr Batra in Delhi. 2400 grafts, 26cm cut. Im regretting having FUT a little as I had no idea the scar would show from a side profile. From the front view I am 70% happy. I knew my hair was thin and therefore the scar would show more. I would like to know: does this scar look normal of FUT ? It seems quite severe to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have posted before and after pics for your interest! Senior Member Mickey85 Posted March 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 9, 2013 Looks like shockloss buddy, the hair will most likely grow back. I can actually see the scarline and it looks quite good. The hair around it should grow back and temporary shockloss is common. Hello VMan, You are only 3 weeks postop and you could be experiencing a little shock loss in the donor area as well. Your images look pretty good. Give yourself a minimum of 8 months before putting yourself through such anxiousness. It appears that you scar will heal well and with straight hair be undetectable to others. After a year if you find some reservation about the appearance of the scar or you want to go to a short hair style there are some great scar revision alternatives which work great. Here are a couple of examples: FUE and SMP Scar Revision Donor Wound Scar Revision All the Best, Michael Michael James is a Patient Advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi, who is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network; and not a physician. Senior Member sl Posted March 9, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted March 9, 2013 I would echo looks okay at present and appears to be shock loss. Applying some minoxidil may help to speed up recovery. If you are new to it then you may wish go once a day not twice. All the best with your healing and be patient it will take time to heal fully. I represent Dr. Bisanga.
