Quick Q for you guys. I'm 2 months post op and have been leaving my donor to grow quite long so haven't really examined my scar in any great detail. Today to my surprise I noticed there are still quite a few small scabs on the scar. Not what I was expecting at 2 months. Should I work these scabs off and is this unusual or anything to be concerned about?

Dr Feller, You may have missed my earlier post. Have you had PRP performed on yourself? If so, have you noticed any difference at this point in time, if not can you explain why not? Thank you.

Dr Feller, I have read a lot of what you have written in the past and you speak the truth and don't BS. I just want to say thanks for progressing this PRP. Its advances like this that help make the future rosier for us. BTW, have you done prp yourself?

Looks normal. Not sure what else you are hoping to hear at this stage. Best thing is to try and put hair thoughts on the backburner for 3 months. I know this is a bit like trying not to get a hard-on with Jessica Alba standing naked in front of you, but at least try

I think it looks great, but personally I'd be concerned as to what you could potentially look like if you do end up with extensive loss. Make sure to befriend all your hairloss allies >> propecia, minox, PRP.

That is a stunning result Joe. That guy must be feeling great about life now. Its funny, if someone had shown me this result and I didn't know much about HT/H&W I would be thinking this is a scam, that there is no way the amount of donor that guy had could produce that amount of coverage.

Where are you going to put them Wantego Hair greed? If I was going FUE Feller and Shapiro would be top of my list. As you have already had the strip why not just go for a small strip?

dr Feller, My understading is that DHT levels will determine the rate/extent of MPB and that PRP treatment does not affect DHT levels. Is this correct and if so can you expain why you think PRP may still be a viable treatment to counteract hairloss over the long term?

LC, That's interesting & good to hear Thanks RTC. RTC still remains the top alias of all time on the hair forums though IMO. I'm quite excited by PRP. If it stops further loss in its tracks so many of our worries, as hairloss sufferers, can be alleviated.

I know its very early days at the moment to be drawing any credible conclusions, but I'd be interested in hearing from nay patients out there who have undergone the treatment. I've heard some positive news from Dr Feller including one case where he seemed to think the patient had a noticable difference even after a few weeks. Any takers?

Very sweet for only 4.5 months Leeson. Do you know what density you are in the frontal 1/3?

And maybe investigate Feller's Platelet Rich Plasma (search PRP). Its early days for it, but Feller is a well respected Dr so if he has faith in it its worth keeping an eye on.

Shaving is a serious pain in the ass if you are used to having your hair long, but the way I look at it, its short term pain for long term gain. Shapiro would be my choice though if I was dead set against shaving down.

Forgetting about the donor for the moment, for those of you whose HT has matured how short do you think you can cut the frontal recipient with it still looking natural? I'd imagine that since the donor hairs are strong and healthy and are being placed at a density less than you would find in nature (assuming that the density transplanted density was relatively conservative) an extremely short buzz cut isn't going to look completely natural. So is it true that a certain length is required to avoid the HT look? Also, ignoring redness, does the HT 10 days post op look very close to how the final matured HT will look if it was buzzed to that same length?

I've noticed a lot of Rahal patients in particular seem to have these 'white balls' for some reason, but they all seem to grow in well so I wouldn't worry.

All seems good with the scar @ 9 days. Not much to see from the photo.

Curious if you had any comment on my future donor Q in the original post. Everything is looking good so far as you can see fom the 1 week photo attached. Difficult to believe I was in that chair a week ago! I do have a feeling my redness is really going to linger though. I noticed Bill was using aloe vera gel. Do H&W recommend this for redness? Thanks
