  1. I just came across this topic, and I think its a very important one. I had the same concerns about 1.5 yrs ago. I started Avodart after 6 yrs of proscar with adequate results. Two months into avodart I noticed a huge change in sperm concentration. Ejaculate volume was the same, it just seemed way too watery. I asked the doc about it and he failed to give me an answer I was satisfied with. He told me I should be fine and if I was that concerned I should have a sperm test. Never had the test and quit the drug that day. It took close to a year but everything went back to the way it was pre-avodart. I know this may not have been the answer you were looking for...just thought I would share my experience. I hope you have better luck than I did. The drug just kind of scared the shit out of me.
  2. I used proscar for 6 yrs with pretty good results. One HT doctor convinced me to try Avodart. Horrible mistake. After 2 months I had huge side effects. I went right back to proscar and stopped Avodart completely. 1 yr later the sides finally went away. Not saying this would happen to everyone but it was just my experience. If you decide to go for it I wish you better luck than I had.
  3. I was never actually given a density value. I was just told it was below average by a couple of docs. I think it will improve a little over the next few months, but I know I will never get to a #2 or #3 guard.
  4. Chops. I think this is a difficult question to answer. In my experience I am having a hard time disguising it. With a #5 clip it is a little bit noticeable and very noticeable when wet. I am only 4 months post op so redness is also a factor. I think the key to this all comes down to donor density. Mine is below average so therefore the more visible scar. I think anybody with average density could defineately get down to a #3 or #4 and possibly a #2.
  5. Good luck to you Apollo. More importantly are the months that follow the HT that are the worst. Prepare yourself with things to do around the house etc. I am approaching 3 months post op and am just getting back into the swing of things. The first 3 months feel like a year.
  6. I think this is a great result. In my opinion no more work is needed. If another session is what you want then go for it. Either way looking good and good luck to you.
  7. Wantego. Looking good! I think the short cut definately works for you. Sorry to hear about the shed.
  8. Congrats! I am 10 weeks post op with Rahal myself. By the sounds of things everything went well. Get some rest. For me the best day was when the stitches came out. The first couple of months can be frustratiing appearance wise, but we are all in this for the long run. Take care.
  9. Wow! A huge difference from your last set of pics. A definite hairline for sure. The buzzed look definitely works for you aswell. The scar can be faintly made out but remember we all look for it and it will fade even more. All and all, some huge improvements. You must be estatic! Congrats
  10. Looking good wantego! I know you want it to thicken up more, but from here it looks very thick and very natural. Congrats again.
  11. Growmehair I am two months post op with Rahal. I found the stitch removal pain free. I actually couldn't wait to get them out. Hopefully you don't get the insane itching that I got for the weeks that followed. Anyways good luck and I wouldn't worry about the pain.
  12. Mochi I am also at 8 weeks now. I went to a #6 3 days ago with success. Still a dead giveaway with wet hair. I still have some shockloss but it seems to be coming back. I probably won't try any lower for a few more weeks as I prefer to be on the safe side. I think Eman is right when he says it mostly depends on hair characteristics. I have not so thick hair which makes the redness harder to conceal.
  13. Great Topic! Can anyone tell me if hairs start to grow immediately through the scar with tricho? Or is there a waiting period involved like that with new transplanted hair? Thanks.
  14. Simonsez. I can relate to your concerns. I am almost 8 weeks post op and had a hard time concealing the scar. I believe shock loss is what your experiencing. Now at 8 weeks it is getting easier for me to conceal. Until week 6 my donor area was looking horrible but it is now starting to improve. I feel in another month this issue will be behind me for the most part. PM me if you want to see some pics.
