  1. after talking to the representative: he says we can wait for 8'th month to pass, and if needed - we can insert what he estimates to be ~100 follicles to the hairline (I actually estimates it to be around 150-200 follicles, but I guess that's not very important at the moment). I asked if we might pull doing this without shaving my hairline (keeping it intact) and he said we can... 1. I understand if we don't wait enough time, we might transplant on "yet to penetrate the scalp but still potent follicles". Do you feel 8 months is enough?🤔 2. I'm not very sure.. if the follicles didn't grow on the previous, what will make them grow now? 😏
  2. it's quite a 'thing': -some people here say it's not looking good -some say it looks mediocre -some say it looks good
  3. Parasol, thank you for being so nice and empathic, I really and truely appreciate every word and intention my friend 😎
  4. Hi parasol - I relly appreciate your reply. Yes, I know 6 months isn't the end-result, but regarding the term you're using - "maturing" - I really feel it's less a question of maturation and more of follicles who didn't grow? I know Doron and he's a great guy, so does the rest of HDC team and of course Dr. Maras who is a true gentleman and I really felt he and the team caring for me. I must say my 'fear' is not whether I'm going to get a good result in the end - because If needed I'll do a touch-up, it's just that I felt "almost there" after months of waiting which as we know is difficult, and now I feel like I have 6 more months to wait for final results, and then after a 2'nd HT wait another 6 months for it to grow to some degree. I feel like all of a sudden my 'remaining waiting time' for nice results is going to change from 1-2 months in the near future to 1 year, and this feels heart sinking..
  5. do you think the time frames are actually something like 85-90% sprouting at 6 months?
  6. this is an image (taken from the above video) - hairline really looks like it's coming out as it should..?
  7. and this is another image (taken from the video above) showing the sub-par growth along midline:
  8. thank you. I've been looking for studies about this, couldn't find any sady..
  9. this is a video showing it in more detail I think: https://streamable.com/p8ursq My intuition is it won't grow more, I do hope I'll get wrong. Quite dissappointing as I chose someone with a good reputation and during surgery I've been told I have very good hair and scalp characteristics. Intially we we're talking about ~2000 grafts, but during surgery I've been told my scalp is very flexibile so he said 2900 is suitable. 😔
  10. Also, you do understand the photos with the markings are the before* pictures, yes..?
  11. what is the chance for an improvement regarding the shock-loss? and for the "less growth"? Although I can pull it off in my normal 'day to day' life, for 2900 grafts? this does seem like a weak result
  12. Do you really think there's hope for more sprouting after 6 months had passed?
  13. Hi, I think this is the corresponding area:
  14. Maybe I am, yes.. 😕 there's just too much see-through at the moment. I really wonder if the follicles in the bare area will sprout, and wether considerable thickening is about to come 🥴
  15. Hey Gatsby, I've went through your "gatsby unplugged" thread, yet I see no image with a 'bald spot' in it.. I don't know how I'm missing it 😕 anyway, glad yours did come through!
  16. "By 6 months, approximately 60% – 70% of the new hairs have fully penetrated through the scalp" https://fellermedical.com/hair-transplant-growth-timeline/ I'm 6 months post ht and I've havn't seen new sprouting for the last 1.5 months. this is discouraging as my hairline still isn't dense enough to comb up. how long would you wait before going on a touch-up?
  17. Afro hair has such great characteristics for transplant. Your results are great and density looks like is going to be phenomenal!
  18. It depends on so many factors, it's impossible to give definite yes/no answer
  19. The filler can actually stay where intended, but only if: *Injected in right (usually small) volumes *suiting rheological properties (viscocity/cohesivity/elasticity/hygroscopic) *injected sub SMAS (depth) *right location in ragard to the anatomical boundaries (degree of compartmentalization of the fat tissue involved) *adjacent mobility of muscles (which might cause some filler to migrate, like you wisely said). In general - I think in the west world less than 10% of procedures really take into account all of these parameters. (though young, I'm an aesthetic practitioner with experience of ~80K syringes..)
  20. 5 months+3 weeks: A closer look shows density along hairline still isn't enough, with one area (in the image: one centimeter right from center) still lacking growth/density. I don't know if it's because we tried to "pack-dense" too much, because it's too close to the center (where there's less blood supply), anesthesia... Anyway it requires me to use both dermamatch+toppik if I want to comb up my hair. If I decide to strenghten this in the future - will I still need to shave everything? This is the area I had a problem with, around 5 days post surgery:
  21. I think you looked good even before the procedure I must say I'm a bit hesitant to recommend elanse for strict volumization. It is better used to help sagging skin. All colagen/elastin stimulating fillers, on the long run, can't Improve the geometry of the face in young people (for example: chin width/height/shape, jawline definition or mandibular width, or zygomatic width). To be honest, I think photos taken on the same day are not very indicative as a big part of the 'results' is simply edema from the niddle/cannula used.
