I was referring to hype marketing of cheap hair mills in Turkey.

I almost some the doctors you mentioned use implanters with pre incisions, but by no means I say this method is bad or otherwise.

My response was to focus on the quality of the surgeon (FUE as well can be done bad if the surgeon is not high skilled equal to DHI).

There's also a matter gear quality and many (not everyone) use the choi pens and cause high rate of transactions, high quality clinic won't use generic implanters, unskilled staff, ect...

I dont think its marketing. Its just a different type of implantation of grafts, which DHI method is also used by top class surgeons like Dr Couto, Dr Freitas, Dr Pinto, Dr Ferreira etc...

No one of the doctors i mentioned use implanter with pre made incisions. They just use sharp implanters without incisions, thats why the grafts are insterted by the surgeon himself and these doctors dont use techs to implant the grafts.

Choi pens do not cause transections, since they cause less trauma to the scalp. I dont talk about unexperienced stuff though.

  2. DHI is the method of implantation with sharp implanters (choi pens). There's not any transection with choi pens, as they cause less trauma to the recipient area compared to pre made slits
Top surgeons like Dr Freitas, Dr Couto, Villa, Dr Pinto, Dr Ferreira are using choi pens (sharp implanters) to implant the grafts without doing incisions seperately and so the grafts are insetred into the scalp by the surgeon with the sharp implanter.

Hi, I decided to fix/improve it elsewhere.

No, I didn't ask for money-back, and HDC didn't offer that. They did offered free touch-up though.

While my result is very disappointing, it's important to remember no medical treatment if "risk-free"/100% guaranteed, even under good hands. I guess that's life and sometimes you're on the wrong side of statistics. It doesn't mean it's a bad clinic/doctor.

oh okay...so you decied to do a repair in other clinic and not to HDC...did the other clinic tell you any explanation for your dissapoining result with HDC?

Yea i know that hair transpslant success result in not guaranteed, there is always risk..., but at least they should offer money back to go to other clinic to fix it, so you dont have to pay 2 times to fix your problem, which should have been finished with one procedure..

3000-3200 grafts in the safe zone donor. (According to Bisanga's measurments)

There was no plan. I already wrote this, but they didn't want to implant more grafts on the crown and midscalp, because of risk of harming existing hair.

Then they were like "wait, wait few more months, it will improve, we will see". And it of course didn't improve, so dr Das after 10 months proposed to implant 1000 grafts on the midscalp and 1500 on the crown. Suddenly there was no concern of hurting existing hair.

why was eugenix expecting from your native hair to imrpove?? You didnt start now the miedication, but on 2021 as i saw on your thread, so you cant expect further improvement now, but just stabilisation with your current  hair loss therapy.

how do you explain the fact that now they wont damage existing hairs in the rest of your scalp , while before the procedure they would damage them if implantation would had been done on these areas ?

For your next procedure you should measure the total area of midscalp and crown, and calulcate how many grafts you need for each area in order to have decent coverage.

  5. The frontal third looks good, however the temple points look bad and unatural with thick grafts implanted there. I think it would have been better not to implant grafts to temple points at all and save those grafts for the rest part of your head (midscalp and crown). How many grafts left in your donor, in order to cover midscalp and crown? What was the initial plan of Eugenix, in order to give you full coverage ?

I’m debating whether or not I should go to Turkey to get a transplant or get one near me, in the US, as there is a good surgeon (Dr. Gabel in Oregon) near me. Money isn’t necessarily an issue at the moment, but saving about $8,000 is always appreciated. However, I’m mainly just worried about if it’s worth going to turkey overall. I do want a good job done but if I can get the same result in Turkey for much less, it seems like a good idea. However, I’m worried about the heat in turkey after a transplant and it being out of country etc. But if anyone has experiences or has a thought let me know! I’m not against going to Turkey but just wondering if getting it done here by Dr. Gabel would be a better idea. As I recall, Gabel quoted me at about $9000 for 1600 grafts.

US is very overpriced, while europe is much cheaper with better quality than US. Higher price doesnt mean better quality, but mostly depends on the particular location, the taxes, expenses, rents etc..So you pay more for the expenses, taxes, not for quality.
Its better to go to countries like Mexico, Brasil in which you could find great doctors at much lower prices than US.
In Turkey aldo you can find excellent doctors in affordable prices. Do your research.

Yea. That is my confusion. Based on the US doctors, more than 3000 grafts is probably over harvest, if I am right. How he does 6000 and is not over harvest? The donor area is ok after this?

You can check the results of Dr Pittella to see that the donor areas of his patients look great even if he extracts very large number of grafts like 10.000-12.000 grafts in a 2 day session. So it depends on the clinic, some clinics are able to extract large number of grafts without problem while other clinics do not have experience in doing larger sessions and they do only smaller ones.

    Hello everyone,

I am thinking about doing a 2nd HT. Most of US surgeons I consulted will not do over 3000 grafts. And they all say that over harvest is not good for the donor area.

But Dr. Zarav, Dr. Pitella etc do large FUEs like over 6000. Is that not over harvesting?

A lot of you guys are expert on this, any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. I am so confused. :(

    Thanks so much.

Basically dr Pittella is doing much larger sessions than 6000 grafts without any problem at the donor...He can extract 6000 grafts per day and 11500-12000 grafts in a 2-day session.

Look at his example below a patient got a procedure with 11.547 grafts from Dr Pittella in a two-day session :

Always welcome my friend...imo you can do one more thing ...dont run after too many grafts..for 1st session you can go with somewhere around 2.5k to 3k grafts and that will allow you to select a decent doctor in your budget plus your frontal portion will be restored properly in this session which is important and will change your whole appearance...than after may be 2 yrs in 2nd session you can go for another 2.5k to 3k grafts if your donor allows ...till than you can do your savings accordingly....you can be on medication and can preserve your native hairs...

So other than dr yaman imo you can consider

Dr gur - 1.5 euro per graft and he will do all the extraction and incisions himself..so for 3k grafts that will cost you around 4.5keuros and that is near your budget..he is an ethical surgeon...have seen many good reviews about him...imo he is the best bet in this category for you...

Dr Dermirsoy - again 1.5 euros and he is also well experienced surgeon and produced decent results ,but didn't see patients posting results by him recently...

Dr turan - 4k euros i think for 3k grafts ...he is good option to consider ..he and gur are almost similar..i use to recommend dr turan bt now after seeing so many results on other forums as well i somewhere have a bit of more confidence on dr gur and specially his approach....bt if you like dr turan's work than you can go for him as well...you won't go wrong with either of them

Dr kongkiat laorwong - If you are willing to travel to thailand ...he is well experienced surgeon ...very meticulous person and his work is extremely clean..have seen lots of positive reviews abt him..i have seen more than 100 cases performed by him...i myself went to him and the experience was awesome bt still waiting for my result...so if you want any more info on him than feel free to DM me...

Dr Patty - Another good surgeon from thailand ...she is doing very good work and imo value for money doctor ....i have gathered info abt her and got good positive reviews abt her....

Just giving you options to look at so that you get more choices and than can choose someone from them....i believe two part approach will be better for you...in terms of surgery as well as financially ....

Dr Gur's and Dr Demirsoy's starting price is 1 euro / graft, if you dont select the premium package where the doctor does the extractions as well. If you select the doctor to do the extractions too then its 1.5. I think all packages are fine, so it depends on each candidate.

Can you tell us the price per graft of Dr Laorwong in Thailand ? does he have different packages ? From a recent patient case of Dr Laorwong , i saw that the patient told us that he paid 70 THB per graft, which is equivalent to 1.88 euro / graft.

  10. With 3000-4000 euros you could easily find a good and ethical surgeon in Turkey. Higher price doenst mean that you will get better result.
As it was said before you could select either one of Dr gur, Dr turan, Dr Yaman, and Dr Demirsoy. You would be in safe hands with them and you would get a great result fro sure, as they ethical surgeons participating in all procedures by doing the critical parts of the procedure..So just connect with them and wait for their reply. You should start finasteride too, to stabilise your hair loss. Good luck mate.
