Yaman is a good surgeon but I fear he’s treading close to the Asmed / Koray route of expanding too quickly.

The stories above of 6-8 surgery’s a day are alarming. I’m not sure what his packages are and the breakdown of Dr / Tech involvement but with so many surgeries a day Yaman’s role must be minimal now. There’s nothing wrong with tech involvement but the larger operation you have the harder it is to remain consistent.

well Dr Yaman does a few patients per day, Usually 2 patients per day but it can go up to 3 sometimes.
Other known surgeons do 3-4 surgeries per day too like Freitas Lorenzo.

Look at the thread below, @Timothy was the only patient of Dr Yaman during his operation.

Also on this thread there were 3 patients in total

Hi guys I'm new here and really nervous lol

This is my hair 19 days post surgery and was looking to know if this looks pretty normal to you guys? Really glad I found this forum I've been constantly checking things online Screenshot_20240107_150936_Gallery.thumb.jpg.8c0485932074235f017432f909299bcf.jpgSnapchat-315426666.thumb.jpg.4b07baebdc7e52f75a8a9953bdbf45ee.jpg

Happy growing...everything looks perfectly normal. You will start seeing result at 6 months and final result at 12 months. Best of luck. How much did you pay for your hair transplant?

    • Thanks 1

If I start topical minox now - wouldn't that just induce another factor that could cause me to shed and delay my results? I'm a little wary about starting a different treatment now.

in fact topical minoxidil will speed up your growth...many patients who get topical minoxidil after hair transplant see their growth faster than normal. It will also help your growth by adding more blood supply in your scalp.

    Do not do microneedling !

I had a long conversation with Eugenix today.  They def go further than the Dr. Yaman’s office in terms of explaining the procedure, process and potential results.

I am starting to lean towards going to Eugenix, but can only afford the entry level package with their newer doctors.

would you recommend sticking with Yaman or entrusting a newer doctor at Eugenix?

Between entry level package of Eugenix and Dr Yaman i would definitely choose Dr Yaman. The entry level package has a new doctor with low experience and with no results posted similar to yours. While yaman has big experience as he is doing surgeries for many years and he deals with all the patients of his clinic. He has done many cases to higher norwood patients.

Hello everyone, it's my first post here but I was searching this forum rather extensively last two weeks (and much longer I was on some Reddits regarding hair loss). Im decide that I want to undergo hair transplant in next month and so this thread is my journal where I will be posting updates about my me and my hair :)

    My background

I am 25yo male and I started noticing hair loss on my scalp (Norwood 2) since I was like 17-18. Genetically I have more oval shaped hair line, whereas my 2 years older brother have perfect straight line till today. At about my 18th birthday dermatologist confirmed that I have androgenic alopecia and prescribed me minoxidil 5%. I was using it with minor improvement (hair stopped falling and had a bit of regrowth), like that "on and off" for about 4 years and then I added finasteride which gave me really bad ED (but helped with regrowth!). I guess it was mostly because I was taking it on my own, without much knowledge about the drug and how to dose it + I was not in best condition mentally. Basically since early 2022 I was off any treatment.

    Current state

Right now, after more than 2 years without any treatment I found myself with Norwood 3 and my temples are 90% gone. I can still hide most of my receded hairline with longer hair but with just a little bit of wind my hair is getting messy and look bad again.

    Transplant decision

Since I got remote work I could get transplant without most of people knowing about it (which is important for me) and that idea is really tempting. I still live with my family so normal full shave FUE/FUT* transplant is not ideal option for me. I found out that most of reliable surgeons discussed on this forum do perform kind of transplant called unshaven FUE or non-shave FUE which require just to shave donor area - that is much better option for me. Later on, during my research I found that some clinics even perform completely unshaven FUEso there is no need to shave even donor area. Perfect! I decided that's what I will be looking for with my budget (about 4000-4500€)

    * I really never considered FUT because in my opinion it needs more time to heal and leave really obvious scar.

    Choosing clinic

I live in Europe and cost of tickets to Turkey are really cheap, I can get there for as little as 150€ and since my budget is not big Turkey is the place to go for me. I got in touch with few Turkish clinics, some of them was hair mills (having good and bad opinions here) and some doctors (as well having good and bad opinions on this forum) so I got idea how many grafts I need and how much it will cost.

    • Longevita - hairmill - cheapest option that I talked with, the whole experience was the perfect example of a place to avoid. They WhatsApp is a joke, basically it's a chat bot and you don't talk with real human. After sending photos of my scalp I got quote for about 2200€ for unshaven FUE and someone called me from UK mobile number. I think someone can get nice transplant there but it's more of a lottery. That's my thoughts after reading some reviews on this forum.
    • Atilla & Turan clinic - I think it might be a scam - I almost booked with them. I did not found much information about them. Only good reviews from last 2 months. They have some YouTube channel with some videos as well uploaded not a while a go and on their website there's no even address of their clinic. Really suspicious. The guy I was chatting on WhatsApp was very unprofessional and tried to catch me (?) with giving me "early bird discount" if I will make deposit right now on theirs Wise Transfer app account. Too many red flags. I might make another thread about it. They quoted me for 1800 grafts.
    • Yaman clinic - the most recommended clinic on this forum on my list - I feel the talk on WhatsApp was really professional. They have just two packages, one for 3250$ ca. 3000€ for 2000-2500 grafts. That's ok for but its unshaven FUE with shaven donor area. Not ideal for but for sure have the most good reviews on this forum. Unfortunately recently I found some reviews with not so good results (might be just coincidence). If I would look for unshaven FUE with shaven donor area I would definitely stop here and choose them.
    • Heva Clinic - very well known hair mill with aggressive marketing on social media - they quoted me for 5200€. Not in my budget, it's a hair mill. I didn't talk with them more.
    • DrT Hair / dr Tayfun Oguzoglu clinic - first clinic with specific doctor that do completely unshaven FUE - on this forum and reddit I found really mixed results. But since they advertise dr Tayfun as a surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in hair transplant I was still interested of their service. I found some more solid good reviews on Turkish forum. They quoted me for 2000 grafts. Price list they gave me for completely unshaven FUE: 2€ for short hair and 3€ for long hair. I did not managed to get information what length is consider as "long hair" but they assured me that my donor is ok to be "short hair".
    • Kozamet / dr Harun Samiloglu - Kozamet is an agency that do hair transplant and some kind of teeth surgeries/operations as far as I found. They advertise that the only doctor involved in hair transplant is dr Harun Samiloglu, which sounds reasonable for me. I found on this forum just two reviews of transplant performed by dr Harun Samiloglu and reviews was good. Later on I found some more informations on German and Turkish forum. All of reviews was posted during last 5 years. They have as well some YouTube channel with videos (in German language) that was uploaded 5 years ago. Even that is agency I see they have real reviews and just don't seem to do any unethical marketing. They quoted me for 1800 grafts as well. Price list they gave me for completely unshaven FUE is 2.5€/graft and 1.5€ for partial FUE (if someone interested).

After all this conversations I understood that I need about 1800-2000 grafts. Initially I hoped that 1500 will be enough. I have a thought that maybe in future I might need another transplant so I would like to keep amount of grafts as low as possible.

I narrowed down my options to two of them - DrT Hair / dr Tayfun Oguzoglu clinic and Kozamet / dr Harun Samiloglu. I want to decide in next few days to which clinic I will go because I want to do my transplant in next month.

Please feel free to comment and if you have any suggestions I will be happy read/consider them before my final decision.

Yaman is the best between the clinics you mentioned. Otherwise you could look at clinics like Dr Turan, Dr Gur and Dr Demirsoy which are affordable and great options too within your budget.

Did Turan and Gur price go up? They were around 1$/graft

Dr Turan's prices are the following:

    Up to 2250 grafts: 3350€
    Up to 2500 grafts: 3700€
    Up to 3000 grafts: 4000€

    2 days surgery
    Up to 3500 grafts: 4400€
    3500-4500 grafts : 5000€

While dr Gur has also a standard package (in which one he doesn't do extractions, be he does incisions ) at 3500 €, while his vip package is charged per graft and its more expensive.

    Hi everyone!

I am a 39-year-old Middle Eastern male from California, and I am looking to go to Turkey to get my hair transplant done for the first time.

I’ve spoken to Meny, the doctor, but I think I have settled with going with Dr. Yaman.  I got a good sense from his communication team, and have seen great results on this forum and other places as well.

Before I go, I wanted to get everyone’s opinion on whether or not a surgery should even be done on my scalp, and whether or not it may take if so.

my hair loss started an earnest at about 26 years old, and I have been able to maintain it for the most part with a daily regimen of finasteride 1 mg, and I have recently started taking oral minoxidil 2.5 mg per day as well. I am starting to see the initial hair loss on the Oral minoxidil, I am about 2 to 3 months in to the regimen, and my hair does seem to be a little bit more full, but it could also be my imagination.

In any event, please see the photos below I would like everyone’s opinion on whether or not a surgery would correct what I think is a Norwood VI baldness on my scalp with the 4500 grafts or so, Dr. Yaman recommended.

    thank you!

Yes a hair transplant would change your appearence, and you should proceed with the hair transplant. With the 4500 grafts that dr yaman suggested, you should only focus on frontal third and midscalp and leave the crown for possible next procedure.

    Hey guys,

here are my 8 1/2 months past the HT results with Dr. Yaman and I've started to let it grow out like back in the days... and it feels good turning the clock back.

What would you say, is it bad for the hair(roots) to let it grow a bit, so soon after the HT?
Do you think it's a myth that a short haircut is better for the hair or are these just old hairdressers' tales?
You know, I don't want to get greedy and ruin something.

I am not on any kind of hairpills anymore.

The pictures were made in the morning under weak daylight and under a lamp.

Your result is awesome man. Dr yaman did a really good work on you...very happy fro you!

P.s. after hair transplant its good to let your hair grow, since by this way it gives you more coverage, you dont have to cut it.

I have a very robust beard, and I would like to see if they can be used for donor restocking and perhaps scalp as well.

Right now I have some FUT scars that I think would be a great area to see if beard grafts can grow in it.

From reviews, it seems that Eugenix and Dr Mwamba have the most reviews with using beard grafts, but I would like to expand my options.

After that, it seems maybe dr Bisanga has a lot of experience with beard grafts.

I am in the US, so it would be great if I can go to a US doctor. I saw Dr Josephitis has a video on beard graft, he said he has 80% yield, which seems to be what other top doctors experience with beard grafts have.

Is there anyone else who should be in my Radar?

Eugenix is the clinic with the most experience in transplanting beard grafts with success. In most cases Eugenix doctors use beard grafts, which is not happening to other clinics. Mwamba is a good choice too.

It is mostly depended on the punch size and the extraction pattern. You cant compare the case of mr. rolandas with this case. Rolandas hat 6000 grafts per fue, this case was only with 1200 grafts.

I have seen many cases with Patients who got their procedure with famous doctors using small punches, and their scars are visible when its shaved. Ronaldas even had too visible scars during his first surgery with 3000 grafts, altough the punch size was quite small...
It mostly depends on the candidate, rather than on the punch size. Because you can see two pleople, who got their procedure with the same doctor with the same grafts, the one has more visible scars than other. Both will have scars when they shave their donor, while on the one might be more visible...because some people tend to have more visible scars than others.
