  1. Looks like a great result. I am surprised he got such great coverage with 2500 grafts. Well done! Z
  2. Great to see a Rahal patient posting. Haven't seen that many posts of his patients lately. Looks like it will be a great result. Once you get a chance it will be great to see some pre-op pics too. Happy growing! Z
  3. Congratulations on your whole life transformation, not just you hair!! Well done ... few have the determination and stamina to make such a body transformation as you. You are an inspiration to those that can see once confidence is replenished you can achieve amazing things. Sometimes its a bit more hair in the front third of the hair line that gives us that confidence sometimes its just a change of attitude. Whatever it is that makes us more confident though it is worth it as is shown by how you have changed you outlook on life, your health and the people around you by being a role model. Z
  4. Sorry to hear about your ongoing disappointment with the outcome Sean. You seem to have been very meticulous in your surgeon selection, a healthy guy and you followed meticulous post surgery protocol from what I read in your detailed account of your procedure. You do deserve a good outcome and I wish you the best where this journey leads. Z
  5. Congratulations on your fantastic progress thus far. I have my procedure with Dr Rahal in less than two weeks so this is very reassuring. Z
  6. Looks fantastic ftbpicks! It makes me more relaxed about my procedure on April 10th, seeing someone with Dr. Rahal, FUE and same number of grafts with a great result already at the half way mark. Thanks for your continuing posts. Quick question; are you planning on continuing your Proscar and Rogaine regimen indefinitely or only during the growth period Thanks.
  7. Paranoid often? Lol ... I wasn't insinuating he was a scam artist just that he has unproven results and for some strange reason isn't showcasing his patient results on his website. So my concern is the quality of his work and experience not whether he is a fraud! I don't know why you would put a down payment down if you had such a creepy feeling. cosmetic surgery clinics are obviously going to be very friendly because it's elective, competitive business not because they want to scam you. It's not like an universal paid medical clinic where they don't need business and can be rude and give poor servi. So dial down your scam-meter and find a recommended surgeon who has hundreds of proven patients.
  8. How weird is that! His before and after section on his website are not even before and after pictures!!! they are just letters from supposed patients .... my spider senses are tingling and I don't like it ...
  9. You need a better search engine. Don't trust websites and claims on them, however here is his site apparently. Would be good to have forum members speak up re: first hand experience with this surgeon though. Long Island NeoGraft | Dr. Keith Durante
  10. Hey ftbpicks, Looking forward to your 6 month pics in 10 days time :-) as that is really where people have had some serious growth. Of course you have already had serious growth but nice to see at the half way mark what to expect from Dr. Rahal FUE work. Thanks and happy growing! Have my procedure in a month + 3 days!
  11. That is awesome! Imagine what we can accomplish when we aren't occupied with worries and insecurities ... use this freedom to its greatest potential!
  12. While the result is not a transformation by any means, the hairline IS noticeably stronger/denser in the front from the pictures that the clinic provided. The pre-op pictures showed heavily minaturized hairs that were on their way out in a matter of years. Now the patient has a solid, male pattern baldness resistant hairs in the area so there shouldn't be further loss in the area. Likely a fair bit of shock loss but still he should know the results are an improvement from the comparison shots from the clinic.
  13. Looks fantastic man! Thanks for continuing to post for the rest of us with hair hunger and greed
  14. Could you post a picture similar to your pre-op side view with your hair combed off to the side? That picture showed real miniaturization of your hairs and was looking for a similarly styled hair 1 year post op and don't see it. If you could post one like that, that would be quite revealing. Thanks.
  15. Coming up on your 5 months post-op early next week! Don't forget to treat us with some photos to update. I saw Dr. Rahal last week and he was able to squeeze me in exactly 2 months from now for a 2500 graft FUE. I have a 3 week break for school between my school so it is such perfect timing I couldn't say no :-) Z
  16. Unfortunately I can't comment on that as I don't know all the parts of the procedure, the skills needed for each part and how long each takes. Not an area I've ever had any exposure to ... sorry. I am just extrapolating my experience in general surgery to cometic surgery here. :-)
  17. As a medical student with operating room experience I can tell you that surgery is a 'team sport' and the surgeon doesnt and shouldn't do the whole procedure themselves. The surgeon should do the technically most difficult or risky tasks and supervise the overall direction of the procedure. So it is a misallocation of resources to have the surgeon doing the menial work when he/she should be rested/not fatigued when they have to 'perform' with the artistry portion of whatever part they are involved in.
  18. As others are saying, your hair is looking great and at such an early stage! No surgeon can guarantee every patient a perfect result as each human has different physiological nuances that may not make them a good candidate for surgery that may not be able to be predicted upfront. This is an elective surgery and people who pay good money for it want good results so I understand that they are very vocal when they don't get the results they want. Though their experiences definitely dilute all the happy patients who stop blogging and posting because hair loss is now the last thing on their minds. So I understand that a few loud bad experiences are what a lot of us still doing research are reading but it certainly still shakes ones' previous solid confidence in the procedure. What is very reassuring for me is that even despite poor results by a couple of forum members Dr. Rahal's clinic is bending over backwards for these people happy with free repairs and excellent communication. So that is very reassuring even when it may have been the individual physiology of the patients that caused the poor result and not the clinic or surgeon at all. So that makes me much more comfortable going forward into my consultation in 2.5 weeks time.
  19. Looks great. Looking forward to seeing what the upcoming months bring. I have my initial assessment in early February (5th?) with Dr. Rahal's clinic. One question: What level of density did he put in the grafts in the front? Have a great holiday season!
  20. Hope all is going well. Quick question; how long did the 'ugly duckling' stage last where you didn't really want to go out in public? where it was obvious that you had some sort of 'head surgery'? Thanks.
