@DrTBarghouthi were you able to follow up with the patient ? If consistent with the first trial. some hair growth should start already. Also as there are many discussions about regeneration percentage, maybe you could call in the first patient to compare hair count in test/control sites via the new trichoscanner device ?

Dr. Barghouthis 0.4 dose result was very promising and looked without gaps as surrounding areas, I bet hair regeneration was much higher than 25%. But there top surgeons , mediocre surgeons and ones who will botch you in any type of surgery where there is no such thing as limited donor. And people pay extra to go to top surgeons. Verteporfin won't change that in hair restoration, top will remain top, only the cost of mistake will be more forgiving.

@Killian hi brother ! Sorry if we on the forum bother you with a lot of requests. I know you plan to update on verteporfin at month 5. However if it works, there should be some early good signs already (as was fast healing at the beginning weeks). Can you please describe the progress so far ? The whole community will be grateful .

@Fox243, among us you are the only one who has some communication channels with Dr. Bloxham. Do you know why he doesn't update ? Did he drop the trial ? If we see at least some improvement on older FUT scars, it would be very likely that with old FUE scars we can achieve results comparable to fresh FUE.

Dude there are serious flaws in your logic. People do surgeries for themselves not to update some random internet guys. And the vast majority of people don't want to share their results. Complaining about delays is another thing, but making up theories and blaming well respected doctor without any proof is unacceptable . Keep positive and let's hope we will have some good news from Dr. Barghouthi soon.

Doctors discussed or active on this forum are probably the best ones, but they are tiny margin. There are literary thousands of doctors who haven't heard of verteporfin, there are younger doctors who would like to do it as a marketing. With 15k and help to source verteporfin I believe I can find a doctor. After all it doesn't add much complexity, you do your usual job and inject verteporfin. But that again would take time, so the best outcome for all of us would be if Dr. Barghouthi continues the efforts.

I think Mohebi, Pitella they lost interest. The only hope is Barghouthi (at least he said there is some progress in the background). I would say we wait till May, and if there is no update from Barghouthi by then, we must find lesser known surgeon who would agree to do a trial and finance him. There are thousands of HT surgeons not as famous and some will surely agree.

But the money was donated for the second more scientific trial. With 15k it would be much easier to find a surgeon. For less known surgeons that would be good money. Of course that is mostly donation of a single person and he should decide what to do. However I believe Dr. Barghouthi is still in the game, we just need better communication to avoid all the speculations.

Seems YAP inhibition is silver bullet as proved by Harvard scientists. Is verteporfin good enough, that's the unknown. Still everything we saw so far is pretty promising (the pig trial, the guy who tried it on cheek and nose, Dr. Barghouthi's trial, Longaker filed for patent for wound healing and hair regeneration via YAP inhibitor (Verteporfin) ).
