  1. Either way, they are working on the problem. Doing something to make the solution vs doing nothing, makes a whole lot of difference in an overall perspective. 10-20-30 years ago no one even tried to do anything about solving that problem.
  2. Well it is a start. A good one if you ask me. Even dr. Rassman added a positive post about it. And we know how much he is negative about this new tech. Press Release - Aderans Completes Part of Their Phase 2 Study - Balding Blog
  3. Before you make such claims, do a little more research. I can not say anything about the product yet, but it sure is not a snake oil. Serious science is behind this. http://www.histogen.com/downloads/stem_cell_summit.pdf
  4. Nope, they are starting at spring because they haven?t got the cash on time to start at November, they told that almost a year ago. Now they have the cash, so they can start as re planned. Folks from Histogen are not asses like ones from Follica so they actually answer your questions.
  5. Latest news about alopecia areata, breakthroughs. It seems that progress is made in all fields of medicine. Professor discovers genetic basis for hair loss
  6. Histogen will start their phase II in Feb 2011. Aderans(who bought Intercytex - a british company who first cloned hair 1-2 years ago) will do another round of Phase II, they probably found something else even more effective during the first testing so they are trying that option too. Follica is silent but I have heard that someone talked to Daphne Zohar who told that things are moving fast and that we will hear from them soon. Trichoscience with Dr. Jerry Shapiro and Dr. Rolf Hoffman are also going to start Phase II testings in Europe(if haven?t already started it). There are other players too in the game and each day a small piece of a puzzle is being found which will lead us to the solution of the problem. When will that happen is unknown but if you examine what we had 10 years ago this is one hell of a step forward.
  7. Well they?ll sure going to make hairloss a thing of a past, soon I believe. I believe that because there is an interest in it, a big, big money. And they really didn?t help humanity that great yet achieved a true fortune. People who have an HIV, cancer and other stuff have a reason to be down. This may sound cruel but that is the way moneymakers are these days cruel and greedy.
  8. Lil?o depression gotcha? don?t make yer catcha.
  9. What can you say about this? Stem cell researchers may have found baldness cure - The Irish Times - Thu, Aug 19, 2010
  10. Well things are going fast. I?ve heard that a man in USA was treated with embrional stem cells and that it cured his gangrene toes that were set to be amputated due to diabetes complications. If you look what we had 10 years ago I must say that things have changed drastically. The biggest obstacle in this business is FDA, but some countries do not have these restrictions so they will enjoy this technology sooner, and serve as some sort of guinea pigs. If hair treatment comes in Asia, Europe, Africa, Moon first, I am flying there.
  11. Well I don?t agree completely. If you look at this article and many others you will see that they have already cloned esophagus, fingers, ears, bladders, heart, heart valves etc. So aren?t these organs and organ parts also "a small section of a carpet in the house"? I just can?t believe that they can?t clone some hair. Growing Body Parts - 60 Minutes - CBS News
  12. Some Histogen updates. If you ask me, this firm looks like it means a serious business.
  13. Fresh Histogen updates from July 13th(it was not Friday ) 2010
  14. Some Aderans updates at last. It seems that 2014 is Aderans timeline. http://www.aderans.co.jp/hd/english/ir/financial/pdf/plan/m_management_handout_e2.pdf http://www.aderans.co.jp/hd/english/ir/financial/pdf/plan/m_management_handout_e.pdf Archived Conference
  15. That video is old, I remembered later. But this technique is new. We shall see what is cookin? probably soon because this company is probably the biggest player in hair multiplication research industry and has funds that no one else has.
  16. Fresh Aderans updates(mentioning Ji Gami method). http://www.aderansresearch.com/ari_science.html Video. http://www.aderansresearch.com/ari_whatwedo_moa.html
  17. Some updates from Follica at last. They are getting cash but no scientific updates, quiet job or a failure, you be the judge. http://www.xconomy.com/boston/2010/06/01/follica-the-biotech-with-potential-drug-against-baldness-nabs-7-5m-venture-financing/#comments
  18. mahhong logically in financial way that scenario may be true because this is just another fin/dut "solution" and making money on desperate people bringing them half-cocked solutions. Personally, I think if they do not make a good solution affordable for the masses people will more less and less go to HT?s. That technique is middle aged, would you like to go and place leeches on yourself just because those "new" leeches now are mechanical and not swamp ones? now in the 21 st century? I believe not. Baldness is getting more and more accepted every year and people will simply not going to give their hard earned money to some half-ass solutions that give again bad results and shove poison "medications" down their throats for the rest of their lives. If people would boycott those primitive methods HT and potential future "half-ass HT?s" they would have made scientists to make something worth of their money.
  19. FDA reforms.... http://healthcarereform.nejm.org/?p=3440&query=home
  20. Aderans updates from last week. http://prudentpressagency.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=17588
  21. I agree fin. What do you think about Follica? I personally think that Cotsarelis made a fool out of himself with all those claims and now he is hiding.
  22. 8$/graft that is Rassman?s price on FUE. Rassman (edited by moderator: please find a better way to express yourself than using personal insults). I think we are off topic. This is a section about future hair loss treatment. This method that Gho presents(except allegedly unlimited donor supply) is nothing more than an advanced type of classic FUE technique. Again butchering, blood, pain, swelling.... Not my flava. I am looking forward to see Histogen, Aderans, Follica(big IF that is getting bigger every month and a year that goes by) and others.
