Sorry for the lack of updates.  The pictures below were in the 5-6 month range.  I am EXTREMELY happy with the results….life changing!  Ask questions if you have them.  Would be happy to answer!

Just wondered about the @resulyaman clinic.  I sent a whatsapp message on last week and they are very, very quick to reply normally.

I know Turkey has a lot going on, so certainly do not want to hassle them if they are dealing with problems there.

Just wondering as I was supposed to book soon for next month or April.

    Any info is appreciated.

The earthquake did not affect Istanbul at all. so it’s completely safe..

Turkey is an huge country and Istanbul is very far from the epicentrer of the earthquake.

Cyprus is more close to the epicenter of the earthquake than Istanbul but still very far and was not affected too..

    Hello community,

I'm 53 years old and had a 3026 graft HT ten weeks ago and my donor area seems a little patchy still.  Could it be overharvested?  I also noticed that many grafts were taken from the unsafe donor area.  While I do understand that it may be necessary to take some grafts outside the safe zone, if you look at the photo I posted after I removed the bandage, it appears that they went pretty high up.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Photo 1:  Pre-surgery

Photo 2: Two days after surgery.

    Photo 3: 10 weeks post-op

If you zoom in the prop op photo you can still see some gaps even if it’s too dark.
The lighting is different on each photo. In the pre op photo the light is low while the post op photo is more bright. With more light in the post op photo it’s logical for the donor to look less dense.

  4. Happy growing. The work looks great and clean. I’m sure you are going to have a great result in 12 months from now 😃

it’s really good that dr yaman spends quite a lot time before the operation to take measurements of donor and recipient area characteristics in order to mathematically calculate the right amount of grafts for each area of your scalp.

price of 1 $ per graft is also good for such a great surgeon. I wish you good luck 👍

But if selecting Dr Kostis then it's not a top tier doctor anymore, in that case I could have decided other doctors / cheaprer perhaps as well.
But from the other hand 7 euro per graft which an estimated of ~3000 grafts (and this may be increased amount during the procedure) not including 21% VAT is a lot of money.

I really want a good doctor to do my procedure but I don't know if it worth that kind of amount of money, and if I decide to compromise on Dr Kostis will it be a better choice to think about "top 10-20" doctors instead?

The only package that I would select would be the package where dr bisanga does at least the incisions and dr kostis the extractions, which is still quite expensive compared to other good doctors who do most parts of the procedure by themselves. So you could consider other choices too.

For example dr Pekiner who is top doctor charges 2.7 without extra tax and he does the whole procedure by himself.

    Hello,

I was given a quote of 4 euro per graft using Dr Kostis & Dr Bisanga package, which as far as I understood is that Dr Bisanga will make the decisions and planning the HT but Dr Kostis will punch the grafts and will make the operative/practical part.

I was quoted of 7 euro per graft for Dr Bisanga only package. Should I go with Bisanga and is the price worth it?

I think there is also a third option with only dr kostis at 2.5 euro/graft ?

Hey guys, first proper post on this site so go easy on me!

Brief background on me & my hair loss. 34 years older suffered from hair loss for 10 years and have now reached NW6 and haven’t progressed for the past 5 years. I’m not on any fin or mix.

Started my research for a hair transplant around 6 months ago, decided on Dr Yaman due to some recent NW6 cases and in general some excellent work at a reasonable cost.

After a few weeks of consultation back in November we agreed a date and a 2 day surgery.

Just to note that pre surgery the customer care was excellent from the driver at the airport to the hotel. Felt really looked after and welcome.

1st day - first off was donor inspection and hairline drawing etc which was very detailed and Dr Yaman spends plenty of time without rushing to make sure you’re happy. I have had SMP done which you can see in the photos and the hairline is probably too low, Dr Yaman advised that a more reserved hairline would be best which I agreed with so will look at some removal in the future if it’s needed.

Luckily, although I have fine hair I have a good donor with the majority of hair being multiples.  We decided on a mature/natural hairline in order to achieve maximum density possible. After that the guys went ahead and did 3.5k grafts using donor from my left hand side and back of head. We finished around 9pm.

2nd day it was an earlier start, straight to it with another 2k grafts taken from from right hand side and then 900 from my beard. Cleaned and bandaged up with clear instructions for that evening and taken back to the hotel.

3rd and final day is tomorrow which is the first day hair wash at the clinic followed by my flight back to the UK. Just the final hurdle of getting around Istanbul airport.

I’ve attached some pre op photos and post op. I’ll attach donor pics tomorrow.

Overall, I’m super pleased. The works looks really clean and they have utilised the grafts well for the best coverage possible. Let me know what you think guys 👍89222750-4762-44FF-A29A-5EA873D96A90.thumb.jpeg.5c60c105cb2a6d69ffb5f905bbbd1106.jpegF42A878E-D9CF-4935-8182-EB3B90FD3C30.thumb.jpeg.792081c60b4b503061394e1ec5482374.jpeg

Happy growing. Looks very clean work…

it’s good that dr yaman spends quite a lot time for the pre consultation in order to organise the best plan for your case.

The mature hairline was also good choice in order to save donor grafts for a possible future touch up.

I think you are going to see a massive difference in 8 months from now 😃

so it was a 2 day procedure. The extraction was done with a manual punch ?

While it’s true that the majority of cases are not posted online, a 30% failure across the industry would be much more known as there would be far more patients discussing their dissatisfaction and seeking repair…what I have observed in 4.5 decades is more like 10% or less with the top docs that pre-screen their patients correctly, ruling out most physiology issues.

I think the failure percentage is much more than 10%. Many people may not know about forums, or many people who got an average result, can’t understand that their result should be better for the grafts they got. So these people who did not get a good result won’t post or complain anywhere. Also some people may afraid of talking online about their bad result with a known doctor for their own reasons.
In addition clinics do not post their bad cases, as they try to hide them.

So you really don’t know what’s the actual failure percentage of hair transplant doctors, if the most cases of the clinics are not posted online.

I am planning to do HT but can’t seem to decide on a doctor, i read good reviews then there is bad ones.. My budget is 5-6k, I have reached out to Bicer, she’s booked for one year, Dr Gur wants me on Fin and Min for one year then re-evaluate. I reached out to many more clinics and yet can’t decide.

    I need aprox 4-4.5k grafs 27 male

Can you upload pics of your self?

Before you do a hair transplant it’s better to start finasteride like dr Gur said to you.
