Hi guys,I'm from the UK and am currently booked in at Harley street hair clinic in London who only do fue surgery,iv had a consultation there and there website seems to display good before and after photos and have spoken to some previous clients who were happy with their results!however since joining and reading so many people saying avoid the uk at all costs I have started to become nervous and am considering going to see Dr bisanga in Brussels for a consultation! Was wondering if anyone can give me their opinions on Harley street ans de bisanga, especially anyone who has had work some by either clinic! Any input would be very gratefully received!

Is that a question??? OF COURSE Dr. Bisanga is better and more acknowledgable than UK's Harley street hair! There is really no comparison between both!!! Dr. Bisanga wins Big Time.

Hairshopeing,

I'm not familiar with the UK clinics so cannot comment on that other than to say I've read the same things you have on here. I can say that Bisanga is solid and you can't go wrong with him. I've had 2 fue procedures with him. Please feel free to ask any questions you have.

Mate I've been researching this shit since 2005 , been on meds since 2006 and had two hts with Dr Feller in the states and i'm from the UK , so what does that tell you ?

I had consults with uk clinics , all very nice but there work was way behind anything from the top surgoens in North America and Canada .

You only get one chance at this , stay away from any uk clinic , Bisanga is showing some good work and is only a hop across the channel .

Keep researching but stay away from any uk clinic .

your donor is limited.... always chose the best surgeon for you, never let travel be a limitation.

I am from Arizona (phoenix) and flew all the way to Belgium to see Dr. Feriduni.

Look at the MANY results on here and ask yourself how many are from clinics in the UK.

Then look at the truly impressive results of the surgery that is similar to what you're planning i.e. type of surgery (FUE/ FUT), placement frontal/ crown , no. of grafts etc. And then identify the top doctors that impress you the most. Again notice how many are (or how many aren't) from the UK.

Then consult with those doctors. Meet with them if possible (many do consultations in the UK) and also meet their patients in person. Find everything there is to know, cost, write ups about the day of surgery /surgery experience from other patients, where people stay etc etc.

Then decide on who the right doctor or clinic is for you. Don't limit it to geography or you could very well regret it.

Good luck.

ps. oh and ignore the advice from posters who have very few posts on here, particularly when they're recommending you go to any specific doctor or clinic

Hmmmm so for those of us who have just joined, do we just not give advise or opinions? Bit of a rash statement, I can understand it... just don't tar all with one brush.

I think he was just trying to imply that you have to be weary of posters with just two or three posts who rave about a clinic/doctor but the poster hasn't shown any photos or discussed their experience. Its easy to gain credibility here, just post your pics and tell your story... write a few comments for others and the community is going to be receptive and interested in your story.

I agree with bluesteel on this , any credibility with increase with pics and progress .

You do learn to spot the bull from the legitimate posters , forum veterans can see it a mile off .

As is always said , research is the key , good luck .

If you fly to Brussels you can consult with Devroye, Bisanga, Mwamba and Lupanzula - get it done in a day if you can. Feriduni is based an hour from Brussels so you could see him too, if you took 2 days. Ask Richfrog on here, he went and did a few consults.

Got to be worth the 100 quid flight.

As for the UK , the best resuts are from Farjo. Although, I am not saying that there is no one else in the UK, just that I have not seen any online or in person.)

Good luck and choose wise.

Cheers for the input, as I said I can understand the reasons why it was said, it's just that I joined recently and thought maybe I could give info and help to people. To see on my 2nd post that someone was told to ignore me, sort of left me feeling a little aggravated. It was not long ago I was avoiding contact with people and had avoided telling friends I had got it done. In my attempt to start socialising, to get shot down straight away was a bit disheartening.....especially from a support forum!

I can completely understand where your coming from, just wanted to let people know that not all new users are the same.

As to the pics will get them asap, I've just been very busy this last while.

hairybaldy I don't know you from Adam, all I know of you is two posts and you're recommending a newbie goes to the same place as you seemingly went to in Ireland.

I'm Irish myself and I know of perhaps only one clinic, one EXTREMLEY expensive clinic in Ireland that does anything close to resembling decent work. And even this clinic has very few results online for people to view. In fact as far as I'm aware their reputation has largely been built on Jimmy Nesbitt's HT. That might be doing them a disservice but I have never personally seen any other result from them. And from what it's speculated he paid for his HT (and I emphasise speculated)... it should bloody be good.

So.... my reading of your recommendation therefore was that it didnt sound like good advice but, and believe me, I'm happy to be proved wrong. I'd like nothing better than a top HT doc in the beautiful emerald isle but I haven't seen anything on any forum or from many hours of research that tells me different.

And lastly don't take things personally. Like I said I have no idea who you are so it can hardly be personal. It was with good intentions for the guy who started the thread asking for advice.

Thanks for all the advice guys,I think I will consult with Dr bisanga and feriduni and devroye in the same day! Hopefully get a feel for the clinics! Like u said I'm only interested in fue,so based in several posts on here I'm swayed more towards Dr bisanga at present,as it seems he has the best results fue than the others mentioned? As for using Harley street I'm still unsure, the thing that puts me off is how many people in here regret using the UK! That said the surgeon there isn't from the UK herself, did anyone check the results on there web site? They seem to look good, especially as most displayed are at 6 to 9 months,I'd be interested to see if anyone with more experience than me could comment on them,ie the hair line design, density, etc as it looks good to me but Id like someone who knows what to look for to give there opinion! Also appreciate any opinions on which surgeon in Belgium is best at fue hairline, and finally, how do u upload photos on to your profile in here? I'm a tecknophobe I'm afraid! Thanks again for your comments guys, did have a quick look at the website in Ireland, but it dididnt have any photos of before and after that I could see?

Thanks for the input guys,I have now cancelled my surgery at Harley street and am in the process of arranging a trip to Belgium to get consultations from feriduni and bisanga as they seem to obtain the best results in terms of fue! I have to say Harley street were very good and refunded my deposit no problem and like I said previously there web site results looked good, but werent updated enough for my liking! So I decided to listen to those in the know in here and look at belgium, thanks evryone fit your input and a big thanks to richfrog who had given me loads of good advice on Belgium and hair transplant information! Hopefully this will turn out to be the right decision in the end!

Hey levaris, just checked out your results, looks very impressive! How did u find the whole experience with dr bisanga? Were u happy with the treatment and results?

Hairshopeing,

I found the treatment to be outstanding. The Doc and his staff are patient oriented . They are available for the many questions that come up after the surgery (and they will come up). Just a couple examples. Clinics will give you a few antibiotic pills as a precaution after the op. On the night after my first op, I misplaced the pills. Of course now I realize that it wasn't a big deal but at the time I was trying to follow everything to the letter. So, I left a message for the patient rep late at night. He called back within a few minutes and assured me that it wasn't a problem but so I would feel better he brought me a replacement antibiotic packet to my hotel in the middle of the night. After my second op, once I was back home, I was concerned about something and sent an email at what would have been around 4:00 am in Brussels. I was just sending it so that I might have a reply in the morning, however, the answer came within a few minutes. These things are not huge but are definitely a nice touch and will put you at ease during these little mini perceived crisis that will come up after your op. When you add that kind of patient care to the talent and artistry that Dr. Bisanga has, it makes for a good experience. As for the results, I am very happy and no longer feel like someone who is balding. The work looks natural and as far as I can tell, no one has noticed that Ive had an ht. I got very few comments at all mostly that I look younger or that hair looks thicker, etc.

I hope that helps and please feel free to hit me up any time you have questions.

I would also definitely consult with Dr Farjo in the UK. Had mine done (FUT) nearly two weeks ago. Scabs off now..a lot of spikes still on...i know it is too early to judge, but so far i have been impressed by his approach. Also from the moment I decided to proceed with him, till th e moment I could have my HT, it took me 7 months..this is the waiting list..does that say something? All other UK clinics i talked to, were offering the surgery in as soon as 2 weeks time...no comments...but again as i said the experience so far was great...worth paying a visit.

Slickers

I would have to disagree with you about this clinic. Ive looked at the results on their website & when you compare them to the likes of Feller, Rahal, T&D, Bisanga & others, there really is no comparison. Also charging €250 for a consultation is a joke.

Kopite I don't think you read my post correctly. I said I know of only one clinic that could be reputed to perform decent work but even then I havent seen much evidence of this myself.

My comments certainly weren't an endoresment. In fact I'm a bit miffed as to how you arrived at that conclusion.
