  1. B, good luck man! I know it's going to work out well for you.
  2. This is my feeling about the Pistone surgery that I had. I was not butchered, so I'm thankful for that, but my situation has not improved much if at all. The only thing the surgery did was put funny-looking hair in an area where there was no hair but a normal appearance before. Obviously, I shave or buzz my head closely to minimize the embarrassing nature of the procedure. I'm just lucky that the only thing good that the Doctor did was leave me with a minimal scar. That was pure luck. I'm gonna get something done here in the next 12 months, probably with Feller, as well.
  3. No no no.... I USED to weigh 220 lbs and was all fat. Now I weigh (I checked last night) 158 and am mostly muscle. I have a near perfect diet/eating schedule and run and lift intensely. That's all there is to it, for me.
  4. Pretty nicely done, man. Probably around 8% body fat? You'd look outstanding if you could put on 20 lbs of muscle and maybe creep up to 12% body fat. To each his own, though. What kind of routine(s) do you employ?
  5. I think you mean, MY traps are huge? haha
  6. Haha! I became more obsessed with working out, running, and nutrition than I did with hair loss (believe it or not) and I transformed myself from a 220 lb 5'9 high school fat ass into a college Junior beast! hahaha It was all done naturally. The supplements I used were Fish Oil, BCAAs, Propecia (haha), Green Tea, Creatine, and protein powder....oh, and proper eating schedules.
  7. Are ones other than hair. It's about finding something else and going for it. I've taken it upon myself to become a total athlete. Strong, fast, durable, and agile. Here are some pictures of the changes to other parts of my body in the past 5 months. I'm going to be a badass Marine Corps Officer, and just like I earned my mass, I will earn that title. Before And I'm as fast as I've ever been (3 miles in 18:46). Fuck hair loss.
  8. Thanks JiNC. Still wear a hat as much as I can except in this one Professor's class because he has a "no hat" rule.
  9. Yeah, luckily for me it's not horrendous, discolored, or abnormally wide. It's still there, but it's not really very eye-catching.
  10. I shaved it again today. That's what future Marine Corps Officers have to do... Here I am.... I'm still losing some hair, but not nearly as much, and it seems to be creeping in towards the middle. Kind of like a t-shape (T) pattern. Anyway, it's better than before and the scar isn't too bad in the back. I'll revisit my options in August, following my 10 week stint in Quantico, Virginia for Marine Corps PLC training.
  11. I had the same number of grafts....I used a lot of pain killers in the week-10 days following the operation. Don't be shy about popping those pain pills.
  12. 1. Huge man tits 2. Your dick falls off 3. Testicles shrink to pea-size 4. Loss of memory 5. HAIR LOSS (actually kind of true) 6. Horrendous gas
  13. I think if you bought and used Toppik, you wouldn't need another surgery. Your hair looks pretty good/natural.
  14. How many grafts did you get in your FUE sessions? How many in the first session and how many in the second? Was the cost reasonable?
  15. I had my HT done by Dr. Pistone and if you look up my posts, you'll find that I didn't get satisfactory results.
  16. Well, I want more too, but I didn't get enough in the first place...and I'm only 21 (well, not even 21 til October 17). DAMN genes! haha
  17. Congratulations, that's a very remarkable turnaround.
  18. Pat, if you could talk to Dr. Pistone to ask him why he downplays and doesn't discuss ultra refined follicular unit hair transplantation with patients, that'd be great. His hairloss educator never mentioned that ultra refined was the state of the art, and actually said that Dr. Pistone was utilizing the latest in hair transplantation technology. Only later, after the procedure and during the follow-up visit when I had questions for the Doctor, did he talk about the "hot new thing" being ultra-refined/dense packing grafts. I'm pretty curious to know how he'd respond. Thanks
  19. Shit, that kid has decent hair...if it were me I'd be pretty freaking happy. As I am now I live on pills, concealers, and sometimes shave my head because it looks kinda bad - leaving a nice happy-face scar for all to see. Whatever, I did it to myself. At least it's not a horrible transplant, but definitely a C-.
  20. Hey everyone, It's been 8 months now since I had my surgery and it really does seem like that time went by fast. The first 3 months were slow, but the past 5 just zoomed by. In just 4 more months, I'll again be "eligible" for another session, but I'm still not sure how it's all going to play out. First of all, I'd like to apologize for doubting the posters of this forum. Their words of caution were wise and my aggressive plan-of-action was not exactly a brilliant move. I didn't end up getting butchered but the surgery hasn't met my expectations. So, I'm sorry for the 'tude and I have learned my lesson...the hard way. In the next year, I'm going to check out Dr. Feller's practice and I'll probably go forth with a procedure sometime in February or as late as June of next year. Things will have to play out and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle things financially. I'm shooting for a 2,000 to 3,000 graft session which I think should restore a dense and natural look to my hairline, back through the mid-scalp region. I'm excited to get that done so I won't continue to be self conscious about my hairline. It'd be nice if it were all finished, up front, now...but you don't always hit homeruns. Thanks for all the support and I guess I still do have some more time to see improvement with this transplant, huh? Chris

  22. A good "fish oil" supplement can go a long way in haulting inflammation... http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=910074
  23. Try applying some Dermmatch to it, it might really help in your case. I think it would actually make your head of hair look absolutely normal.
  24. Knowing this only reinforces my decision to consult with Dr. Feller. I'm calling tomorrow to schedule a consult and then I'll hear what the good doctor has to say. This is comforting news indeed...a coalition memeber that is now within auto-travel distance from me. Nice.
