Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted October 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 Wow! Fantastic result. Dr. Diep, Was this a FUE or FUT procedure? Regular Member Dr. John Diep Posted October 16, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 This patient underwent the FUT "Strip" procedure. I do both procedures. I generally recommend Strip for patients of Norwood 5-7 advance hair loss. As for the FUE, I recommend for patient with mild to moderate hair loss of Norwood 2-4. Though some patients only wanted the FUE method for advance hair loss. Advance hair loss can have good coverage by multiple FUE sessions. Regular Member jimmybald Posted October 16, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 One of the best results I've seen. Do you think that the great results had to do with his hair characteristics? In addition to your ability of course.
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted October 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 Dr. Diep, This result is nothing short of phenomenal right down to the hairline design. I'm amazed! Senior Member chrisdav Posted October 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 Very impressive indeed. Are there any pictures from behind of the crown? 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member PupDaddy Posted October 16, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 Holy cow! As others have said, this has to be one of the most remarkable ht transformations ever. Granted, this fellow's hair characteristics are ideal, but I think it is safe to say that the results wouldn't have been nearly so good had he gone with a less skilled doc. I am always intrigued by the immediate post-op hairline designs and hairline graft layouts of the top ht docs. At least with this patient, Dr. Diep seemed to favor quite a bit of irregularity in the frontal layout, which seems particular suitable for this fellow with his very wavy and (apparently) thick caliber hair characteristics. Beautiful work and amazing transformation.

Senior Member Davis91 Posted October 17, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted October 17, 2012 Whoa. That look very very good. Dr. Diep, can you please a) post some photos of the crown area for this patient; b) give the graft breakdown (1s, 2s, 3s, 4s,) for each respective surgery. You will see a lot of surgeons on this site do the same. Thanks
