Hello all, just hit the 3 month mark of my 2nd surgery, so sharing a few pics.. the donor is still a bit shocked out, but Eugenix tells me that should start to resolve around month 4. Also, the midscalp definitely experienced some shock as well, and doesn't look very sparse from above, so fingers crossed for that.
Started taking biotin a little while back, but still haven't taken any pills other than that.
Worth mentioning, I have some sea salt spray and a little gel in my hair ATM to help thicken the texture.
As always, feel free to ask any questions, cheers

Hey friend full disclaimer I am totally biased, but I'm going to chime in and echo what's already been said, Eugenix is an excellent choice. Having been to Dr Das myself, and achieved results that I am ECSTATIC with, she would be my recommendation.
Nothing at all against the other Drs, I just believe in Eugenix and Dr Das based on personal experience of solid results, which are detailed in my post on here.
Whatever you decide, best of luck to you on your journey 🙏

Month 17 Update
The crown is now at 10 months, again still noticing improvements, I’ve included some photos of the crown combed forwards and also slicked back, which helps gives an illusion of a full head of hair. For the front im a month of the final ’18 month result’, although I feel that I have experienced a bit of a reduced density the past month, which I am owning to the anagen desynchronization kicking in (I thought I had dodged this as I cruised past month 15 milestone). It is hard to illustrate, and something which I have only noticed by running my hands through my hair, but something which feels more apparent in the mid-scalp area where I had lots of beard hair implanted.
You mentioned apparent 'anagen desychronization' in the midscalp where lots of beard hairs were implanted... is beard hair just known to be more susceptible to it than scalp donor is?
BTW, This is just an unimaginable result, especially considering where you started from, it's hard to even wrap the mind around. And knowing that there's still time for the crown to get even better... you must be speechlessly giddy every time you pass by a mirror 😀

Thanks!
That's exactly my motivation for posting my journey here... I got my hope from seeing some people's results on this forum and I want to be a source of encouragement for other guys also

Hi @Capelli21, congratulations on your great outcome and result!
I read earlier in your thread that you never took any meds nor vitamins but just maintained a good diet. Do you still not take any meds after the second surgery? Thanks so much! I've been super on the fence about it (even bought a supply of fin while at Eugenix), but to date I have not taken a single med. My body is so sensitive to any foreign substance, it's highly likely I'd be in the 2% that has major side effects lol

@Capelli21 thanks for the additional pics of your donor! In knockout cases like yours, I'm trying to understand what types of donors people start with. It looks like you had some retrograde alopecia and a not ideal donor, but were still able to get a 10/10 result. Perhaps because your donor itself is thick and wavy?
Regardless, congrats on the transformation and best of luck growing! Looking forward to seeing the final result - it already looks excellent IMO!
Ya, upon having my very first consultation with Eugenix we were shooting for 7000 grafts, but once I arrived and they saw the retrograde alopecia, particularly the rear, bottom of my donor by my neck the number went down to only 6000 total. They were still able to do their magic tho! I think the fact that my hair caliber is thick and it's wavy definitely lends itself to creating density, but I have to say, I really think their DHI method deserves some attention/ credit also. Who can say with exact surety, but how many guys are going to clinics and ultimately having a high transection rate due to mishandling of grafts during procedure, and later thinking "Man this doesn't look like 2k,3k, 4k" or whatever amount they had done? I see these posts on reddit all the time.
Long story short, my donor was suboptimal, my hair characteristics solid, but choosing the right clinic is also key

Wow @Capelli21 I think that two months into the ugly duckling phase is the hardest place to be in. Yet you look incredible! Wishing you all the best and thanks for sharing! 🙏
Thanks @Gatsby,for the kind words always..
Youre absolutely right, this is definitely the hardest place to be.. you know, 2 mos after my first HT, I had nothing to lose.. in my mind I threw up a hail Mary, and any hair growth that occurred would be a blessing... but now my 2nd time around, I bigtime underestimated how hard it would be, and the toll it would take on me emotionally; this time, pre-HT I had a head of hair that I was really liked, and it was long and I was so happy with it.
My advice would be to anyone who finds themselves in this specific situation to seriously prepare yourself mentally to have it all shaved off, and really endure this long, dark period aka ugly duckling.
I hope to never have to do this again lol

Wow you look incredible! You must be thrilled - congratulations sir!
Couple questions if you get a chance:
1. Are you on any medications?
2. Do you have any pictures of your donor before surgeries? Another angle from the pictures below maybe? Trying to get a sense of how it looked before going in. It looks untouched even after 2 surgeries - amazing!
3. Your hair looks thick and wavy - was it always that way before too?
@Grouse Thanks!
I have never taken an medications.
My original hair was extremely thick and wavy/ curly... trying to get as much of that back as possible!
I've attached a few photos of the donor immediately pre-op, and a photo of before I lost my hair for reference, ignore the zoolander face haha

Hello guys, just checking in to share a little update, as 2 months just passed last week. I definitely have experienced a little shock loss of native hairs (from last year's HT) on my midscalp. I want to say there's been a tiny bit of loss in the crown too, but not as much as the midscalp area, probably bc the crown was less dense to start.
I still have some loss in the scalp donor as you can see, there are strange patterned lines. Ive spoken to Eugenix about it, and they said they feel confident this will start to clear up around month 4, and as Hard as it is... I trust them. I just shave it down with a 1/2 guard to minimize it cause it looks horrible when grown out.
Not much else to report, feel free to ask any questions, otherwise see you at month 3!

It's looking good with consistent density across your head. We all know what the front turned out like, so the signs are very good for the rest.
You may still have some shock loss in the donor, but it may be that you will need to wear your hair longer than I one guard given the number of grafts you had extracted.
Happy growing - I'm sure it'll look fantastic!
Thank you!

Hello fam, sharing my 1 month update: I'm shaving the back and sides with a number one guard. Not sure if it's reality or just my perception but it feels like the hair on top of my head just isn't growing very fast at all...
Also I see some linear patterns on my donor area that I did not experience after my first surgery, wondering if this is normal? I'm not sure if it's donor shock loss but I'm hoping it clears up over time!

Thanks @Zoomster! Again, seeing your results from your first HT on here was THE reason that I decided to go with Eugenix. I gave you a little mention in my recent media interview and they actually put it in the YouTube video! Pretty cool.

Thank you for sharing your journey. Amazing results.
Would you please share some pictures of your beard, before, immediately after harvesting, and how it heals?
I have a procedure with Dr. Gujrati (Dr. G) in August with 2,500 beard to scalp grafts planned.
Thanks and so appreciative for this site 🙏
Thanks!

Truly incredible workmanship and an excellent result. Are you still not taking finasteride or minoxidil?
Thank you. I still haven't taken fin or min... although I bought a year's supply of fin while in India because it was so cheap, and am currently debating whether to start taking it

I am so curious how bad my shock loss to the native hairs aka hairs transplanted last year is going to be.
Dr Das told me I may not have shock loss due to recipient being more sparse in the midscalp and crown prior to the procedure. Can anybody that's had a 2nd procedure for density weigh in with their experience?

@Capelli21 the results from your first surgery were, simply put, mind blowing. It was one of the most natural results that I have seen. This second procedure will seal the deal. You have excellent hair characteristics for surgery and I am really looking forward to following your journey. Now the fun begins! 🤩👌💯
Thank you! I know we are both in the same proverbial boat of waiting, time just can't pass quickly enough haha

Such a fantastic write-up. Im sorry your partner got sick, Indian food is delicious but can be tough on the stomach of a westerner. Glad you got to see their hospitality first hand.
Keep your mind occupied on other things for a few more months, but know that a major transformation is just around the corner for you!

Your progress has been so inspiring to watch! You’ve already had stellar results and now it seems like you’re circling the bullseye of perfection. I loved seeing your partial interview up on YouTube this morning. I was like “I know that handsome man!” 😂
Ow wow, I didn't realize they had posted anything yet! Haha.. Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully my story can inspire others as well, who are on the fence (as I was), to take action and get some wonderful results!

Thought I would also include some more shots of the same angles, but this time under very bright, harsh sunlight, so you can see the good, bad, and ugly. In these, the shock loss in the donor is more noticeable, at the top of the zone where they took from in the back, its almost like a smiley face 😀
Will report back at month 4, and we should hopefully start to see that clearing up!
