  1. @Gi29Any update or feedbacks that could help the community? Should be by a year mark now.
  2. I've been reading up a lot about hair transplant lately and most articles, information, doctors/surgeons say that taking medication such as Finasteride, dustasteride, minoxidil is to protect Native hair as transplanted hair are "DHT resistance". However, there are articles also saying that transplanted hair might not last for a long time nor forever. So at this point, I dont know taking medication is mainly to protect native hair or transplant hair or both? for context, I'm in mid 30s , I think i am a norwood 3? both temples receded with a M shape but crown/back and mid scalp are dense/with volume and good. I think I'm against taking medication, but thinking on going for hair transplant to fix my hairline. However, I've seen some a youtube video by mattdominance, reviewing a patient that didn't take fin or any medication after transplant. Sometimes I'm wondering...does hair transplant/post transplant, affect our native hair? I'm not talking about temporary shock loss. I'm talking about, if it somehow affects the native hair around transplanted area, causing it to deteroriate/thinning faster/sooner/worsen than before hair transplant if without medication? There's so much about hair transplant that we don't know, or perhaps just me? The norm, the usual stuff that the doctors tell you that transplanted hair are permanent, it doesnt affect native hair other than temporary shock loss, taking medication its to protect native hair, but does anyone know for sure what's what? Other than being told by most the same thing. So, I'm asking, are there anyone that did hair transplant, without medication , that's at least 3-4 years post transplant, how's your hair progress at the moment? How's both your native/transplanted hair status? Is it worth going for hair transplant without medication? Everyone has different progress of MPB, different people stop at different norwood stage. So Im wondering if not having medication is worth going for hair transplant if I just want to fix my hairline? Given that I'm mid 30s, besides receded hair line and M shape, all else is dense/with volume.
  3. Hi, I am not on any medication. Im considering Dr Laorwong as well. Also Dr Pekiner from turkey. Dr Pekiner has a long wait list and its hard to contact him at the moment. I'm still looking for more options to shortlist. South korea market...is probably being behind korean speaking walls. There isn't much info for south korea surgeons besides that 1 Motion clinic by Dr Bakh , from afew patients making youtube videos.. I cant say I have no budget issue but I'm willing to pay to get a higher chance of more density and a good asian hairline covered.... which i'm still thinking. I was rushing into making decisions but now i think i will take awhile more to see more reviews and make more research.... The thoughts of going turkey scares me if I were to go with Dr Pekiner. Has to transit from turkey to where he is at Anakra i think. Also he does 1-1.5k graft per day on a patient, so twice the Anesthesia scares me too. Im afraid of needles and I heard it hurts abit when they are doing the local Anesthesia...imagine going through that twice...jeez.
  4. Ohhhh, I am from Singapore. Still looking to see other options for good HT surgeons. May I know why didnt you and your friend consider South korea or turkey or even thailand?
  5. Are there any East Asian ( chinese/korean/thai/etc) with hair clinic/surgeon recommendation? Most people on this forum are caucasian or people from the west. Barely see any Asians/Chinese/Korean's review or where they go for their hair transplant...or where should we go? Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations? For hairstyle thats combed back and with hair down ( namely known as Korean hairstyle). Anyone know which surgeon/clinic/country to go for thats best for chinese/koreans?
  6. yea, do you mind showing us your result with dr pekiner? Considering him too. It'd be helpful to the community

  11. @Panda858Who did your first surgery a year ago from motion clinic? do you mind sharing?
  12. @densedreamthis might come a little late, do you have your latest result that you dont mind showing?
  13. @elduterinohi, I dont know if you're still around here, but how's your last HT going with Dr Laorwong? For your frontal hair. Any pics?
  14. Hi, do you have a 1 year result? Do you mind posting? thanks!
  15. @Ramons Do you mind posting your update? should be on your 10th month now.
  16. Ahh thats why. I've seen you and many others suggested Dr path. May I know Dr path's full name? Also between Dr Laorwong and Dr Path, which one is more preferred? If price isn't not of factor. I really just want a good HT done. For the past 1 week I've been spending more than 8-10 hours per day going to different forums, websites, youtube videos, reviews, finding a good HT for Asian hair type. Was alot onto motion's clinic due to youtubers. However, Dr Laorwong's work has seems really good with the density which is what I really want. So umm, Dr Path or Dr Laorwong? Price not in consideration.
  17. Hi, I could not message you for some reason. Is it because I just joined/created this account/community? I've got a lot to ask
  18. Hi, I'm An Asian and has been looking and learning a lot through hair forums, youtube videos, articles, reddit, anywhere I could get information to help ease my worries and selection of Hair Transplant Clinic. I from Singapore. Does anyone have any good recommendation of hair transplant clinics? I think I'm at norwood 3, both temples have receded badly, however, I have dense hair top and back. Mainly the frontal is giving me problem. I was told that I might need 3k graphs to repair my hairline. Are there any good recommendations for Hair transplant clinic in maybe say South korea, or Thailand? Really would love to see some good recommendations. Don't have much info here on South korea or Thailand except Dr Laorwong and the other one.
