Give the lad a beak lads for goodness sake. If he wants to go for surgery let him go it’s his life and his head, He obviously does not want to spend his twenties bald. HLC are not cowboys they wouldn’t work on him unless they knew he would be ok for the future. I’m 25 and I’ve had 2 hair transplants Already best decisions I ever made. Will I be ok in 20 years? maybe not I dunno il jump that hurdle when it comes. My advice is defo get the surgery done but go on finasteride and minoxidil aswell.

No ones getting on at him , we are all here for the same reason . It’s horrible to lose hair at an early age . You feel your youth has been stolen and you will do anything to get it back as quick as possible .
But life doesn’t end at 30... he has got his whole life ahead of him , and at his age careful planning is involved .

say he goes ahead , he gets his front third done , and gets a nice hairline and enjoys a couple of years of having the illusion of a full head of hair . Fantastic , he feels great . Confidence is back , all is right with the world .

Then he hits 30 ( or probably even earlier ) the problems start.. he starts to thin , recede even further back behind the hairline ? He is then playing catch up , with a limited amount of grafts , probably around 3000 grafts . Having to play catch up with 3000 grafts with 2/3rds of coverage to make up . Not a nice place to be in . He will be feeling even worse than he does now , all for what ? A couple of years in his late 20’s to feel better .

It makes  no difference to anyone’s life on in here if he goes ahead , it his life , he can do what he wants, it just some of us on here can see a lot of potential problems down the road that can affect him for the rest of his life . He is 26 , not 46.. he has his whole life ahead of him to deal with this .
The problem with lads around the 25 /26 year old mark , is that they think life ends at 30.. and it’s all about looking good now .. I totally understand , lots of people on this forum have been in that exact situation . But you only have a limited amount of donor , and once that is gone that is it . It needs to be used sparingly , strategically planned so you can enjoy the rest of your life with an illusion of a nice head of hair , not pumping 3-4000 grafts into a front 3rd to enjoy your late 20’s..

look I could be wrong , he might never lose another hair on his head, have the op , and enjoy his late 20’s and the rest of his life with a full head of hair , without any problems , and I would love that to happen . Fingers crossed for him. But some of us on here are worried about the problems that lay ahead for him, and are just giving him our opinion from life experience.,

I look forward to seeing what he decides and hope he continues to show us his journey . We are all here to help and support on another , that’s what this place is all about . 👍

  2. I agree with @Gatsby.. for 26 your hair loss is extremely aggressive and the fact that you arnt on any medication to halt your hair loss makes it extremely worrying for you to go ahead with a ht..

I know you want your hair back now , I know you will do whatever it takes but going ahead with a ht now , ( we’ve all been there ) will not stand you in good stead by the time you hit your 30’s .

please do not go ahead with the procedure . Wait at the very least untill you are 30.. with you not being on medication the odds are highly stacked that by the time you are 30 everything will be gone on top ... then all you will have is a hairline and nothing behind it .
obviously this is just my opinion but I implore you not to go ahead with this .
any clinic willing to operate on a 26 year old is completely unethical in my opinion , and the fact they are even willing to do it is extremely disappointing

if you do go ahead , please go for the highest hairline you can .

    all the best mate

  3. Blimey, i wont be cheering on those sheep shaggers, not after watching their players celebrate our loss....hodgson is a complete tool....inept.

Back to rooney...just listening to talksport, andy jacobs is trying to fathom how rooney looked like he had hair in the match, and then the next day was bald.

Lots of the papers have this story now, a dr has come out and said in the mirror, he is using concealer.

2 ht rooney has had now, its not going to happen for him is it.

Talksport are now having a vote to see if rooney should shave his head. 75 per cent in favour

  4. Everyone is talking bad about his transplant because he cut his hair short, the layering effect is gone. He has way more than 1000 grafts left, id say hes got about 2,500 grafts left plus bodyhair which hehas alot.

This was back in october when his hair was longer, the sides are high and dense, i doubt theyll drop and if so not anytime soon. All he needs is another 1,500 grafts to the midscalp for added density, and to grow it out a bit longer and itll look really good.

What kills rooney is his naturally thin hair, given his disadvantages he looks good, i dont think hell progress to a norwood 7 hes still a norwood 5 going on 6 his crown is still small, a norwood 6 has an expanded crown.

He is wearing concealer, its obvious.....he does for alot of games because he is under the camera. He has had 2 fue already....no surgeon will get another 2500 out of him. Even if the did its all minuterized hair, its dying hair.

  5. He made a poor decision in the clinic he chose, he obviously didnt do much research. He also had his op done way to early...24 or 25 wasnt it ?

Any ethical decent surgeon probably wouldnt operate on him now. He will be lucky if he even has 1000 grafts left. It would be pointless. Sadly for him, it looks as though he just isnt destined to have hair.

  6. I had 4500 grafts (well so they say) in one 8hr day. Im 13 weeks in, 20 perecent of the grafts still remain, so its just a case of waiting now to see if it was a sucess. I went to a turkish clinic, with my eyes wide open, knowing it was a risk.

I hadmy concerns, because i dont think my donor was capable. I do feel looking back that it was over harvestedBut its done. With such a large fue session, be prepared for the event that your donor may take time to heal. 3 months in, 75 percent of my donor is now fine, but still onthe right hand side there is ab extraction pattern still showing which im hoping will fade in the coming months.

Dr demirsoy has a good reputation, i consulted with him. He is usually very conservative with his graft extractions, so im very suprised he said he will do 4000 grafts from you....you must have very good donor for him to say that.

  7. Im 10 weeks into my ht from cosmedica. It is a no frills clinic. Its basic but as you say they do seem to hit the results from what ive read and seen.

As far as a technician clinic, a doctor does the extractions and the slits, and the techs do the implanting.

I had 4500 and then some because they stopped counting. I do feel that i was over harvested in certain areas as ten weeks in my donor does show an extraction pattern still, which im hoping is down to a bit of shock loss. My left hand side is looking good, but the right hand side is still a bit thin. It was the area that i felt the most pain and took the longest to heal so iam hoping in the next month or so it will thicken up.

I didplay it safe by having my hairline very high an conservative. Just concentrated on density.

So it is a risk going to these type of clinics, i went in with my eyes wide open. I had just basically had enough of using toppik on a bare scalp, had a certain amount of money, i was planning to travel for 4 months straight a after which im currently doing in australia and thailand. So i will just have to see how it goes.

The girls are lovely, and they all seem to know what they are doing. English is spoken very basically, which can be hard. As i say its a basic clinic which does what it says on the tin. If you get a good result, thats the main thing at the end of the day. Nothing else matters. Good luck

  8. Good for him. Because I have a friend from my university coming from the same city as Eriksen, and my friend said that some of his "friends" teased him about it when he was in Denmark a few years ago. Pretty stupid if true.

How did Eriksen react on your question? Did he get a bit embarrassed by it?

No he was fine, he is a very laid back person. It was just a little smirk, and he said yeah when i asked him about fue. It was just me andmy mate with him, i wouldnt of asked him infront of a group of people. Because i had met him a few times before and i was going to get it done i thought id mention it I dont actually think anyone atthe club has realised. His team mates are all young lads and none of them have taken the piss apparently.

He has definitely had crown work done aswell. His donor is very thick. But as i say, he is still in his early twenties, how he will look in ten years time, who knows ? Apparently he is signing a new contract soon, so will givevme chance to ask him where he went.
