  1. Oxyhair, your post is typical of a young nieve man. I feel bad for you bud, but just beacause you get doesnt necessarily mean it's easier to come to grips with hair loss. If you get a HT now, in 10 years if you becaome a NW7 you will look rediculous with an Island of hair on top and I gaurantee you will be far more self concious about that. You have 2 things going for you right now. 1, shaving the head is the in thing, and 2, you are very young and hopefully there are some great advancements coming in the world of hairloss. But you dont want to have to hold on to hope.
  2. You seem to have a nicely shaped head. Are you sure you want to go thru with HT surgery? Once you start there is no turning back!
  3. I disagree! HT's are done using blades and needles and can cause shock loss. Also it looks as if they causing trauma to the scalp to apply the PRP and trauma to the scalp can also cause shock loss
  4. OHHH! Dr Jones is doing it! JK. Ive seen the video but they show him the next day. Shock loss can happen days or weeks later too!
  5. I wonder if this treatment causes temporary or even permanant shockloss! LMS I find it very exciting to bro!!! You are not alone. Hope it really works though.
  6. It is in hairloss questions and answers!
  7. have you looked in other places on the forum? Sometimes Bill moves threads to keep the site in order.
  8. Stamo's I never said wellbutrin was an SSRI. I was replying back to your comment of SSRI's not causing hairloss.
  9. Sounds about right. Some charge a little less and some charge a little more. I assume you are qouting H&W's prices. Correct???
  10. Is this guy Ben Stien? LOL... He's way to rough on the grafts.
  11. Thats a joke right? Thats rediculous... Show some pics
  12. To answer your questions.... 1: Yes, Propecia 2: If you dont mind going bald I would say no to this question. Also we cant suggest anything with out pics. 3: I think the closest one to you would be Dr. Mohmand or Dr. Pathomvanich. I would personally go with Dr. Pathomvanich 1st
  13. These are 2 of the top 5 doctors in alot of people's opinions. They always say dont make travel or finance an obstacle when considering a HT, but with these 2 it may only come down to that for you. Great choices!!
  14. Here is a partial list of adverse reactions attributable to SSRI medications: Insomnia Vivid and violent dreams Inability to detect dreams from reality (The world takes on an other-worldly aspect) No emotions Inability to feel guilt or cry Nausea Loss of appetite Rash; Breathing or lung problems Heart fluttering Shaking - jitteriness Memory impairment Hair loss Blurred vision or pressure behind the eyes Inability to discontinue use of drug and increasing own dose Cravings for alcohol, sweets, and other substances or drinking large sums of alcohol, coffee or other caffeinated drinks, diet pop with NutraSweet, etc. Headaches Swelling and/or pain in joints Burning or tingling in extremities Muscle twitching or contractions Tongue numbness and slurred speech Sweating Dizziness Confusion Chills or cold sweats Muscle weakness Extreme fatigue Diabetes or hypoglycemia Lowered immune system Seizures or convulsions Weight gain or weight loss Mood swings Altered personality Symptoms of mania, ie., inability to sit still or restlessness, racing thoughts, acting silly or giddy (like a teenager again) Deceitfulness Blank staring Inability to see any alternatives in situations Hyperactivity
  15. http://www.medications.com/se/wellbutrin/hair-loss Read this if you dont think ssri's cause hairloss. I believe you would have to look at each medication seperatley to come to any conclusion
  16. Have you seen a patient in person? Ive never heard of this doc so I cant give you advise either way but I would caution you to atleast meet a patient or 2 of his before at the very least. There are very few doc's in the world who can perform FUE successfully.
  17. Wellbutrin can be considered an anti-depressant and can cause hairloss
  18. congratulations Eman! Looking good and it's pretty clear you are very excited about your new mop as you should be. Imagine you still have 5-7 months of growth and maturation.
  19. You seem to be right on schedule!
  20. Didnt Dr. Jones come up with the bogus scar revision technique that seemed to good to be true. I forget what it was called. Dr. Rahal by a landslide!!
  21. kanounis, You took the words right out of my mouth! You are spot on. Coverage will be good but htlhr will definatly need a 2nd procedure to achieve some density. htlhr, It appears you need alot more than 1970 grafts. Maybe even 5000 was needed. The good thing though is that the work looks clean and hopefully the grafts will all grow out and give you a good start. Next time I would look into Rahal, H&W, Konior, Feller, SMG, or Alexander among others to fill in the void.
  22. The reason this topic interested me more than others is because there is no one in my family "both sides" that is experiencing as much or more hairloss than I am no matter the age. I did a little digging and found that the medication Im taking causes hairloss. So Im HOPING that this is the main cause.... Although Im not holding my breath.
  23. LOL.... Funny commercial! Dr. Larry Shapiro's wont get to much support here! Love the whole "jingle" thing though.
  24. I agree with Zup! In 20 years you would not be so grateful to a surgeon that was so aggresive with your hairline that you have very little donor left to cover the rest of the balding head. In a very young patient the best approach should be a conservative approach. Now thats not to say that I think that SMG is conservative but I think that they more than most have the patients future in mind.
