  1. Janna, thank you for mentioning it to Dr Paul. That is very useful information. The idea of me being active and putting extra stress on it is a possibility. Just hoping to get it back to normal as quickly as possible. Thanks again!
  2. Hi Janna, Thank you for your prompt reponse and good wishes. I am comforted to hear that stretching does not seem to be an issue two years on. I am going to post one or two pics tomorrow as don't have my camera to hand. Am wondering could there be some sort of infection? This to me seems unlikely also.
  3. Hi all, I had a 3000 FUT two years ago with Dr Feriduni and it was a great success. All was going really well until about a week and a half ago when I started getting a feeling of irriatation in my scar. It has gradually gotten worse. It is not painful as such but a little sore. It is like I can feel my scar most of the day. The area is sensitive and a little itchy. It felt a little like it was after getting the staples out. I got my brother to look at it and he said that there is no visible redness and it looked ok to him. Could it be scar stretching. Is that possible two years on? I contacted Dr Feriduni's office today and spoke to one of his assistants. He spoke to Dr Feriduni and came back to me to advise that anything I was feeling should not be connected to the surgery and it is best to see my GP. If I am not happy after that then to call them again. Am contacting my GP tomorrow to make an appointment but would appreciate your advice as I would like to put my mind at rest. I know it is impossible to say without seeing but any general advice/ideas on my problem would be very helpful. I would be very interested to hear from someone who has experienced something similiar!! Thanks, Dub
  4. Hi all, 13 month update pics posted. Delighted. My goals have been achieved. Very happy with the hairline and with all the decisions I made. Dr Feriduni is fantastic.
  5. Hi all, I have finally gotten around to updating my blog. Saved some of the photos in the wrong format but leaving them up there for now until I take more to replace them. In summary, a thumbs up so far even though there is a good way to go yet!
  6. Hi Folliclediabolical, That's a mouthful. I had my procedure with Dr Feriduni seven weeks ago and so far everything is going according to plan. I know very little about BHR so can't compare but from my experiences so far I would recommend Dr Feriduni. Hope this helps.
  7. Great topic!! I have to say that some of Dr Feriduni's staff are very hot.
  8. Hi Guys, I am 6 weeks post op and the native hair on my recipient area is slowly growing back (it was shaved down). Most of the transplanted hairs have now fallen out however about 10% remain. In the next few weeks I would like to start using wax again but am wondering would this have a negative effect on the transplanted hairs.
  9. Hey Portugal, That is a fantastic result! Think the hairline is spot on and definitely not too high.
  10. Lastchance, Sparky, Bill and Paddy thank you for your posts and encouragement. Aaron1234, checked out your blog. Great choice in Surgeon. Will be looking out for your updates over the coming months! Thanks Spex for your reply. Nader, the Dub stands for Dublin. I am from Ireland. I am looking forward to seeing your web.
  11. Thanks Spex, I have read your pre and post op guidelines. Very useful. Have stocked up on vitamin e oil, MSM and aloe vera!
  12. Hi all, Had my HT with Dr Feriduni on Friday 18th of September. Everything went very smoothly. It was a much more pleasant experience than anticipated. Thanks to everyone on here for your advice and assistance so far. Am sure I will be needing more support during the dreaded waiting period! Please feel free to check out my blog.
  13. Hi DJS1, I recently got Vitamin E oil from Holland and Barret. You can buy a 74 ml bottle for about ??7 from their website.
  14. Michael, I am having my HT in mid September also. Look foward to comparing notes!
  15. Hey longhair, I don't have any first hand experience of this myself yet but it will be come an issue for me next month when I get my HT. I too am big into running and am wondering what I will do. I remember Bill posted here recently, saying to stay off the gym and heavy training for up to a month after. He did say that an exercise bike is the best way to go after about 10 days. Less chance of scar stretching due to fluid movement on the bike.
  16. Hi HM, Great update. Well done on your choice. Both scar and transplanted area look really good! Look forward to following your progress.
  17. Thanks for your reply Lastchance. That's what I was thinking. I will give it a try anyway!
  18. Fully agree with HairDew and Forrest. The hairline looks very natural. Dr Feriduni, I am looking forward to my procedure in September!
  19. Good research there Bill! It does seem a little unprofessional that Dr Collins cannot put a better estimate on the cost of a repair. Maybe it is a stategy by the defense team to get a higher amount of money. However, I'd imagine the judge would award for the cost of the repair + damages.
  20. Hi Guys, I am booked in for a HT with Dr Feriduni in Belgium for September. When I was doing my research I saw the following statement on Dr Collins website: "Medical and surgical professional fees may be claimed against income tax on a MED 1 Form" Is it possible to claim for an overseas HT through MED 1? Have any of you guys done this? It would be an added bonus to get the 20% tax relief.

  22. It is a very interesting question. I do not know the answer. I am sure someone on this forum can give you an answer or at least a good theory. Would be very interested to hear it. If we knew more on this topic, could this help in the prevention of MPB?
  23. Why would you go to the effort if you do not need to?
  24. Fantastic result so far! Hard to believe only six months in!
