  1. Hi all, well after much consideration, I've decided to hold off on the HT due to the small amount of grafts.. and I"m trying to get back on to Rogaine and Proscar. My question is I already have minaturized hair follicles in my front hairline. AND I"m aware of the shedding process 2 weeks mark from using Rogaine. Will the minaturized hair's fall out BUT regrow again? That's my greatest concern cause as of now, I have very very few hairs covering my front hairline. Also, does anyone know of a cheap place to order proscar that delivers to the US? Or, could you buy it in your local pharmacy? Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance

  3. .. I knew most would disagree with an HT given my age.. I've thought about FUE for a bit buts its money that I just dont have...Mohair4me, hairbgoin or anyone, could you fill me in on the cons of getting strip for a small amount of grafts? Assuming that my existing hairline does recede further back? I realize i'll get a line in the back of my head which may become noticable if i wear my hair short.. but anything else? Thanks in advance
  4. Does anyone know whatever happened to Belgiumdude? He's the only one I can think of in the same situation as me in terms of age and what he wants...Thanks Rugger and everyone else, I'm aware that I might further recede in the future but if that was the case, I'm willing for a 2nd ht. My main concern now is if there would be scarring in the donor area as one of you mentioned and if its worth it for such a small ht. I managed to take some pictures of my hairline, and the new hairline that Dr. Feller drew with a marker where he estimated it would take 600-800 grafts to fill in. I have to mention that I'm asian being that asian hairlines are shaped differently. Pictures can be found at http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/losinghair2003/album?.dir=/9976&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/losinghair2003 Sorry about the awkward cuts, I am trying to still stay anonymous being that I"m not comfortable with this at all at the age of 20...Does it look promising? Does it look natural? If you can make anything out of it, please comment Any help appreciated, Thanks in advance
  5. Well I should've been more specific, I'm 20. I was born with a very high hairline and have unfortunately already begun to experience hairloss. It's not massive hairloss but its the least of my worries at my age, especially cause I already have a high hairline. I've been on rogaine 5%, shou wu pian and proscar for about a year now. The hairloss is a concern of mine but right now, I'm only wishing to focus on lowering my front hairline. And when is a hair transplant really necessary? Isn't it just a matter of how comfortable you are with yourself? Arfy's comment on using the donor supply efficiently with large sessions is giving me second thoughts though. Wish I could just be comfortable with my hair, with what I have, but I"m just not..
  6. I thought I needed more grafts as well but Dr. Feller stated that I would only need 800 grafts to create a new frontal hairline for myself. He said he doesn't want to work too far into my existing front hairline being that I still might thin later on in life and in order to avoid shock loss. I've alredy stated I wanted it as dense as possible, but he said 600-800 will suffice and I really dont know how I'm supposed to argue being that I'm not a surgeon and all.. My main concern is density and how natural it looks, do you think 800 grafts can accomplish that? Thanks in advance
  7. Is this a good price guys? I've just had a consultation with Dr. Feller and he gave me a price for 3850 for work on my frontal hairline. Is this kind of steep or is it just me?

  9. As some of you would know from this recently, I'm deciding on getting a HT done in mid April and these are the two doctors that I'm considering. Does anyone on this board have ANY experience with either of the two doctors? And if so, do you have before and after pictures of your hair transplant? Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance, appreciate it a lot

  15. its just that I've gotten surgery done, where they only gave me injections to numb the nerves, I was still awake during the whole procedure but even after the shots, I felt so much pain, during disecting... So my question is there really is no pain AT ALL when he's planting in the hair follicles?
  16. Mainly for those who have already gotten an HT done. Is there any pain? I'm very sensitive to pain..moreso to the rest because I'm always anticipating it. When do you feel pain during a hair transplant? Is there any when plugging/disecting hair follicles? Are you awake when you get an HT done? Thanks in advance.. much appreciated.

  18. If hair transplants are so popular now, if people get such good results from getting them done, how come we don't see actors getting them done? Just curious cause I see guys like Bill Murray, Bruce Willis with a recedding hairline and I'm SURE they have enough money to afford a hair transplant so what's stopping them?

  20. Hi Belgium dude, You sound like your in the same situation as me, although I'm a bit younger, 20 to be exact. photos.yahoo.com/losinghair2003 My hairloss is minimal but starting already at this young of a age plus i have a very high hairline. So this HT would be moreso to create a new lower hairline. How much do you think your HT will cost and where is Dr. Alvin located? If you could get back to me, that would be great. Thanks in advance
  21. hey UkGeezer, propecia helps stop hairloss, i've been taking it for about 10 months now and its done nothing really for my hair in terms of growing it back, it just stopped hairloss, MAINLY in my temple areas.
  22. .. anyone know any good hair transplant doctors in the NJ/Ny area?
  23. if you look back at my other posts.. i've tried a bunch of stuff, from chinese herbals, proscar, rogaine, none of it really does anything for my front hairline, it helps my temples a bit, but my hairline has been receeding ever since. And since i have a high hairline to begin with, i look even worse. I don't mind follow-ups but in general.. this transplant would be to give me a lower hairline, something that i've always had to live with.. so anyone know any good transplant doctors in the NJ/NY area?
  24. I'm thinking about getting a hair transplant for my front hairline, I've been losing hair, plus i have a high hairline. I'm only 20 though. I'm not trying to not just regrow my front hairline but i also want to transplant more hair for a new lower hairline. What do you guys think?
