  1. I'd prefer to not share pictures of what it looks like, simply because the transplant was terrible and I went all in on medical interventions to make up for it. It actually looks good now, but only because I stopped abusing steroids and started using dutasteride, oral minoxidil, topical RU58841/pyrilutamide, and weekly microneedling. I still have one small patch on my left side, about one inch into my hairline that looks to be much thinner than the other spots. I think the clinic may have killed off some of my native hairs, but no one will ever notice. I'll be putting off another transplant until more information comes out about verteporfin, VS-6063, HMI-115, SCUB3, and GT20029 in the coming years. Depending on how those are, I think I would probably just head to a hair mill in Turkey and have them heavily harvest 4-5k grafts and hope the verteporfin or VS-6063 grows enough donor hair back that even if they do a bad job the volume would make up for it and just stay on dutasteride or go back to finasteride. Depends on all the cost/benefit ratios, etc.
  2. Jesus christ that's horrible.... Did you pay with credit card? I was able to get all my money back no problem. They didn't even contest with Mastercard so I won outright.
  3. Study on VS-6062: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-25410-z So we all have read the exciting Verteporfin action that's currently being tested with and I personally have chosen to delay my repair transplant procedure for now in the light of Verteporfin, GT20029, pyrilutamide and other hair loss drugs that will at least be available on the gray market within the next 12-24 months or so. I did some more reading and I found two other drugs that are supposedly even more effective than Verteporfin. Those being VS-6062 and VS-6063. Unfortunately I believe VS-6062 was discontinued but 6063 is currently being tested. Both those drugs appeared to show greater results than Verteporfin as far as wound/scar healing and hair follicle regeneration. VS-6062 is also able to be applied topically rather than injected, so ease of use is also much better. "Wound tissue treated with FAKI exhibited dramatic regrowth of hair follicles and subcutaneous glands (sweat and sebaceous) (Fig. 1h), as well as newly regenerated peri-follicular adipose tissue, demonstrated by immunofluorescent staining for the adipocyte marker perilipin A (Fig. 1i)" I also couldn't help but notice that VS-6062 is readily available for purchase online at around $500 for 50mg. Obviously I'm not recommending anyone to buy this and experiment with rubbing it on after a hair transplant. But I'm just saying, it's an interesting idea. Any thoughts on this? Would love to hear from any medical professionals.
  4. I appreciate all the input and kind thoughts, thank you all so much. Also bit of an update, Dr. William Rassman has sent me a signed testimonial stating I got scammed for my dispute case, so getting my money back should be an open and shut case with MasterCard.
  5. Yeah it should still be an improvement. I don't need a perfect hairline, I just get so frustrated that I fell for this because I thought I was being clever to save a buck. I honestly think there's a chance my results might be good enough that I won't be bothered enough to get another transplant but we'll see.
  6. Ha, that's funny. I did report them to the Mexican equivalent to the BBB, whatever good that will do.
  7. I am 25 and I am from Florida. Of course, now from reading these commentes I'm concerned they depleted my donor area too much. Hopefully a repair is still feasible. In the meantime I'm skipping finasteride and going straight to dutasteride, topical minoxidil and RU58841 to ensure my hairline doesn't look too fake/stupid.
  8. Thank you. In order to ensure max hair re-growth I will be hopping back on dutasteride and RU58841. The pre-op pictures are when I was only on finasteride so I fully expect to be able to cover up this farce in the mean time.
  9. Hi, I recently had a hair transplant done by Dr. Fernando Alejos from Cancun Hair Restoration located in Cancun Mexico. I will attach post op and pre-op pictures. I believe I was 100% scammed by this company. I paid $4,000 for a minimum guarantee of 2,500 grafts and up to 3,000. When I counted, I come up with 589 grafts. This has been very emotionally and mentally stressful on me, surgery was done on 11/19/2021. I was wondering if any knowledgeable doctors would be able to look at these pictures and ballpark estimate the grafts I received? For reference, two technicians completed the procedure in 3 hours and they claimed this is 2,000 grafts (pictures taken today 11/22/2021, 3 days post op). I split the sections into quadrants for convenience. I am currently in the process of disputing my credit card payment and I believe that having an independent surgeon's testimony would help my case if anyone was willing. I was also wondering if any doctors could provide input on what timeline I can expect that I could have this repaired? In 12 months perhaps, by an actual certified and highly reviewed clinic this time?
