It has been a very long time since I have posted here, but I have recently started thinking of doing another procedure and Feller is within an hour driving distance of me. But after reading his outrageous, egotistical, and uncalled for attacks on the poster Jesse, I will NOT be going to Feller in this lifetime, I don't care how many fluffers are out there pushing his so called genius. shame on this forum for allowing this egomaniac to continue on with his self-righteous rants and threatening patients and accusing them of attempted extortion. This man spent 12k!!! and he should be thankful he didn't get butchered??!! this whole thread is outrageous, what a joke.

Smoothy, not sure of the technique you are referring to. Don't all the HT docs in the coalition do ultra refined FU's? Are you referring to lateral slit technique?

DJDennis, I just saw your "before" pic on your weblog. WOW. at only 4.5 half months that is alot of growth. perfect hairline placement too. it is a homerun by Dr. Epstein I would say.... you must be happy.

For some reason, this part of the procedure was not explained to me either, so when my heart rate jumped on the monitor I thought something bad was happening with my heart which made me panic, which increased my heart rate more. I was scared so they decided not to use the epinephrine on the top of my scalp to curb the bleeding. The techs seemed to be able to deal with it though... glad you mentioned this because I went through the same thing.

it would be interesting to see a pic of NYC before his hairloss, to see how his hair "behaved" at the hairline. did you style it the way you are styling it post-HT? your hair seems course and has a wave to it

Mrkneed, the only doctor in the Northeast that requires shaving, that I am aware of, is Dr. Feller.

Congrats GM on your procedure with Dr. E. your blog and photos look great. can you tell me how many grafts Dr. E placed in your crown and how many in the front? thanks for your response and good growing to you. It will be at least 3 mos before you start to see some sprouts and at least 6 mos before serious growth starts to kick in, from my experience.

congrats Wingnut.you have had a lot of grafts. good growing to you. you certainly have had alot of grafts. how did your procedure with De Yarman go? did you get a good growth rate? I know what you mean about the propecia. I used to pay $120 a few years ago for a 90 day supply. now it is over $180. I am not a member of costco but I will definitely consider one knowing you can get finasteride so cheaply there. thanks for the heads up, no pun intended...

teach, the best way to start is to click on the "Find a Surgeon" tab at the top of the page and do a search for NY on the map. you can get most of your info about each doc with links to their web sites to see before and after pics. True is good, so is Epstein (NY/Miami), Feller, Bernstein just to name a few in the NY area.

aaron, if your credit limit is $500.00 than I don't see how you can finance your HT right now, unless you have 10k saved up.

aaron1234, other than trying another financing company such as Chase, your only alternative is to put it on a credit card if you don't have the cash. I have been in contact with Dr. Alexander for my second procedure. He charges $4.00/graft and he uses Chase Health Advance which is interest free loan for 2 years.

Bruceman, I find your attacks on Dr. Epstein uncalled for. Dr Epstein is a respected member of this coalition and an excellent surgeon with proven results. his website is one of the most extensive of any HT doctor's out there with page after page of before and after photos as well as videos. Dewayne is correct to suggest that many coalition doctors either don't feel the need or don't have the time to post here constantly, but that is not to say they are not good surgeons. So to say that Dr. Epstein is "jealous" of Dr. Feller because he has no results to show for himself is laughable. I don't think any doctor on here should be "steamrolling" over anyone as you have stated. In fact,Bill has correctly asked Dr. Feller in this thread to calm his aggressive attitude toward Dr. Epstein and staff.

TTDS, who is this hair stylist of yours that makes lace hair pieces for the crown? sounds like a great stylist. personal question, does it stay on in all types of weather, swimming etc? would like to find out about this...

Dakota3, It was Dorin who had several HT's by True. Also, add Feller and Cooley to the list. both have had a great job done on them. dont you wish they'd give it up as to who did THEIR procedures?

The techs that worked on me at Dr. Epstein's office were not talking but quietly concentrating on placing my grafts. Dr. Epstein's lead tech is excellent, very professional and very knowledgeable. Not sure if KevKristy implied they were talking while cutting grafts or placing them. My surgery room did not have microscopes so I cannot say for sure if they were talking or not. Just glad that most, if not all, of them grew...!
