  1. The same reason anyone else would, a disproportionate reduction in scalp to serum DHT is a huge success. I’m just more concerned with efficacy rather than using it infrequently to avoid all systemic absorption.
  2. I’d rather use the Xyon dutasteride multiple times per week, just wondering if he has mentioned using it as adjunct treatment.
  3. Has Dr. Hasson mentioned using it alongside daily oral finasteride? I’m not really worried about systemic absorption just unsure if it’s worth the investment.
  4. Outstanding growth for 3 months. I wonder how much the oral minoxidil helps early growers like this.
  5. Does anyone else find it concerning that they created an account just to argue with a patient? He clearly sensed something was off and he was right. I’m sorry about Dr. Keser’s cousin, but imagine a heart surgeon or neurosurgeon making personal excuses for why the procedure didn’t run smoothly as usual. I saw the original hotel room photos and they look no different than the post-op photos. It’s crazy to me that the patient feels he needs to apologize for sharing his true experience.
  6. Given your age and low budget I think you’re currently a poor candidate for a transplant. A couple years of medication and saving will give you a drastically better result imo.
  7. 30% minoxidil?? Why didn’t you mention that before bro, 1.25 mg twice a day probably isn’t enough to replace such a massive dose.
  8. Those post-op photos are ridiculously clean, your hairline has a ton of definition for only 3 months.
  9. If you’re so unconcerned about a “careless” comment affecting reputation why create a new account for the sake of publicly arguing with a patient?
  10. Thanks for the clarification, I know exactly what you mean about understanding English and it’s really assuring as I’m highly considering Dr. Ferreira. How did you feel about the technicians and their involvement in the surgery?
  11. For only 6 months this looks like a home run result. Hopefully you can keep trying Finasteride, the fact that you suffered in fear for so many years before even trying the drug puts you at a massive risk of nocebo effect, especially with brain fog which isn’t a real medical condition. I previously read that Dr. Ferreira and his team spoke very little English but it sounds like that wasn’t the case for you?
  12. Looks good but be careful saying you don’t mind a visibly thinned donor area with hair on top. It’s a look not found in nature and would draw more attention than a bald spot on the crown.
  13. Best advice is to take your meds and spend a year or two away away from hair loss forums just living life. Fin is not ruining your sleep and if you go searching for side effects I promise you will find them. As for the original Q I would tell myself to start Dutasteride immediately at 18 and never visit Tressless in my life. When you’re young you don’t understand that 5-10% of people are hypochondriacs with serious mental health issues, and they are disproportionately loud on forums.
  14. I would want to give oral minoxidil a full year and add a consistent microneedling routine. That alone could make a huge difference given your great baseline. Your proactive treatment and minimal loss gives you the luxury of time which many here don’t have. Over the next few years you could try minoxidil, microneedling, Breezula, etc. and then reevaluate after seeing the full results. Is this your first time using minoxidil?
  15. Life-changing result. I hope you religiously follow Dr. Pitella’s medication schedule and thank god every day that you have defeated almost certain baldness.
  16. It’s a valid concern but likely overblown. We’re taking 5-40 times less than prescribed for hypertension and that includes pediatrics. Even if there was a slight decrease in collagen production long term it’s likely negligible at 2.5 mg and can probably be offset with Tretinoin, vitamin C, and daily sun protection. The real concern is the rare cardiovascular side effects. Having no underlying conditions and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can likely offset these risks in a similar manner, but it’s a much greater risk than temporary sexual side effects.
  17. Hey, did you ever find a better alternative for name brand propecia? I wish this could’ve lasted.
