Regular Member Gossamer Posted March 21, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted March 21, 2011 What is the longest amount of time that you have heard anyone continuing to have some staples in post-op? I pose this question because I have a tight scalp (donor scar from ear to ear with 100 staples) and have been advised by my doctor to remove 1/2 at 10 days, 1/4 at 20 days, and 1/4 at 30 days. Will this be a record?
Regular Member Gossamer Posted March 21, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted March 21, 2011 Wow! I would like to cheat and remove the staples at 10, 17, and 24 days, but after reading this, I think I will just accept the doctor's orders and not complain. Senior Member NEWHAIRPLEASE Posted March 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 7, 2012 Thats unbelievable...Spex, how does the skin not grow over the staples after 30 days?? Or for sure after 9 months?? Also, I can see that helping with the scar but will leaving staples in that long cause any bad side effects? Newhairplease!! Senior Member bonkerstonker Posted March 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted March 7, 2012 Yes it's gonna be quite painful removing as they look quite well healed in but all is good in the name of vanity lol. My dad is a right puff as well he'll make it longer by being squeamish ha ha he's the only one who can remove them for me though.
