Guest
Do you live in Pakistan? If so, try meeting some of the doctors patients. Meeting patients in person is the best guide. No amount of advise can equal that.
S.A.Mirza
Hi..pinda..i got my HT from Dr. Mohmand...I'm based in Islamabad and he is a local surgeon...it's been four months since the HT and the the progress is slow and steady..i can give a good evaluation after a couple of months as to how effective the procedure was overall...i received 2669 grafts and have suffered some shockloss.. only time will reveal the whole picture but i remain positive... the surgery and the staff and the support at Dr. Mohmand's clinic is top notch and makes you feel at ease..the procedure itself was smooth and comfortable..i definitely recommend that you check him out...Sam
Administrators Pat - Community Publisher Posted November 2, 2007 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2007 Pinda, Dr. Mohmand is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network based on the high quality of his work. I suggest you give him serious consideration. Best wishes, Pat Never Forget - It's what radiates from within, not from your skin, that really matters! Senior Member the B spot Posted November 7, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 7, 2008 So is Dr. Mohmand currently recommended on HTN? I thought his membership was revoked until he demonstrated he was exclusively using microscopes with success. If he was re-admitted, when did this occur? Bill - Seemiller
Jason, You are correct in your recollection of events. However, you must have missed the announcement that we've chosen to recommend him again since he is now regularly using microscopes to sliver the donor strip. View my announcement here. Senior Member the B spot Posted November 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 8, 2008 Wow that was quick. Not that I have anything against Dr. Mohmand, but don't you think after initially overlooking the fact that he did not use microscopes we should see some grown out results before hopping back on the bus? At LEAST some intra-operative photos? Going from microscopes to using microscopes might just be the most revolutionary change in the HT industry. It is a big change and not one I think can be accomplished in 2 months by announcing that they now have microscopes. Perhaps a video of the techs using them or something? Of course, if the other members have no issue(which I am not sure why this wasn't put before the forum like every other doctor who is seeking recommendation/Coalition status) especially since this doctor was removed, then added just 2 months later---I have no issue then. Senior Member PLEASE GROW PLEASE Posted November 8, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted November 8, 2008 I agree with B-spot especially since the Dr said the techs dont like the scopes.
Bill - Seemiller
Guys, I appreciate your concerns. However, since we all agreed publicly that he already does great work, we didn't feel the need to re-present him to this community. His suspension was due to a failure to meet one technical requirement. Now that he meets it and has been using them for over 4 months, he now meets our standards and we now once again recommend him. Senior Member Dr. Mohammad Humayun Mohma Posted December 6, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted December 6, 2008 Ocourse I Have send some pictures but then as they are still, I understand the concerns. So I will be sending a video that will not only show the microscope being use but also will show that the grafts have been prepared by techs, YES they do not like it cause it takes that extra efforts and time but then if it has to be done then it will be done. --- I am a medical advisor to Lexington International and Hairmax. What ever I say is my personal opinion. Dr. Mohmand is recommended on the Hair Transplant Network
Senior Member AMR1 Posted February 11, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2009 Hi Guys I have done 2450 grafts at Dr Humayun's Surgery on 26th Jan 2009 and while there I did ask a question about this microscope issue before starting to Dr Humayun and during my surgery microscopes were used. So I can say that I have actually witnessed the use of microscope at his practice. 1600 grafts FUT Mr May (UK) Sept 1996 https://www.wimpoleclinic.com'>https://www.wimpoleclinic.com 1600 grafts FUT Mr May (UK) February 1998 https://www.wimpoleclinic.com 2475 grafts FUT Dr Mohammed Humayun Mohmand (Pakistan) 27th January 2009 http://www.hti.com.pk 3550 Total Grafts (3000 rear donor area & 400 from beard and 150 breast area) FUE & PRP Treatment with Dr Emrah Cinik (ISHRS), Istanbul, Turkey. 10th October 2017 http://www.emrahcinik.com/ My Blog & Hair loss website story: https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1123
