  1. I'm a little less than 6 weeks post-op and plan on getting back into racquetball. Is this advisable?

  3. thanks for the reply omviki. Based on my search, he has had an HT in Dubai, but there is no indication that it was Armani. Agree with the confidentiality aspect.
  4. Not sure about the 30 day comment. From personal experience, I've had hairs on my pillow in the morning and notice a few fall out in the shower when I shampoo.
  5. Any articles/data to support the claim that he performed the surgeries? Just because he has an office in Dubai doesn't mean he was the doctor.
  6. Some people have had success with Rogaine in the frontal area. I'm not sure if you are on any meds right now, but your best bet would be to get on propecia and rogaine as soon as possible. You will need about a year to determine if the combination is working for you.
  7. Eman - The hair is starting to come in as it was pre-op. Before pre-op, I used Toppik and concealed the hairloss very well and I think that was a factor of the length and amount of hair present. The problem with leaving it this way is that it would be a substantial difference as to how I looked before my HT. After having a look at the 1 month pictures again, I do agree it looks a bit off and I've probably used way too much. I'll give it another shot and see what happens.
  8. Bill - Thanks for the reply. I didn't take offense to your comment at all. It actually made me re-examine the pictures and see what I missed. I did put a ton of the concealer on and appreciate the advice to use less. One of the good things I like about the blog and this forum is the opportunity to get some real feedback rather than going out and not looking natural.
  9. Its great that your girlfriend is being proactive about the process, but the key ingredient in deciding what to do and where is research. With forums such as these, there is a ton of information about various clinic, the positive (and negatives) of different procedures and actual people who have gone through the process. If you don't want to dissapoint your girlfriend, the best thing to do would be to give her more information through these forums. Finally, I concur with what has been stated above. This is a permanent procedure and is not to be taken lightly. Visit as many clinics as you can and select the one that YOU feel most comfortable with. It will make a world of difference.
  10. I've had experience using both and I really think the foam is much better than the liquid. The foam is easier to manage into your hair whereas the liquid just runs all over your scalp.
  11. THINinHOUSTON - Not quite sure what percentage. I would say about 50% so far. I did have some native hairs in the transplanted areas, so it might be even more than 50%.
  12. Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I was worried very worried about the scar and your comments helped alleviate some of my concerns. whyme - yea, its toppik. I'm going to try and apply some of the dermmatch and nonogen in the next few days and see what happens. Bill - Thanks for the words of wisdom. I'm not sure how to make it less obvious. Does it look obvious because the hair is short? Do you have any suggestions specifically with using any of the concealers (dermmatch, toppik, nanogen)?
  13. Hey Everyone, Its about 1 month since I had my procedure with Dr. Feller. I've updated my blog to include pictures at 1-month, 1-month (with concealer) and 1-month scar. As you will see from the pictures, my scar on the right side looks bad, compared to the left and back. Not sure why since I've been very careful about sleeping, workout out, etc. Does this look like shock loss or a wide scar? Today was the first time that I tried to use concealer. It doesn't look too bad, but I would some of your thoughts. Please have a look at my blog and let me know your comments and/or suggestions! http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=689

  15. No idea how good Dr Bernstein is, but I did see an article where he talked about the use of hair thickeners in this month's Men's Fitness/Health - Best Life.
  16. Thanks for the reply. I figured I would try to do something for a healthy diet since I am not too active post-op. I started to run 2-3 times in the past week at about 50% capacity and started lifting at about 50% capacity (shoulder press, tricep kickbacks, pushups, curls and pullups). In any case, I will take your advice and purchase some of the stuff this week.
  17. Feller had one done, not sure who the surgeon was.
  18. Didn't know where else to post this. Has anyone tried the Abs Diet by David Z? I bought the book a few months ago, but it has just been collecting dust on my shelf. Any advice on how to ease into it? How did it work out for you?
  19. Thanks for the advice. I just got back from a cardio session. Did the elliptical for about 20 minutes. I noticed that if I look down too often, the area would feel a little tight. I just kept my head to the sky for the entire workout. It definetly feels good to get back into the mix of things and break a sweat!
  20. Hairbank, I haven't start any exercises whatsoever. I'm trying to be as cautious as possible, but go about my daily business. Starting tomorrow (Sunday), I am going to start doing some cardio. I'm going to see how I feel and take it from there. I really want to get back in the gym and lift a bit, but I understand that I have to ease into and that is what I'm plannig on doing. Do you have any exercises that you would recommend to stay away from, based on your personal experience? I've heard that squats and benching can put strain on the scar, so I'm going to stay away from those for a bit. How about something like pull-ups and dips?
  21. I'm over the 2 week hump and wore a fitted baseball hat today and the donor area didn't feel uncomfortable. Thanks for the response.
  22. Many have mentioned that you should wear a loose-fitting hat post-HT, if you need to. When can I start wearing a fitted hat and will it affect any of the transplanted hair/donor area?

  24. Hairbank, Thanks for the post, makes complete sense. Since you've had two HTs and the experience of getting back into the gym post-op, what was your strategy in the past and has it translated into a thin scar?
  25. I've noticed that the donor area starts to ache if I read a book at my desk after 10 minutes or so. I'm going to just go some light cardio for the first week and see how I feel. On another note, if you know that you are going to go back for another HT, does it matter if you slightly stretch your scar?
