Regular Member wings Posted February 25, 2012 Regular Member Posted February 25, 2012 It's been an interesting month to say least. I went from having a full head of hair right after surgery to almost where i started off. Don't get me wrong i'm not upset at all, i know this is part of the course, but when you see yourself post op with all this brand new beautiful hair that you haven't seen there in YEARS you get really excited. Almost like seeing a beautiful girl for the first time and you want to ask for her #, but when you turn around to see if she is still there, she is gone, but you know you will see her again if your patient. The person next to you said she comes around every 3 months, but you just can't wait to see her again you feel as though she is gone forever. Below are my day 25 Post OP photo's quick recap FUE 1871 = 3773 HAIR'S I will be starting an album soon just a little lazy.
Senior Member StaggerLee123 Posted February 25, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 25, 2012 Hurry up and wait! Your analogy is a very good way of looking at the doldrums period that one must endure. Good attitude, keep your eyes on the prize. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the "girl" return...

As you start to get older your expectations go down. It's always nice to see a beautiful girl though!!!

Senior Member orlhair1 Posted February 25, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 25, 2012 Love the analogy! I think the period between month one and month two is the worst. For me, not only did I shed all the grafts, but my native hair seemed thinner too.....then it started growing back in quickly and next thing you know the new hairs are sprouting out, so hang in there! Senior Member BadBeat Posted February 26, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 26, 2012 Wings, the lower part of your donor area looks kind of patchy. Is that just the way your hair is or is that from the FUE extractions?
Senior Member chrisdav Posted February 26, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 26, 2012 Be patient Wings, long road ahead. 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired.
Senior Member RCWest Posted February 26, 2012 Senior Member Posted February 26, 2012 I love the analogy! You chose a great doctor. That girl will be coming around again this Summer. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1?
Senior Member Bucksred Posted March 27, 2012 Senior Member Posted March 27, 2012 Lol, came across this thread and it cheered me up :-) I'm nearly 3 weeks and know exactly how you feel, thx for cheering me up everyone :-)
Regular Member wings Posted April 2, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted April 2, 2012 Ok. Here is my 2 month update not much to report. It's a wait and see. I'm having a little growth determinately more on left side, i hope it evens out come month 5-6. Here are some of picture's any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Senior Member orlhair1 Posted April 2, 2012 Senior Member Posted April 2, 2012 Looking good. It is great that you are seeing early growth!! Mine started growing about the same time. It does come in uneven which should not be a concern for you. It will even out over time.....just have to be patient. Now the fun begins as you watch it grow in. Regular Member wings Posted April 2, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted April 2, 2012 thanks Orlhair, i'm hoping it does evenout. Hey something is better then nothing, considering there was nothing there anyway. I can't complain, if you have high expectians you will only be dissapointed in the end in most cases. I have low expectations so no matter the outcome it's already better then it was. Plus i kindof like the short hair cut anyway.
Regular Member wings Posted May 9, 2012 Author Regular Member Posted May 9, 2012 I'm a little over the 3 month hump hair's are starting to sprout, left side has been coming in a little stronger, I'm sure it will equal out over time. At least i hope!!! Love to hear your feedback.
