  1. With 3000-4000 euros you could easily find a good and ethical surgeon in Turkey. Higher price doenst mean that you will get better result.
As it was said before you could select either one of Dr gur, Dr turan, Dr Yaman, and Dr Demirsoy. You would be in safe hands with them and you would get a great result fro sure, as they ethical surgeons participating in all procedures by doing the critical parts of the procedure..So just connect with them and wait for their reply. You should start finasteride too, to stabilise your hair loss. Good luck mate.

Both are excellent surgeons and I know Dr.Mwamba has more experience with doing temple restoration. Problem is that Mwamba costs about twice as much as Dr.Demirsoy when you factor in the tax involved with Belgium transplants. It would probably take an entire year for me to save up for Mwamba and this is with his discounted 3/graft rate, usually it's 5/graft. The main factor for me favouring Mwamba over Demirsoy is that he has a lot more experience regarding aggressive temple points, whereas Demirsoy produces more conservative temple points.

Also, which donor is better when it comes to producing a densely packed hairline while preserving the donor.

Below are pictures of the hairline and temple design provided by Dr.Demirsory. Let me know what you guys think.

Higher price doesnt mean that you will get a better result. Higher price many times is due to higher expenses of a specific country like taxes, rents etc...So if i was in your case i would go with dr Demirsoy who is very ethical surgeon in turkey and does the most important parts of the procedure by himself (extraction, incisions, plan and deisgn) for 1.5 €

  3. Dr Pittella is able to extract very large number of grafts in one session without any problem at all, while other clinics are not able to do it and say that is not possible etc...But Dr pittella shows that fue has been evolved and giga sessions are absolutely fine and safe and the patient does not have to suffer from mutliple surgeries...
Good luck mate...the work is really good.

BaldGuy - how many available grafts does average donor have ? I’m a bit concerned of 5000 grafts over two days and having crappy result and then having my donor area used up

yaman did offer me two days manual extraction for up to 5500 grafts.  I thought that was a lot for a Norwood 4 but I’m not an expert

it depends on the candidate. As i said you before...look at dr pittella cases where he extracts 10.000-12.000 grafts in 2 days and he gives great result...Dr yaman extracts the half of this..

there's no any reason to worry...but if you want you can seperate the procedure and tell dr yaman to do the front part now with 3000-3200 grafts and then do the crown next year. It depends on what you want and you could ask the doctor to seperate the procedure in two procedure with 1 year gap between them.

    Thank you BaldGuy.

would you be concerned of 4,500 grafts overharvesting or completely depleting donor area ect ?

no, there's no fear for that..Think that Dr Pittella extracts over 6000 grafts in one day...there is a recent case of dr pittella with extracting around 12000 grafts in just two days.
Dr yaman know what he is doing and the extractor is very experienced. You could also select manual extraction with dr yaman..You can ask it from the doctor if you want to do it this way and it would be a two day surgery.

If you want to do hairline and crown, then you need 4000-4500 grafts like Dr Yaman proposed you. If you go with dr gur, with 3000-3200 grafts you should do only the hairline..Because if you want to both hairline and crown, you need over 4000 grafts for a good density...So between these two plans i would select Dr Yaman, as he suggested you the appropriate number for your case.

    Hello,

Norwood IV with a receded hairline and a good size bald crown.

I think I’ve  narrowed it to the two below

Dr Resul Yaman - proposes 4,500 grafts over one day, motorized extraction.  He says he will cover my crown.  Their communication has been great. cost 3,500

Dr Gur - proposes 3000-3200 grafts manual extraction.  Says he will not implant the back half of crown and I will need to return for that.  Their communication has been great.  Cost 3,000

Any differences on doctor quality? What do you all think is my best option?  Should I go with 4,500 grafts with Yaman and hope I’ll get more coverage, or stay more conservative with 3,000 grafts from Gur but know I’ll most likely have to return?  (Please Don’t tell me to go to pekiner or Bicer ect they are out of my budget)

    thanks!

Both Dr Yaman and Dr Gur are great and ethical doctors. With both doctors you are going to have a nice result...So it depends on you which doctor's design you like most...How is your hairline? Can you share some pics of your hairline?

Also you could consider dr Turan and Dr Demirsoy at the same price with Dr yaman and Dr Gur...

Thank you!! I appreciate the comment. I am just starting to enjoy as my HT is starting to come together. I feel good about myself, and looking forward to the next few months and see how the final result comes out.

Take care!!I I’m hopping the very best for your results along with everyone else. Take care

Your result is already very good and it will be improved in the next months...so just enjoy it! Your appearance has changed drastically...

  9. Lorenzo was good in the past but lately i have seen various negative reviews about him, so i would not suggest him as a good option for his high price.
Eugenix is definitely a much better option than Lorenzo.
So between these two i would suggest Eugenix.
Otherwise you could look at other elite clinics that are experienced on higher norwoods like Dr Pittella in Brazil, Dr Zarev.

    Hi there,

This is my first post on the forum, however, I’ve been checking the forum regularly for a few years now for advice and reassurance. Thank you to all that post, it’s actually really comforting to know this community exists and people share their stories. It’s definitely helped me through some sleepless nights!

I’m 35, I started thinning at 21, and my hair loss has been gradual over that period. Over the past 5/6 years it’s mostly stabilised to a Norwood 5. I’ve persisted with it for years (combovers, fibres, shaved head) and I’ve decided now is the right time to do something meaningful about it and get a HT to regain some of my confidence c.3500-3800 grafts

As the prices in the UK are completely unaffordable to me, I’m looking at affordable options in Turkey. I did originally enquire with Dr Bicer (as her work is amazing!) however unfortunately, I think she will be slightly out of my price range - so I’m considering what I understand to be the next best options from peoples recommendations - Dr Gur, Dr Turan and Dr Yaman.

I was wondering if anyone had any other suitable suggestions? I saw a great result with Euginex in India, but I would have thought that would be even more expensive than Turkey

I’m keen to avoid any hair mills - so I’m assuming places like Now Hair Time are a no go? 😅

It’s obviously a big decision and investment so I’m eager to make the right decision. Pics below for reference.

Thanks in advance for your help.

For affordable and safe options in Turkey...Yaman, Gur and Turan would be your best options. Plus Dr Demirsoy..They would give you a nice result without having to spend so much money like you would have to do with other expemsive clinics. So they are safe value for money options.
Eugenix is also good for higher norwoods which has also some lower packages where they are more afforable than the premium ones.

    Month 5

All I can say is that I am quite pleased and really didn't imagine my hair could look this full. I tried to adopt very realistic expectations with hopes of being surprised and I am indeed surprised!

The illusion has gotten better since last months as hairs that have sprouted around the hairline have grown and the hair itself has grown longer. I have found that length and strategic styling is very important in achieving the best illusion of density.

I was in NYC this past weekend rehearsing with my 7-piece funk/rock band (hadn't seen the guys in 2 months) when one of the band members said, "SLA, your hair looks so good! What happened (he said perplexed)?" After joking with them for a minute about how my hair grew back, I told them all about the amazing clinic in New Delhi called Eugenix! When I told them, there was a slight feeling of insecurity/nervousness about opening up and being judged, but there was none of that. They were amazed at how all of this was achievable and a couple of them who are thinning/balding started to open up about their hair loss and I educated them about treatments, etc.

Looking forward to seeing what the next months bring, but dare I say that if this was what it looked like at month 12, I would be smiling ear to ear.

Hair greed is a real thing for sure and if all continues well, my goal is to return to India towards the end of the year for the crown.

Tried to capture a few photos in slightly different lighting...

Thanks again to this forum and all the 'guinea pigs' that have gone before me and for all the support along the way.

Thanks. I expected better results than that initially. Expectations were based on before and after videos on youtube with similar grade of baldness and more or less same number of grafts used. But I have accepted that with limited grafts this is what I could have achieved. I am pleased with the overall results and very happy with the front view.

You should never focus on cases posted by a clinic since they are their best results. You will never see an average result on cases that are posted by a clinic. As a result you will have high expectations and you will not be satisfied with your result. You should focus on real patient cases posted by the patients themselves to have a real idea.

Hello everyone. I'm 40 years old taking oral finasteride to stabilise my hair loss, norwood 5 and i'm looking to have a hair transplant. From my research i have decided to select one of the following clinics. Which one of them you would select as the first option ?

    • Dr Turan
    • Dr Gur
    • Dr Yaman
    • Dr Demirsoy

My criteria of selecting these clinics are that they all have doctor involvement in their procedures, few patients per day (max 2 patients per day), consistent good results, affordable price around 1+€/graft.

I think all of the 4 doctors you mentioned are great options. My advice is to compare their norwood 5 results which are simillar to your case and after you compare their norwood 5 results, you could consult with all of them and see what they suggest you for your case and select the one you like mostly.

    Hello all,

I am finally almost done making an appointment for a hairtransplant. Its next month with Dr Gur. Dr Turan the earliest appointment is in november.

The reason i choose Dr Gur is because of longer waiting list with Turan. Also i can't find any information about who is better, i think they both have similar results.

I am going for a Vip package, its between 2500-3000 graphs. I am Norwood IVa.

I did make the right choice right?

Both surgeons are good options. In all packages Dr gur does the incisions, plan and design, while his price differ if you select the premium package where he does the extractions as well at athe price of 1.5 euro/graft. If you select the simple package Dr gur doesnt do the extractions but he does the rest. The technician of dr gur is experienced so the simple package of dr gur at 1 euro/graft is still vey good option.
