  1. Hey everyone! I am back! I am a little over 2 months post op and things are much better. All my scabs have fallen off. I think they all fell after about a month. I am back to resuming regular activities. I am taking propecia everyday but am not using Rogaine for "reasons". I am not sure how much of a difference that would have/will make? The donor area is still sensitive and sometimes itchy but ok for the most part. The recipient area also is itchy from time to time. Fortunately i don't seem to have had much shock loss in the recipient area. So it is back to normal. 10 more months to go! Should be posting some pics shortly.

  3. Uh Oh! Now i am really worried...i will contact Dr. Rahal about this. No i don't have any pimples...should i be expecting them? Oh no...I tempted to rub off al the scabs!
  4. Hey Bill, Dr. Rahal's instructions mentioned not to touch the scabs for a month and i can "resume" normal activities after one month. Most of the scabs in the front have fallen but there are still many towards the end. I have not been rubbing them to hardly when i shower. At some sites its slightly painful which i take as a sign not to rub hardly? Wantego, Thanks! your so nice to me I can't see your weblog....did you remove it?
  5. Hello everyone, I will be 5 weeks post op this Tuesday. Everything seems to be going ok...I started loosing some scabs at week 4. Most of the scabs are still there and am kinda happy because they blend in with my hair...don't make me look as bald. I am not using Rogaine as i can't afford it at the moment but am taking Propecia. Does Rogaine really make a big difference? What if i start later? or is it a case of use it now or never.... I thought the scabs would fall off 2-3 weeks after but they are still here! Also i guess now the waiting game begins...I think 3-4 months is when i will see some growth.

  7. Hey guys! Thanks i feel better now...I dunno it just came out of the blue for me. So now what? Scabs come off...wait for a year and thats it? I can't wait! I am gonna look so sexy with my new full head of hair
  8. Hey guys! Ok here is the thing i am not in Canada anymore...I am in Europe. Here they don't have the same brand of Vitamin E but have Bio oil which has other stuff including Vitamin E which i didn't know if i should use? Thats the reason i haven't applied anything, otherwise if i was in Canada i would! Regarding these scabs, mine haven't fallen off yet and i am a little over 2 weeks. After two weeks i did become a little careless and brush against them gently a few times...don't think that would be a problem? I am brushing my hair forward to cover the recepient area. I AM HAPPY YAHOO! finally i don't have to put that greasy stuff on my head or hide under a surgical cap Feeling more normal now. Although i wonder how i will feel after the scabs fall off and expose my skin (making me look balder). Right now they kinda blend in. Thanks for all the nice comments guys
  9. I have rin out of the Vitamin E solution at 2 weeks so for the past days i haven't put any Vitamin E on the recipient site. Is this bad for me? nothing seems to be falling off I got the stitches removed which was not very comfortable! but wasn't as bad as i expected, Additionally did you have to take a blood test? for HIV and Hepatitis?

  11. Canadian buba what was it like!!!?? tell me I am getting them removed tomorrow. I wish i had stayed in Ottawa and followed up with Dr. Rahal ... then i wouldn't worry. But anyways that Danny guy scared me 10 minutes of pain... Thats a lot longer than i expected! Anyways just curious why is Dr. Rahal so conservative? I would imagine most people wanna get rid of those things! in 2 weeks...I mean they are secure so why not?
  12. Hey guys, I will be 2 weeks post op on Tuesday. I am actually dreading the stitches removal. The areas with them are quite sensitive. Is it best to take pain killers before i go? I started developing valleys after a week. Nothing has fallen out yet. Maybe in the next few days? So far i guess its ok since i am used to it now. I keep thinking i screwed up with my head bunking and accidently brushing my grafts against the pillow/hands while sleeping. I just wanted the best result!

  14. Hey everyone! Thanks for all the nice messages i recieved. I am now 1 week post op and have started developing valleys. Few things i might have done differently... Maybe gotten my hair cut/shortened. My hair is long now, I haven't cut it for about 2 months now. Applying Vitamin E and shampoo is such a hassle! The hair keep covering recipient area and i have to be very careful as to how i take them off. I am very tempted to use the machine and buzz the hair off but am too scared about affecting recipient area. The hair is a mess and sticky from the Vitamin E cream...ahhh.... Taken time off for a few weeks. I have to wear the surgical cap everyday while going to school. People (especially immature students) stare. I just wanna scream out that this is not a fashion statement or religious wear I HAD SURGERY! My donor area has started to become more senstive now and i will keep an eye on that. But overall not too bad...it is manageable if i had pre planned it more
