  1. Robertt, I'm glad that you haven't been frightened by the prospect of strip surgery, as it can, in the right hands, be relatively benign. Your reasons appear to be well thought out and I congratulate you for that. GOOD LUCK ! Jim
  2. Hi Robertt, I don't know why Dr.Woods isn't recommended here. I'm curious though, if you don't mind. Why are you considering traveling to Dr.Woods? Jim
  3. Hi All, My apology in advance as I know that this isn't a political forum, but I can't resist. I just got done watching Tony Snow of Fox News interview Michigan Senator Carl Levin. Levin's mission, as a Democrat, was to simply trash the president. Here I am watching and listening and my overiding thought is how absolutely hideous Levin's "combover" is. How can anyone trust a man who thinks he can get away with something so obvious. It seems to me that all Tony had to do was mention the hair, and Carl would have withered up and blown away. I see this as another missed opportunity for my side.

  5. Of course, if anyone else can help me on this rather basic question, please feel free. Thanks.
  6. I'm going to second Noreaster's advice. It is sound. Propecia didn't exist when I was your age. If it had, I would have gone for it.
  7. Hi Victor, You're not alone in feeling scared and somewhat overwhelmed. I started loosing my hair at the age of 19 years and the experience was crushing at the time. I've put together some photos of my history in the Post Your Own Photos section. Maybe it would help to know that you're not alone. As far as deciding on a HT, I would begin by doing a search on Bosely. You'll find most, if not all of the posts very negative. Most importantly in my opinion, if you decide on a transplant, choose someone with a vison of how you will look as you age. The last thing that you want is to be "front loaded" now and looking unnatural in your later years. Good Luck. Jim
  8. Hi Miker, Thanks for your post. I'm just shy of 7 weeks post op and it is welcoming to hear such positive news. I have a question for you. I have also had some small pimples (ingrown hairs). As I have previously posted, the ones that look somewhat inflammed I've dealt with using Bactroban ointment and it has workded like a charm. A couple of others just appear as hard and crusted bumps. Those I haven't been able to do anything with. Did your bumps that were similar to this just clear up on their own or did you actually do something? Thanks. Jim
  9. Hi All, I've also had ingrown hairs. I've been using the BACTROBAN ointment that was given to me by Dr.Wong for the donor area. I was told that the little inflammations occur because dirt and bacteria can find their way into the graft incisions. It works like a charm. After a day or two, the areas are back to normal. Jim Mark, Yeah, college life in the 60s could be a little taxing !
  10. I'm 5 1/2weeks post op and, I don't think that this is my imagination, appear to be getting some new growth. In certain areas, like along the hairline, it can actually be seen with the naked eye! Has anyone had a similar experence or am I hallucinating? 12. Hi Vocor, That is fabulous! I'm very happy for you. Have a wonderful Holiday Season and enjoy the journey. Jim
  13. HarryLemon, Not at all my friend, I don't feel targeted. My point is, and I think you understand, that I respect the ability of "My Fellow Hair Transplant Man" to make his or her own decisions and relate their experiences undeterred. If your happy and you want to let the world know, go for it, even if that involves making a recommenation because of the sheer joy of the experience. The people posting here are hip to what's going on. Happy New Year! Jim
  14. Of course, the experience of surgery (including pre and post op) is an integral part of the process. Nobody should feel shy about sharing it with others, if they desire. That is why I posted my pictures. They are what they are. If anyone chooses to take this information and use it to help them make a decision, that is their choice.
  15. LOFTIER THAN HAIR TRANSPLANTS! LIKE WHAT...WORLD PEACE!!
  16. Mike11, You are the man. Very, very funny. I'm an admirer of the judge and actually thought that he might hve "a chimp hanging from his family tree". Uncjim
  17. Funny, I've been trying to figure out Pat's situation also. It appears to me that because of the overall density, he's still doing something other that a HT. I'd like to be wrong though. The same goes for Bobby Rydell. He's looking a whole lot better that he did 15 years ago.
  18. Is there anybody out there who has had an FU session with Herb Feinberg of Englewood N.J.? If so, I am curious as to how he/she feels about the proceedure.

  20. Kar, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU LOOK GREAT! JIM
