  1. Seems that people start MSM post-op. Wanted to get some opinions as to whether it has made a significant difference in hair growth, both native and transplanted. I'm thinking about getting the GNC MSM 1500, but wanted some personal experiences. Thanks.

  3. thanks for the response...i'll give the nanogen a shot.
  4. Great Topic! I've been hitting the gym hard and will continue right up until HT-Day (next Thurs). I plan to take the 2 weeks off until the stiches come out and then get back into the weight room. It seems that everything I traditionally do in the gym would put *some* pressure on the area. So, I would recommend doing about 50% of your usual for about a month and then building up every two weeks.
  5. I've been on and off Propecia for the last 3 years, but have consistently started using it again in January 08. During that time, I started getting some hyper-pigmented dark spots on my arms, back, and legs. I went in to see my dermatologist and performed a biopsy. Apparently, the biopsy indicated some "allergic" elements and she thinks its Propecia. Has anyone heard/experienced anything similiar? The spots just appeared, weren't itchy or red. Her recommendation is to stop using Propecia for a month and re-do a biopsy to see if the allergic elements are still present. Since I do have an HT scheduled for the end of next week, is it advisable to stop now or continue using Propecia for another 2-3 weeks and then start the one month trial? Frankly, I would rather have the hair and deal with the dark spots.

  7. Congrats and Good Luck! Looking forward to a write-up and pics once all is said and done.
  8. I've been using Propecia on and off for about 3 years. About two years ago, I started getting dark spots near my neck, my shoulder and arms. I went in for a biopsy with my dermatologist and she mentioned that there were allergic stimulants in the biopsy. She's telling me to stop taking the Propecia!!! I've been on Propecia religiously for the past 3 months and now having to stop is going to be tough. Any suggestions? Has anyone ever heard of this kind of effect on the skin or being allergic to some of Propecia's ingredients?
  9. Hate, I agree with Arries, its probably too early to see the full effects. Where did you do your procedure?
  10. I figured I would stick to just walking wherever I could whenever I had the chance. The diet thing might be a little harder... Thanks for the response.
  11. any specific reason why? Have you used both products? What did you like with nanogen vs toppik? I'm currently a Toppik user and looking for better alternatives if there are any.
  12. I've been working out 4-5 times per week and have some results that I would rather not lose post-HT. I'm training hard(weights and running) right now and will continue till HT day. I'm going to take the 10-12 days off just to reset the body. Any suggestions on what I could do to stay in shape during the 1 month post-HT?
  13. If you start Minox post-HT for the transplanted hairs, will they fall out if you stop using Minox?
  14. Thanks for the reply. What's considered a loose-fitting hat? My fitted hats are size 7 1/2. Should I not get a fitted hat and just get one of the traditional caps which are adjustable?
  15. I'm scheduled to see Dr. Feller is less than two weeks. I've been following this forum for quite some time and was hoping for some advice on pre-HT things to purchase. My list thus far: -Roller Pillow -Aloe Vera (not sure what kind) -Witch Hazel (from Spex - Is it avail in the US?) -soft bristle tooth brush - to clean staples -VICODIN -Omegas (any recommendations?) Any other recommendations? I've been on propecia for about 3 mos, but not yet using the foam. I will start that after the HT. I'm going in for about 3,000 grafts.
