  1. Hello everyone! It's been quite some time since i have posted! I've been EXTREMELY busy with work and many other things. It's been a little over 13 months and everything is going great. I am to now going to start growing my hair out as i have kept it short for the past year. I will start to post pictures 1 month from today to show the progress of my growth, i assure you it's night and day, i actually have hair! Thanks again to Dr. Ron and team, i will be contacting Matt soon to talk about a second procedure (yes i'm greedy) in the next few months!
  2. It's really up to the individual, each persons situation will be different, it was very easy for me, my close friends all knew as i confided in them and they all supported me 110%. Although it did take me around a month to feel comfortable again, i am currently 4 months and 2 weeks post-op (i know i need to post pics) and this is the time i have received the most questions and looks as my hair is growing like crazy.. So if someone says something it usually is in the form of a compliment! And i am a very positive person so i just try not to worry to much about it.. Hope this helped a little
  3. Jim, I understand your frustration, i talk to and help people in tough situation in reagrds to seeking employment in a field that they will LOVE. My advice choose a job you love and if you cannot find one, look into going back to school, it's a great time to do that for many! In regards to your hair and a HT, TAKE YOUR TIME! Research and then research more, if it takes you 1-2 years thats ok! Best of luck!
  4. "I agree, even in the unlikely event you lost any hair as a result of wearing a hat - I'd highly doubt this loss would be permanent except in cases of traction alopecia." Maxxy This ^^^^^^
  5. Great choice on with the Doc and clinic. Matt is a great person and will not push you in the wrong direction!
  6. Hi John! My advice, take deep breath and relax, i am at 4 month post-op and starting to grow like crazy, but nowhere near where i will be at 18 months, everything will turn out great for you just relax and try not to stress and worry about it, honestly i really haven't even given my HT much thought until recently when i started to notice more and more growth at 3.5 months and i'm still not really looking to much into it. We are all here to support you! And Kaounis, i pocket dialed you yesterday on accident! Sorry about that and how are you doing my friend?
  7. Hi everyone been gone for awhile, had quite a bit going on, all is well at the 3 month mark, just taking proscar and using rogaine foam and relaxin! I actually can say i have not stressed one bit in regards to my transplant it's not a sprint it's a marathon! that being said i will start posting pics at the 4 month mark and every month after! I have been keeping my hair pretty short and it is almost impossible to bee my scar with a number 2 cut.. i am going to just let it grow at the 4 month mark and go from there! any questions feel free to reach out to me! thanks
  8. You made a great choice with SMG (Dr. Ron 4800 graphs), i am 3 momths post-op, my pics were posted by Janna pre and post-op, been keeping my hair short and not worrying about it, taking my Proscar and using rogaine foam! I will start posting pics at the 4 month mark and every month after.. Great Doc, great team there!
  9. Waited 5 weeks, then started cross-fit, scar was not tender but it did itch like crazy which i ignored!
  10. All is going well at the 1 month mark, shedding etc.. no major issues at all as far as ithcing dry scalp or pimples etc.. i keep my hair pretty short right now so no one has really noticed lately at all they can kinda see the scar but really don't comment on it! 6-18 month mark here we come! Hey i have been only using Rogaine 1 time a day is there an issue with that? if so i will bump it up!
  11. Shedding slowly but surely at 4 weeks.. i keep my hair very short so its hard to even tell a difference from before the transplant right now.. but at the 6-18 month mark.. grow baby grow!
  12. Hi everyone, Sutures are being removed today! Other than that all is going well, little dry scalp and tiny scabs are all coming off. I will start to post pics and updates shortly..
  13. Hi everyone, feeling good actually got to take a nice shower today and gently massage the area with my finger tips and quite a few of the little (all scabs are very small)scabs came off nice and easy! No hairs came out which is great LOL. Off all the meds, take a few advil here and there which helps the donor area. But overall pretty good a little tight in the donor area and it gets a little uncomfortable sometimes but it is tolerable without meds, just keeping my mind busy and it keeps it off of donor. Quick question, is it an issue since i am off all the meds if i have 2-3 beers today, it is the 4th!
  14. Vince hair, Dr. Shapiro had pics taken throughout the entire procedure donor removal and everything, i am kinda waiting to post those and see if it will be alright with Janna and Matt and the Doc (i don't have them yet) but i agree it's important for people to fully understand the entire procedure! It's an envasive surgery when done by a top doc all (99%) of the time will be great!
