  1. His work seems to speak for him alone, but knowing that he is recommended by and was trained by Dr. Beehner certainly makes it easy to give a confident thumbs up!
  2. Thinking2, Best of luck with your research. You're in the right place. As far as the strip scar goes, unless you are really thin in the donor area, it just isn't noticeable. Most HT recipients have enough cover in the donor area to hide the scar. However, if your genetic tendency is to go completely bald at some point, the scar will then be visible. Panama Jimmy
  3. Roy, I order from http://www.canadadrugs.com and they require that you email or fax a subscription. A doctor gave me this website! I wouldn't trust a site that doesn't require a prescription and that has prices WAY lower than other sources. If its too good to be true......... Panama Jimmy
  4. DCHR,

  5. Garageland, Excellent results! I hope you enjoyed Vancouver. I'm from that neck of the woods and really love that city. When the sun is out it is spectacular. Thanks for posting! Panama Jimmy
  6. Hero, Also, many are using Nizoral shampoo along with Rogaine and Propecia. If you are going to go all the way and just accept the minor inconvenience, that would give you the best results. Good Luck! Panama Jimmy
  7. DCHR, Lots of info for you. Good job by getting on this forum and asking questions! As long as you are going to commit to a Hair Transplant, and you show the typical balding pattern, I feel it is worth the risk of any side effects to use finasteride. I believe the generic finasteride is just as good as Propecia, and you can order it here for the best prices I could find: http://www.canadadrugs.com If you can wait until you are 30 or so, your chances of having long term success with a Hair Transplant will only increase, as the pattern will be more evident and a good doctor will be able to effectively estimate where the hairline should go. Best of Luck! Panama Jimmy
  8. Robin, Thanks for sharing :-) For a patient with fine hair, that is a nice hairline that filled in! Panama Jimmy
  9. myeddula51, Have you taken a look at Dr. Madhu's work? Since he is in India, it would make sense to start with Dr. Madhu. Although forum members can always speculate, the best advice source is to go straight to one of the recommended doctors. You definitely have good density, which is a huge advantage! Best of Luck, Panama Jimmy
  10. User_B I only see pics from four months post surgery on your Hair Loss Website. Please post photos for us so we can give better feedback. Thanks, Panama Jimmy
  11. ions, Nothing against homeopathic medicine. On this forum we're pretty focused on results and documentation from multiple sources over time, but the test you point out is worth noting. It would be cool if you documented it and got some results. Maybe you would change some minds? It can't hurt to try. Panama Jimmy
  12. Mick, Yes, looks like great coverage for the number of grafts. A very natural looking forelock grew in! Please keep us posted on the 2nd round, as it looks like he'd be an excellent candidate for further work. Panama Jimmy
  13. Dr. Lindsey, Looks good! Amazing this guy golfed in a tournament the next day!! Not advisable, but a nice testament to what you could do if you wanted immediately following an HT ;-) Panama Jimmy
  14. Atif, It would help to know your age, but yes, it appears you have a typical pattern that would give you enough donor follicles to work on your crown and front. The last photo of the back of your head makes it tough to tell if a strip would work best. If not, FUE may be an option. Both Ferudini and Devroye do excellent work. I encourage you to consult with both of them and also reach out to others on the forum who have had work done by these doctors. Also, it would be great if you would start a hair blog with photos so we can see your progression once you choose the right doctor. Best of Luck! Panama Jimmy
  15. PathsPatient, Looks good for 3 months and I'm sure in the next 3-6 you'll see it start to really fill in. Thanks for posting. Panama Jimmy
  16. Nitelite2003, It might seem like nobody can relate when you feel that down, but trust me, I've been there and so have many others. It doesn't seem like it now, but your Mother's early return from work was a blessing and happened for a reason. Don't forget that. The most important thing here is that you've got to face the fact that you have a problem with depression. A severe problem. People don't attempt suicide for any reason unless there is a severe depression issue. Yes, your hairloss may have triggered the way you feel and set off a deep depression, but please realize, for anyone losing their hair, trying to kill yourself is well outside of a normal reaction. Thousands of men your age or younger every day face the same grief from hairloss without attempting suicide. Just realize you have a problem with depression and you need help. That is the first step to recovery. Before you deal with anything related to hair loss you need to get help from a psychiatrist. It is nothing to be ashamed of. A good shrink can help WAY more than a Hair Transplant. If you don't have money for a shrink, immerse yourself in research about depression. Find a support group locally or a depression forum on the Internet. Having a chemical imbalance in your brain is very possible to fix with the right meds, and once you do, you will no longer feel suicidal about your hair loss. Also, remember that life is cyclical. Bad times eventually turn around, and when they come back again, as they always do, you'll be better prepared and wiser. You WILL get through this my friend. Although it doesn't seem like it, there WILL be many amazing things in your future. Please, focus on getting help for your depression and then you will be able to focus with clarity on other relatively minor issues, and yes, in the whole scheme of life hair loss actually is a very minor issue. There are a lot of people who care on this site, so please reach out to any of us and know that we are here! Panama Jimmy
  17. Slowjo, Many users starting Rogaine (minoxidil) find that shedding can occur at a higher rate than normal for up to 3 months, but that by 6 months or so all those hairs have grown back and they have more density. So, it is important that you continue with the treatment once you start it. Unfortunately, some uninformed users simply give up before the treatment even has a chance to work. I have been taking generic finasteride (much cheaper than Propecia) for almost 4 years now with no side effects. I personally believe the risk of side effects is exaggerated due to paranoia, although some of course do experience side effects. This is something that, once started, should not be stopped or hair loss could return to prior condition. However, if you do stop because of side effects, the side effects should go away, but there are reports on the Internet (not sure how valid) of some individuals with permanent issues. Panama Jimmy
  18. Kitty21, Unless you have a Sinead O'Connor hairstyle, or unless it is very thin in the donor area, the scar from a strip procedure shouldn't even be noticeable. I recommend going this route because it is quicker, cheaper, and most feel that it yields better results. Good Luck :-) Panama Jimmy
  19. Sac, As long as the follicles taken from the donor strip were genetically meant to stay in for the life of the patient, then yes, they are permanent. However, there is no way to know this in advance. Only time will tell. Panama Jimmy
  20. azn_guy, Hey, that looks pretty decent for only 3 months. I don't think you should have anything to worry about, but don't fret if you don't get explosive growth in month 4. Everyone grows differently. Thanks for the update :-) Panama Jimmy
  21. I know FUE is a more time intensive procedure, but the cost here sounds pretty outrageous to me! Is this in line with pricing others have seen for a similar procedure from recommeded docs? Anyone? Panama Jimmy
  22. Mane Attraction, I applaud you on willing to go the extra mile (several thousand actually) in order to receive treatment from your chosen doctor. Great write up and great results! Panama Jimmy
  23. Shah, It's all about choosing a doctor with a good track record, but also a doctor who you can relate to and communicate well with when you consult with them. It's a very personal choice! Best of Luck :-) Panama Jimmy
  24. rayj8, It would be abnormal if you weren't nervous! Taking matters into your own hands with a well researched plan is the opposite of actions that lead to depression! Patience and Positivity are all you need now :-) Panama Jimmy
