Dr. Williams,

Thank you for sharing this result with the community. I think the transformation is quite impressive, and it looks like you were able to rebuild an aesthetically pleasing hairline on a patient with a fairly significant level of hair loss.

I'm curious, do you have any information on this patient's surgical goals? Is he considering any additional work down the road? Again, nicely done! I really like the results.

This shows why I would rather have a well placed hairline over a more V shape with higher density. The hairline on this patient is excellent and takes the eyes away from the see through coverage. This is outstanding for not even 2600 fu's!

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D

For the guys who are worried about the hair line height, this is a great example of what a thin result with a relatively aggressive hair line looks like. I think temporal recession also looks way better on a thin result. If I were the pt I also would have elected to implant 2cm higher. Keep in mine that this is very few grafts over a large area, so I am sure that the yield was very good, but I just don't like the low and straight hairline for the nw level and the number of grafts used in this case.

Anyway, I like to dig up old results and usually only comment on the one's I like, but this one was relevant to a lot of the conversation that has been going on lately.

I am not saying this is a failed procedure, I am just offering for those who think they will be advanced norwoords and are deciding on a hair line.

I was watching an old episode of Dateline yesterday and noticed that one of the older gentleman being interviewed had a very low, fairly straight and rather see-through hairline. I was trying to determine if it was a transplant. It looked natural other than the unusual thinning pattern. But, I liked it!

I also like this result. I could see myself happy with a lower hairline even if it were less dense.

I wonder if SMP would be appropriate in this case to add to the appearance of density.
