1. Propaganda??

I have been reading the other website and I am quite amazed what is taken place. As I have said in the past I put much more merit in a patients posting rather than a doctor or a sales rep. What I am seeing (my opinion) is a advertisers reps posting and trying to sell the sizzle. In business we all say that you should sell the sizzle and not the steak, this is what is happening here in my opinion. The steak is the final outcome of the hair transplant and the sizzle is all the other componants around it. I have not seen ONE patients post good after pictures yet. I am not saying that it will never happen but caution everyone about being too excited. My opinion to everyone is to be careful and wait until you see a few good results from a patient that posted himself.

Right after this the rep posted this.

quote:
This is the kind of emails we receive from our patients daily

We will soon make an announcement of how DHI is goind to deal with this situation.

    "Hello Mr.giotis,

I think this industry needs to be back in the days of the animals. I can't believe what I am reading on the forum is a real disgrace in medical profession. I have not seen any Dr. behaving like the way these doctors are on the forum It sound like that someone has taken their favorite toy and now they are all throughing terrible two tantrums.

You need to pull your team together and find a solution for this otherwise they will not stop. At every point they will try to degrade your success. Can you do something by taking legal action?? The fact that DHI has not said anything publicaly will be in your defense. Talk to your lawyer.. Show him all the post that has been made by these Dr. We are not talking about a patient but a well educated Doctrs doing this. Dr. Zontos is a excellent sugeon and they are trying to ruin his reputation. This is too much!!! I would seriously consider legal advice

This is the kind of emails they recieve daily?? Does he really think that we are that stupid? All I will is please be careful.

  3. Nards; If I were you I would never go back to that doctor again. Any doctor that gives you a big scar in the first place is usually not capable of revising it the second time. Many of them try but end up screwing them even more. How big is your scar and where do you live? Could you post some pictures?

  4. Nards; Who did your scar revision?? Most of the time it is a bad idea to go back to the same doctor that caused the bad scar to give you a revision. Many people have been through the same and ended up with a bigger scar after the revision.

  5. I am a huge soccer fan and watched Zindane play yesterday. My first thought was what he would look like with a transplant (disgusting huh). The point is once the world has seen you without hair, having a transplant is pointless.

Another celebrity that recieved a transplant was Joseph Tillman. I must say that his transplant is probaly the best transplant that I have seen on a famous person. icon_wink.gif

  6. I want to start off by saying that I wish Lee the best and hope he will get the best results. I feel that the word "World Record" is a very dangerous word. I feel that the importance of number of grafts is less important than final results. I feel if other doctors try to break the record they may overlook the important of the final results just for the marketing of it.

Has anyone seen a final result of a FUE session with DHI with 2000 grafts or more? If so please point it out to me.

Lee remarks from a different website

quote:
Dr. Zontos commented that I was a tough case to break the record on as a norwood 7 since he had to be very careful about selecting the grafts for extraction so as not to deplete my limited donor area

Break the record? Hair transplant are not about breaking records, this in my opinion is a marketing thing.

I will admit that DHI fue extraction picture that they have posted have looked very impressive but the three DHI people that I met in person the final results were far below average. One patient from Italy that I have been talking to for 3 months told me that Alessia (DHI Italian customer service) even went as far as offering him 1500 free when he told her that he was going to Vancouver to get repaired and touched up.

My point is to believe patients first and sale reps last, no company will ever talk about the negative. Again I wish Lee the best and I hope that his final results will be amazing so that I can shut my mouth.

  7. I ran into a friend a couple of days ago that I haven't seen in a couple of years. Once you hit 30 usually meeting someone after a few years you expect to see them with less hair and more weight.

I commented much hair he still had and he told me that he was considering a transplant. I played stupid (he didn't know I had one) and asked him where he was going to go, how much and what he expected to get done. Right away he said Bolsey, he wasn't sure how much and and he wanted to square his hairline.

I started laughing and explained to him that I had a transplant done. I mentioned FUE, and strip. I started mentioning doctors good ones and bad ones from different cities around the world and what to expect. He looked at me like a freak and couldn't understand how I knew so much about it.

As I was saying this I thought to myself this guy probaly doesn't know what I am talking about.

At the end I talked him out of a transplant and he was going to get a preciption of Proscar and see what happens from there. He and his girlfriend are going to Australia in 6 months so he will probaly book a consultation with Dr. Woods, who knows.

Thank god he ran into me before he went to see Bosley, its good to be educated...... icon_wink.gif

  9. I disagree. Arnold was in the gym the day after taking his staples, he lifts heavy weight and his scar did not stretch. I also was in the gym one week after my staples were out (I don't do heavy weights) and my didn't stretch either. I know everyone is different.

Matthew I know that you had one session and a scar revision, and are going in for one more session. Why couldn't you wait until your second session then recieved a scar revision if neccessary? I believe a scar revision is best for a patient when they have no more procedures (maybe I am wrong).

  10.
quote:
These Doctors will never have to be accountable and no Doctor will ever give you the money back as someone in a previous post suggested to me.

You might be correct Donna but going back to a doctor after you weren't happy the first time is very unwise in my opinion. " Bite you once shame on him, bite you twice shame on you".

There are ways of getting your money back from a doctor especially one that gets alot of business from the internet. I would write a letter to your doctor along with pictures explaining to him why you aren't happy. If he agrees to meet with you address your problems and see what the doctor says. If you aren't happy with his responses then you should research what the doctor said and see if the doctor is correct and if hes only trying to save his own ass then send another letter. This letter again should give me an explanation why you aren't happy and what you came up with by researching that differs from what he said. Demand all your money back and give him a date send you a cheque or you will post all your pictures and explanation on the internet to save any future patients the pain that you suffered.

I know this is severe but so is the emotions distress that we suffer from before a transplant and after a bad transplant.

  11. Viethair; The hair industry is one of the few industry that the more expensive the HT the worst it is, in most cases. These big companies have a huge advertising budget and I believe that they have to pay huge money in insurance. You should never pay more than $5 a graft for FU and some of the world best will charge you $4.50 for the first 1500 and $2.5 after that.

Don't hesitate to flight to go visit a good doctor because you may be saving yourself a life time of problems compared to a few hours travel time. Good luck and be thankful that you are researching before you make a decision.

  12. Donna; Sorry to hear what happened to you. If I was in your shoes I would ask Dr. Jones for your money back. If he refused I would post all picture of hairline and donor scar so that all people can be warned. I would never go back to any doctor that was not happy with.

Just because Dr. Jones offers FUE doesn't make him a good doctor. Remember that before he offered FUE he only did strip and no one knew who he was. After seeing some of his picture on his website he was never a good hair transplant doctor to start with.

    Good luck

  13. parable; Good for you. I agree 100% that if a doctor screwed you up they should give you your money back so that you can go to another doctor. I have seen too many sad stories of patients going back to there doctor after having a bad transplant and looks worst.Doctors must be held accountable to their mistakes.

For the doctors that are reading this understand that if Dr. White would have just apologized and given him his money back maybe this would have never gone to the public. Now who really wants to go get a transplant with Dr. White??

    Good luck Parable....
