  5. In the first half of this video, I walk you through three specific hair transplant cases showing you before and after photos of the patients. We see 3 patients with advanced hair loss and the great progress we've made with their hair after one procedure, and I discuss the plans for future procedures to continue to restore their hair. Patient #1: 3500 grafts via FUE, 2 day procedure Patient #2: 4600 grafts via FUT Patient #3: 4093 grafts via FUT In the second half of the video (5:25) I show you several patients who are in the waiting phase of their hair transplants. I address some common questions patients have the weeks and months following their procedures and discuss what you can expect after your hair transplant. One thing I find particularly educational is the contrast between patients at 2 weeks post-op who diligently follow the hair washing instructions and patients who do not. Not cleaning the scalp properly after the procedure increases the likelihood that scabs will develop, which is discussed in this video. 9. This is a 56 Year old man with Class VI hair loss who received 2 Strip hair transplants by Dr. Parsa Mohebi. FUT Hair Transplant was done with 6089 follicular unit grafts 18 month follow up from 2nd procedure. Miniaturization Study (Microscopic Evaluation) Location Miniaturization Hair Line: 90 Corners: 100 Top: 90 Crown: 100 Donor Area: 10 Here is the patient's hair characteristics: Hair loss class: VI Hair color: Dark Brown Skin tone: White Hair character: Wavy Hair thickness: Fine Donor density: 2.1 Scalp laxity: 1.5-2 Here is how the grafts were distributed: Hairline: 450 Front: 2050 Top: 1089 Crown: 1000 Ones: 508 Twos: 4249 Threes: 1150 Fours: 182 Total: 6089
  10. This patient came in wanting to address his hair loss in the scalp in addition to his fairly visible strip scar from previous FUT procedures he had elsewhere. We placed 1,000 grafts in the crown area and roughly 500 into the scar, which was about 5-6mm in width and stretched from ear to ear. We were able to put approximately 40% density inside the scar, which will greatly diminish its visibility. For more videos and live updates, follow us on Snapchat @drparsamohebi.
  11. This video showcases a 26 year old patient with significant hair loss in the hairline and corners. We focused on densely packing the hairline, keeping in mind that he will most likely need crown work done in the future. He received 1862 grafts via FUE, and this video shows the procedure from start to finish. We will keep this thread updated with his photos as his results start to come in. For more videos and live updates, follow us on Snapchat @drparsamohebi.
  12. This video showcases a small FUE case of 1,000 grafts where the patient did not want to completely shave his donor area. This story shows you how we achieve this by doing layer shaving of the donor area so that the work is undetectable in the back. If you're able/willing to let your hair grow long enough, we can shave the strip of the scalp that we will be using for extraction, and the hair above the strip will then be long enough to cover up the entire donor area. 14. This patient is an NW4 with very thick hair and a slightly better than average donor density. We performed this 3500 FUE Gigasession over the course of two days, extracting and placing 2000 grafts on Day 1 and the remaining 1500 on Day 2. This video also shows the importance of a surgeon's ability to utilize various instruments and methods of extraction based on each individual patient and their body's needs. Robotic, motorized, manual, different punches, sharp vs. duel, etc. There is no "one size fits all" approach to hair transplants, and we modify our technique depending on what works best for the patient and what will give us the best results. 15. Two weeks after an FUE procedure, this patient came back so we could address the temples and temporal points. The temporal points are very important to the youth of your face and if they are receded you may look older even if you have a solid frontal hair line. Restoration of the temporal points is challenging because of the steep angle and special curvatures and alignments of the hair shafts. However, if temporal point restoration is done right, it is a great procedure to bring back the youth of your face. For more videos and live updates, follow us on Snapchat @drparsamohebi.

  17. Hi Mia. The patient had thorough evaluation to determine the causes of her elevated male hormones prior to the procedure, and her physician placed her on anti-androgen medications (such as spironolactone) to control these high levels. Her hair loss was stabilized for a year before we decided to move forward with the hair transplant. We will update this thread with photos as the patient progresses.
  18. This patient came in looking for a repair of a previous hair transplant that left him unsatisfied with the unnatural hairline and the pluggy looking grafts. The targeted repair areas include the donor area and the hairline. The patient received 800 grafts via FUE with the goal to increase the overall density of the hairline and make the overall aesthetic much more pleasing and natural looking. The patient's previous hair transplant also left the density in the donor area very uneven, due to the concentrated removal of the grafts and the larger punch used for extraction. We fix this by strategically harvesting the grafts from the previously untouched regions of the scalp so as to even out the overall density in the donor region.

  21. This Snapchat story spotlights a female strip hair transplant to restore the temples and front corners and give the patient a solid, feminine hairline. The patient received 2,400 grafts. I've seen this patient for a couple years now. She first came to me with typical male pattern hair loss, and we referred her to a an endocrinologist to get their input on how to tackle this from a hormonal level. Upon stabilizing the hair loss, we were then able to move forward with the hair transplant.
  22. Thanks for the feedback! We have a lot of fun doing them and I'm glad to hear you find value in them. Our hope is that they serve as an entertaining and educational resource for anyone interested in learning more about the ins and outs of hair transplants.
