  1. u better of sending email to shahid on the anove email address!
  2. Well when I say minutes it must have been like 10-15 minutes (though I was sedated on drugs) so could have been longer, but in the consultation the doctor said he can manage 1800-2200 graft's but actually managed 2475 grafts. I think it was a great result on the grafts side but once I post my pictures soon I shall let you all be the judge of his work, so far I am satisfied with the overall experience and result.
  3. I guess u trust your doctor's word! You do not really hav any other choice, if they lie about this purly for ???? $$$ to take more per graft then they would get caught somewhere down the line, most doctor's I am sure are honest!
  4. I guess as this is cosmetic surgery, most people opting for this have the money!!
  5. You are right there , I saved $$$$$$$$$$$$ by going to Dr Humayun in Pakistan and got a job done that would have cost $10000 in the Great US of A!! and I think a better job then what i would have got in USA also!! Dont ditch the doctor's in the third world the only reason they are cheap is because of cheaper overheads, not because of less quality, try them out u will be happy, trust me i did!!
  6. But I thought in early 2001 they said cloning hair was only a few years away?
  7. Irish1083, at the age of 26 and depending of the amount of hair you have lost needs to be reviewed, if you just started to loose hair then my advise would be to wait a few years for further loss so then you can have 1 major surgery which is more cost effective and will look better as you will not again loose hair rapidly and have the island effect's that I had, But on the other hand you have lost a lot of hair already and think that you wont loose a great deal more then plan your HT in stages allowing for further transplants, it is very unlikely that 1 Ht is every enough so plan it financially. If you want a good job but cheap and are willing to travel for 48 hours then I recommend Dr Humayun Mohmand in Islamabad Pakistan ( please do your own research on this forum and google as this is my personal recommendation as I had good surgery there)for about 3000 grafts you will end up paying approx 2000 Euro Inc flights and hotel etc, that about 0.66 Euro per graft!! I guess you can see the big difference, and they will arrange everything for you, I was in and out in 48 hrs, or less, I actually flew in at 8.30pm then next day surgery, then next morning flew back so really approx 40 hours, the experience was good and they have done many European customers, I flew from UK and must say that after my past 2 surgeries in UK, Dr Humayun was much better!!
  8. Well the add says that the FDA has clinically tested it and approved it for hair growth
  9. Well not saying that all doctor's not listed or screened here are bad , but you stand a better chance of getting better surgery from a Doctor listed as they have proved there work so cutting down the risk factor of bad surgery as you can talk to there past patients and see there final results and decide who you wish to use, If you use another doctor you will get about 30mins consultation, about 30 mins question answer and I do not think that you be lucky enough to see any of there past patient except picture that they show you ( you will not be even able to tell if they actually are that doctor patient) Good luck!
  10. I think he does do it, why dont you send him an email direct and ask him, I have an email address for his assistant Shahid it is shmughal@hotmail.com good luck!
  11. Dazed most people have surgeries at least 2 years apart, which in HT is a long time for advancements in technology, some doctors do not improve there methods while some keep up to date with latest technology. In my case it was a bit of dissatisfaction and UK has not kept up to date with advancement & technology and also high recommendation of the Doctor which carried out my surgery that I changed my surgeon for my last surgery. Doctors on this forum have been screened and there work proven by patients end results, so I felt alot more confident going for a HT this time then what I did 12 years back which at that time I had no idea what i was going into, the doctors them self were so new at this in the UK, and it was all about money, I felt that i was not a patient but just a ?????? sign for my doctor.
  12. From what I have researched on line the Hairmax Lasercomb is the only product that has been clinically trailed and approve by the US FDA board Below is there cutting from advert: FDA 510(K) Cleared for marketing for the Promotion of Hair Growth The battle against hair loss has two objectives: 1. Stopping hair loss 2. Promoting hair growth. This is a difficult task, but the Clinically Proven and Patented Technology of the HairMax LaserComb can help you meet the challenge. In fact, the HairMax LaserComb is so effective that it is the only medical laser device proven to work and FDA 510(K) Cleared for marketing for the promotion of hair growth.* This gives many hair loss sufferers, previously unable or unwilling to turn to drug-based solutions, newfound hope in their battle. Fortunately, treatments using the HairMax LaserComb are easy to administer, only 10 to 15 minutes three times per week, and the laser device is convenient to use in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Learn More at HairMax.com *Medical indications for use: The HairMax LaserComb is indicated to promote hair growth in males with androgenetic alopecia (male patern hair loss). No prescription needed.
  13. I think Doctor what I will do is try it but give the HT you did at least another 30 days before applying any external form of treatment etc, Doctor one more question it has been like 25 days now since the HT can I start using hairspray again to style the hair?
  14. PK Thanks, but actually I be happy with what ever hair I can get with a tranplant rarther then having no hair, If I did not do this last HT my hair was looking worst as I have lost alot of hair in past 12 years, so needed to fill in the patches of no hair at the front to achieve a good look on hairline and from front, I can live with no hair at back!
  15. Hi, I just had a HT about 1 month ago and Dr Humayun used stitches that had to be removed after 10 days, though I did not stay in Pakistan for this to be done my local Doctor's nurse back in UK had no problem removing them and the pain was minimal, just the odd tug where blood and hair were dry and stuck together, but overall not as bad as I assumed, was told that the dissolve stitches are not so strong and could give way, (that's what my nurse said anyway's)
  16. thanks new2thissite, that really what i was hoping to hear coz before investing ??300 on this , i wanted to make sure it works thanks
  17. have added pre operaton pictures now on my profile please check them out!
  18. Do you have a list of recommended doctors that have preformed well in the past but NOT part of the Coalition, it is only fair that they are also listed on this site as recommended doctors but as a non paying member of the Coalition
  19. So does that mean that the patients are paying high price's for the doctors that are recommended in the Coalition? so this forum is promoting those doctors as they pay fee's towards being in the coalition? I think that Coalition or Non-Coalition Doctors should only be judged by there end results, patient reviews etc it does not make the superior or better doctor's just because they are part of the Coalition. Please note this is only my opinion I could be wrong if so please correct me
