Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted May 18, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 18, 2010 This nice fellow stopped by at just about a year out from his procedure. We did a few short of 2300 grafts on him last May on a Friday; and he was in a golf tournament--against medical advice--the next day. We did a frontal "U" shaped procedure on him so that he could keep his frontal tuft to help camouflage his procedure at least somewhat. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA William H. Senior Member PanamaJimmy Posted May 19, 2010 Senior Member Share Posted May 19, 2010 Dr. Lindsey, Looks good! Amazing this guy golfed in a tournament the next day!! Not advisable, but a nice testament to what you could do if you wanted immediately following an HT ;-) Panama Jimmy My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Charles

Regular Member Dr. William Lindsey Posted May 21, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 21, 2010 Yes, this guy did get a nice result, particularly with somewhat fine hairs. And you are correct, golfing is NOT in my postop instructions; but it does show the "normal" level of discomfort, even after a medium sized case, is not too bad for many folks. This guy tends to be somewhat of a fitness fanatic, doing PX90 pretty vigorously; and I think him taking a week off of that was the hardest part of the entire adventure. Dr. Lindsey McLean VA I always love getting patients like this into our clinic. Although you cannot make them take the time off or follow instructions, all you can do is advise and hope that the post-opertation does not reflect any negative choices the patient made during the immediate post-operation time. Hopefully he at least wore a hat that day! While the results do not visibly reflect any of his choices, I still wish patients could understand the value of following ALL post-operation instructions. Thanks again for sharing, his results really did turn out better than I expected when I was first reading about his golf excursion and hadn't yet seen his photos.
