Senior Member Surfarosa Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 Looks like very good density for a HT to me....also why are you spinning at 6 months ? Did you not learn the timeline ? Go to Hasson and Wongs website and look up the HT growth timeline..... Chill brother !
Senior Member Surfarosa Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 There are no certainties in this field, but based on the usual timeline you will see further thickening in the months to come. 5 months is considered to be early days. BTW I believe that Matt is referring to no certainties in terms of growth timeline vs. no certainties that you will achieve a good result. I suspect this may have freaked you out but could be wrong. Of course there are no certainties of either (or anything in this thing we call life btw) but I think in this context that is what Matt meant. Trying to calm you down my only agenda here......to be clear...... You are fine !
Senior Member RCWest Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 You could see improvement for another 4-6 months. Don't throw in the towel yet. You currently have wonderful growth IMO for 6 months. Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Senior Member mattj Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 Hi 1531 FUT. Take a look at the link below, which gives a brief description of what to expect at various stages throughout the post-op growth period. Graft Growth Timeline - Rahal Hair Transplant I'm going to quote the parts which describe the stage that you are at now and the period that you are just about to move into: 5-6 months post-op: By the fifth to sixth month after the procedure the patient can expect to see substantial new growth. The new hair will be approximately two to three inches in length and the hair shaft will begin to thicken. 8-10 months post-op: Between months eight and ten the patient will see a big difference. The hair will be longer and much thicker and the overall appearance will be one of greater density than even a few months before. I hope this helps! I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Regular Member fritz68 Posted September 26, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 If I'm seeing correctly, the corners have come in very nicely but not the centre (yet)? If so that's identical to what's happened with me, I'm a few weeks ahead of you, 2000 hairline lowering, the corners thick as a bush (like the transplants didn't even go into resting phase) , the centre identical to yours. But there's a lot of stubble finally coming in. I personally think the timelines that Rahal /Hasson and Wong use can be misleading, Writing the hair at around 5-6months should be a few inches long can give the impression that all the hair has popped through (and at 2-3 inches that's 4-6 months growth at 1cm per month). By far the best article I've read on timeline is this:- (I know Jotronic works with H&W but I think this is more accurate than the timeline on their website) Hair Transplant Growth | Hair Transplant Blog - HairTransplantMentor.com So keep in mind only approx. 60% of the grafts may have popped through. Are you getting stubble in the area?
Senior Member RCWest Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 1531, how big is the area you had grafted (length X width)? Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily Avodart 0.5 mg. daily Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily 5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily Biotin 1000 mcg daily Multi Vitamin daily Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? Senior Member mattj Posted September 26, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted September 26, 2010 I personally think the timelines that Rahal /Hasson and Wong use can be misleading, Writing the hair at around 5-6months should be a few inches long can give the impression that all the hair has popped through (and at 2-3 inches that's 4-6 months growth at 1cm per month). I agree it could be worded better. They both appear to be using the same timeline. I might see if I can have some changes made. Overall though it gives a pretty good, brief summary of how a patient can expect his transplant to progress. I am a patient and representative of Dr Rahal. Senior Member ScottishGuy Posted October 31, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted October 31, 2010 It's looking good and probably close to the final result. Were your pics taken with flash? If so, I'd recommend taking them outside in natural daylight instead. Flash tends to make the hairline look stronger. Regular Member 1531 Fut Posted January 5, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 hello everyone thanks to comment my thread i m totally agree with comments it is important to look only the tranplantes area and not the natural density behind i would like to expected more density but i ll wait the full years before to make judgement i think my example is nice because we will see what the institute do when the patients results is not good as they do habitually i m sure we will find the best solutions and continue to have a very good service by the institute ! Senior Member mattj Posted January 5, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted January 5, 2011 I have spoken again to Dr Rahal and he says that once he sees you in person and can assess you at the 12 month mark then he'll happily help you achieve your realistic goals. Tsakalos
the pictures are of a bad quality. I really do not understand how it s possible for people to make such bad pictures. Is it some sort of a science to produce accurate pics in natural light?
