Post HT #2 Day 10

My desire for HT #2 was to fill in the 3 inch perfectly bald circle on my crown. Secondly to enhance the current hairline by softening in front of what is there and increasing the density of the first cm. of hairline. I am estatic at this point. I don't think the pictures quite do the crown work justice. To my eye, the density is a perfect match and now my entire head is covered!!! If you look closely at the photos, you can also see the enhanced hairline work. Cheers.

Salt-N-Peppa,

You look great for day 10. I can definitely see the new hairline work (which will give you a much more dense appearance when people look at you head on) and you should have some decent coverage (though not a lot of density) in the crown. In fact, but the time your hair all grows in, I expect you and I will have a similar amount of hair. NOw the waiting begins. Happy growing.

Thanks Bro- still in a state of euphoria post HT-soon the depressing stage of waiting. I, like you , don't intend to post more photos until about 3-4 months post HT. Cheers. S-n-P

Salt N Peppa,

You've covered a great deal of area. Congratulations on going all the way from front to back. The work looks very refined.

Thanks Pat. With a finite amout of donor hair I ,in consult with Dr Hasson, went for complete coverage though at a thinner density. Being 48 years old, I felt the slightly thinner look was age appropriate and I could avoid being left with a bald spot. Everyone is different but that was the road I chose to travel down. Cheers, S-n-P

S&P,

I am 46 and I think you have a very smart plan. Those that super dense pack the front, and leave nothing behind it, IMO, crys out you had a HT. Your look will be very natural. Also, toppik works very well when you have some hair vs no hair (in the crown for instance), just in case you need to thicken up for special occasions. Hopefully you won't even need to use it but it will work better if needed.

Congratulations! icon_smile.gif

I have not tried Toppix but I do have some experience with Dermamatch. I have found that product to work very well if used in modest amounts. I had no fear of someone seeing that product on my head when used with a light touch. What is your experience regarding Toppix? Also how does it do in the gym or in the rain....thanks in advance. Oh, thanks for the comments about my HT strategy. Some guys can deal with a fairly typical bald spot that many men get to get greater density up front. Thats cool, just not my desire.

S-N-P-

You'll be pleased having the crown covered with the rest. Looks good. I'll bet you're psyched for it to come in!!

IMO dermmatch is better than toppik. I used dermmatch briefly while waiting for my crown to fill in from HT #2. If you get caught in the rain or sweat much while working out toppik will come off.......dermmatch won't.

Thanks, I'll stick with Dermamatch. I don't want to use it as a lifetime crutch, merely to assist me until I have full growth from HT #2. Until then, "all things in moderation". Thanks for the knowledge. S-n-P

Interesting observation. After my first HT of 4944, my head remained pink for quite some time. In fact, Dr Hasson mentioned the pinkness when I was in his office for HT #2. But, for some reason, my scalp did not retain any redness after HT #2 (1960). I don't have any logical reason because my crown is now at the same density my front 2/3 .

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
