Senior Member HARIRI Posted August 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2011 Yeah, they are totally different, Minox allows better blood circulation around your hair follicles which helps your hair to grow and creates a better environment for it and the other blocks DHT somehow (main reason for hair fall) and kills your libido big time lol... However you can use saw palmetto 500mg daily instead to be in the safe side :-) Plug removal + Strip scar revision - Dr. Ali Karadeniz (AEK)- May 23, 2015 Plug removal + 250 FUE temple points- Dr. Hakan Doganay (AHD)- July 3, 2013 Scar Tricopigmentation- Dr. Koray Erdogan (ASMED)- May 3, 2013 2500 FUT (Hairline Repair)- Dr. Rahal- July 26, 2011 My Hair Treatments: 1- Alpecin Double Effect Shampoo (Daily) 2- Regaine Solution Minoxidil 5% (2 ml once a day) 3- GNC Ultra NourishHair™ (Once a day) 4- GNC Herbal Plus Standardized Saw Palmetto (Once a day) My Rahal HT thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/164456-2500-fut-dr-rahal-hairline-repair.html[/size]
Senior Member orlhair1 Posted August 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2011 Fin is the best medication available for hair loss. In most people it has no side affects at all. Senior Member Thehairupthere Posted August 14, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 14, 2011 Use rogaine foam as opposed to the liquid version, I have seen better results with it. Saw Palmetto is a herbal supplement which can help with hair loss but rogaine and propecia are more than enough already and will give you better results. I am a consultant for Dr. True and Dr. Dorin. These opinions are my own. Dr. Robert True and Dr. Robert Dorin are members of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians

Senior Member aaron1234 Posted August 15, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted August 15, 2011 Both work. But if you start using both at the same time how do you know which medicine is doing what for you? I say give Finasteride a year and see what it does for your hair and then add the Rogaine Foam to see if gives additional benefit. Of course, it wouldn't hurt starting both at once either...
