Hello, this Andrew Has from US. Wanted to share a short story of my journey here as I know there as some of you that been into this field for a long time. Any comment would be appreciated.
I have decided to get my hair done about a year ago and was looking into clinics in Istanbul as I was on a tight budget to be honest. Got some recommendations from some friends and got quotes from these clinics. Norwood was the most affordable and seemed decent.
Got quoted 1300 euro for 2800 grafts for the package including accommodation and transportation. I had to buy my flight tickets which was okay. Stayed there for 3 days and had my transplant done on the second. Careful examination and planning by the specialist before starting which was reassuring. It took around 5.5 hours to get it done. Very easy and comfortable than I have imagined. Last day, I had my check up and first washing by the specialist. Was given detailed instructions before I went to the airport.
The hardest part for me was the waiting. Got super anxious during this process as it takes time to see what you have dreamed of. Now, I am at my 6th month mark and I think everything went as planned.
Awesome result with great density... 👌

Yaman is very good option…l like his hairlines as they look natural and dense.

Got a haircut the other day and I'm surprised at how good the front looks outside and under sunlight. From the top, it's completely see-through and sparse of course.
Psychologically, I'm fully prepared for the possibility that I'll see no more growth -even though it's quite early still- and I can't really put any blame on the doctor, everything was handled with the utmost care, my recovery was smooth and without complications, I may have just been one of the unlucky ones. On the other hand, I may yet turn into Wolverine, fingers crossed and I'll continue my monthly updates
It looks good in the exterior environment under the sun. Until 12 Month it will look perfect 👍

1 Year & 1 Month Update
I completely forgot about my 1 year journey update!
I honestly dont think about my hair in a negative way now. My confidence with my hair has totally returned and this whole experience has been totally worth it.
From my last update, I've notice a slight increase in thickness. Letting my fringe grow & adding some wet hair product is my daily routine, give me the curls which I'm digging!
Still daily Finasteride (1mg) & Biotin
Very nice result. Dr bicer is guarantee 👌

All in inc PRP.
£2850
Thanks for the comments .👍
The price is really good..about 0.5€/graft. If you have max growth of grafts your appearance will change a lot..good luck !

Happy growing. It looks clean work and the graft distribution is good for your case with good density all over your scalp.
I wish you all the best.So how much did you pay in total for the 6000 grafts ?
-
I would select yaman, because you need 4500 grafts that dr yaman said you. Plus yaman is a good doctor and he has many independent patient cases here on this forum.
Gur is also a good doctor but a bit conservative. You will need two surgeries of 3k grafts with him. I found that dr Gur has many results on his instagram page which is shown below:

It's like the growth and outline are there but yeah, the transplanted hairs are nowhere near the characteristics of the donor. Fingers crossed!
You have growth but The transplanted hair indeed look weak and very thin so far. They need more time to get thicker…do you take any vitamins ?

I think people from USA should start travelling from USA to Latin America as they can get a better result with much less money than USA by travelling to South America to countries like Brazil( dr Pittella), Mexico (dr luis Nader) and Colombia (dr Camacho - Bogota hairlines)

Hey guys,
Does anyone know much about Dr Michalis Georgiou in Cyprus? I saw a great case on another forum and his prices are very reasonable. If you’re willing to send in regular update pictures for their website it’s €1.50 a graft, with flights and accommodation included for procedures over 2000 grafts. So 2000 grafts would be €3000 in total, unless these prices are not up to date? 3000 grafts would be €4500.
Seems very reasonable price for a procedure with heavy doctor involvement. Not too much more than a Turkish hairmill…
Thoughts anyone?
The price is indeed good enough for a doctor doing most of the procedure by himself.
Can you share the link with the great case of dr Georgiou that you saw on another forum ?

Thank you! I’m looking forward to 6+ months in the future. The total cost was 3,250 euros.
3250 euros for 2551 grafts is a perfect value for money with a great surgeon like Dr Turan. Looking forward for your future updates!

But Dr. Das huh? Dr. Das allows me to get the entire 4800 shebang tax and fees for under $15k which becomes immenintley doable. I'll have to look up his (her?) work. Any examples you care to share? Thanks for the heads up.you can find results of Dr Das on the link below:

I don’t think you need temple work. Just focus on the front part and save grafts and money. Your temples look fine for your age and if you make them too they will look aggressive. Think that temples are also a bit difficult to look natural..so they may need a touch up again
You could also consider dr Das from Eugenix for your case. She is more a budget option but still a good and safe one that will save you a lot money in order to fill your crown next year or do it at the same time with the front.

Happy growing. Dr turan is an excellent surgeon in Turkey. The design looks perfect. I wish you the best.
Can you tell us the cost of your hair transplant ?
-
The yield is low in your left side. Many grafts did not survive. The result is totally unacceptable for 12k $. I think you should ask the doctor to give you half money back.
It seems that paying a lot of money for a hair transplant doesn’t mean that you will get a proper and good result. You could have paid the half or even the 1/3 of these money and get a better result.- 1

Thank you! It was about 1300 in the crown and almost a 1000 in the hairline.
Happy growing. The design looks nice. Can you tell us the price per graft with dr Nader ?

I'm 24 y/o and have been looking at getting a HT for a year or so now. Initially I looked at the Turkish angle (mainly for the price) but decided that I'd be a fool to let that be the driving factor behind a surgery that's gonna be with me the rest of my life.
The reason I'm writing (and I'm sure this is not a new query) is that the UK clinics are vastly more expensive. I was quoted 3850 pounds for 5500 grafts over two days of surgery by blue magic which I thought at the time to be the most reputable clinic in Turkey but hey ho, I cant find a trustworthy review anywhere and after they started pressuring me to put a deposit down the day after my consultation I decided that these guys are business first and quality last.
The UK clinics and docs (Dr Reddy, Dr Ball) are advertising prices upwards of 7grand for around 2k grafts which is far out of my price range.
Is there any hope of a good. affordable and trusted clinic or am I just gonna have to accept my bald reality?
Thanks!!
There are good and more budget options (around 1+ €/graft) in Turkey that you could consider.
These are dr yaman, dr Gur, dr turan and dr demirsoy. By selecting one of these you can get a nice result without risk.

Hi there,
28 year old, Norwood 5 (I think? pictures attached) with pretty severe recession in the frontal area. In speaking with Dr. Camacho's clinic, they've recommended 2 separate surgeries - 3,000 to start, and an additional 1,500 - 2,500 after a year.
The clinic has also said that while it *is* an option to extend the surgery to 2 days and do 4,000 grafts at once, they wouldn't recommend it since "it will be more difficult to maximize the donor that way. Also, it can take a toll on you to go for a mega surgery 2 days in a row, a lot of anesthesia and discomfort."
I've seen plenty of people on here who go for 4,000 grafts in a single surgery, and I was wondering if it would be a truly bad idea to ask them for a full 4,000 over 2 days. It will be significantly more difficult to return for a second transplant after a year due to my life/career circumstances, and I would love to accomplish my (somewhat conservative) goals with a single trip if possible. I intend on requesting a conservative/deeper widow's peak hairline (something like this), and am not especially concerned with the thin appearance of my crown so much as filling in the front area that is currently completely bald hold for a small forelock.
I'm not currently on any medications as fin has traditionally produced side effects. I intend on giving it another shot on half dosage and starting minoxidil 3-4 months ahead of surgery.
Thank you in advance!
You could either do In one sessions or in two separate sessions. There’s nothing wrong to do it in one session and it depends on the clinic you choose. Some clinics don’t do mega sessions, while other do with success

Awesome result. Very natural and dense. Congrats 👏

Both eugenix and dr Gur are good options to go. You should compare their results and select the one that fit your needs and budget too.
If you would select dr Gur you would do another sessions after one year for another 3000 grafts ? -

well my budget is max $5000, im not sure how much that translates to in turkey but thank you, I will check out that list.
You could find very good and safe options in Turkey with that budget.
The doctors you should consult with are : dr Yaman, Dr turan, Dr Gur and Dr Demirsoy.
you could search their names on the search bar of this forum.

Happy growing the design looks very good 👍
so what made you choose dr Chris tsakalos for your hair transplant ? Was it because he is doing the whole procedure by himself (extractions and implantation of grafts ) ?
also can you tell us the cost of your hair transplant ? Thanks 🙏🏻
