Senior Member wb280 Posted July 14, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 14, 2010 Hi guys! I have posted some pics of 1 month post op. I took very close up pics under strong lighting for u guys to see the whole picture. Feel free to comment! One thing i feel weird... i did not see any big shedding when i bathed. However apparently i am suffering from some shock loss but i m confident its temporary. Needs to be positive all the time! thanks! View my hair loss website. Senior Member wb280 Posted July 14, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 14, 2010 thats why i mentioned a couple times... if u see it not so close up and without harsh lightings, i will be more than happy with the density... the scabs have all fallen but u can see visible growth compared to post op... only issue is the scar. Sparky dude, do u think i should have concerns? quite a bit of shock loss... sucks man View my hair loss website. Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted July 15, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 wb280, Looking good at one month! It does seem as if you experienced very little shedding of the transplanted hairs. As I've said before, I really like this hairline design. I'm really looking forward to seeing your results. Senior Member wb280 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 Hi David! thanks for the comments! keeping my fingers crossed! Things would be better if i had less shock loss around the donor but my existing hair can cover it well so no issues yet! Once again, thanks for commenting ! View my hair loss website. Senior Member wb280 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 Hi sparky dude, yah the photos were taken couple days ago. Guess 2 or 3 days dun change anything I feel the scar looks ok... the dissolvable threads are nearly gone and there is just some lingering pinkish-ness. However, i am concerned abt the shock loss. Bear in mind i did not work out at all since post op... due to your good advice! Seeing the shock loss makes me shun the weights even more.. Your comments? View my hair loss website. Senior Member Sparky Posted July 15, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 I think that you should be ok. In most of the cases I have seen, the shockloss has been temporary. I think the work that Dr Path has done on you looks excellent, you'll find it hard to remember what you used to look like once that lot grows out. Shockloss only means that your hairs have been forced into telogen, and as Dr Path is a good doctor, I very much doubt that it will be permanant. I understand you being worried about it, as I would do the same if I was in your position and come on here seeking reassurance. I seek answers for questions that I already know the answers to, just to make me feel better. I was benching 100kg free weights, now i'm probably down to 70-75kg, but I dont care about that, as I can crack on with that once my hair starts growing in. One of the reasons I think my scar became so big after my last strip in 2002, is because I went back to the weights before the stitches were even out, bad move on my part, and bad move on the terrible clinic at Wellsbourne for not given me the correct information. Just push up and i am abt 70kg hehehe. nevetheless, i think i will heed your advice and wait till the 3rd month before doing anything, but no, i wun be doing 70kg free weights anytime. I think u will thrash me in arm wrestling in seconds View my hair loss website. Senior Member Sparky Posted July 15, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted July 15, 2010 I've been arm wrestling with my Dad since I was 12, I still cant beat him with my right arm and I can lift way more than him in all excersises, confusing. He was in the Royal Navy and was built like Jean Claude Van Damme back then, so I guess he still has a lot of hard mature muscle! Bill - Seemiller
Sparky, Arm wrestling is more about leverage and positioning than brute strength. Strength obviously helps, but if he's got leverage on you, he'll beat you every time. Bill
