  1. Hi, I want to order topical fin or dut liposomal, because my scalp gets very irritated from the minoxidil, so I have to switch to foam version. I wanted to get xyon health one, but it's not available in europe, I've heard about a company farmaciaparati but I can't find their website with products.

You are right, at this point I agree with Melvin when he suggests to @SoSozthat if he doesn’t trust of the surgeon, it is better not to go with him, also because, at a certain point, Yaman stopped answering him (and this is not synonymous with seriousness), so it's best to leave Yaman alone.

I believe I didn't speak with Dr Yaman at all, but his representative. He was ment to set up call with Dr Yaman so I can speak over camera with him at certain time. When I was on that time I didn't receive any call from Dr Yaman, so I contacted his representative and didn't bother to reply why the call didn't happen. Since then they never reply and just ignore.

Think about if you want to start with FUT, it’s important to consider the types of scar you will have. Starting out with FUT means that linear scar will be noticeable with shorter hair cuts, FUE of course creates scars but it’s usually easier to still have the benefit of shorter styles.
So many Drs have moved away from FUTs, you will only really see it being done in the US these days, of course it’s still used for certain cases or in higher Norwoods sometimes.
With guys like Zarev, Pittella etc pushing what can be achieved with FUE then you really have to think about if you want that FUT scar for life.
What Norwood level would you say you’re classed as?

wound were trichophytic closure has been used is not even visible at 1.5mm haircut and is pencil thin

  4. So I've sent them photos for consultations, I had a call with one of their representatives telling me I will need 5-6k grafts for a procedure because they use manual method that doesn't cause visible scarring and that I will not have to take finasteride and tried to convice me for the surgery. After I was doubtful about that, I said that other surgerons recommend max 3k since I am young patient and I'd prefer to go with lower amount, they stopped replying to me completely to any of my questions. Anyone experienced something like that?

Make sure you can tolerate finasteride/dutasteride/etc. before even thinking about a transplant IMO... transplants for diffuse thinning are always more challenging and you could spend a lifetime of transplants trying to chase your miniaturizing native hairs.

The positive side is most of the time diffuse thinners respond very well to medication, it's possible after a year of minoxidil + fin/dut you decide you are satisfied with your hair recovery and delay a transplant until you begin to lose more ground.

Somehow Melvin can't tolerate finasteride and done multiple transplants.

OP: Before, anyone would tell you that 25 is the good age for transplant, now for some reason it changed to 30, later maybe it will be 40.. 😅

First of all, he said he switched from oral finasteride to oral minoxidil and saw no difference. What’s wrong with giving his own personal experience. I have been taking oral minoxidil for 6 months, and it’s a game changer.

This is getting absurd. Oral minoxidil has been around WAY before finasteride. As a matter of fact, it started off as a blood pressure medication that had a secondary effect of hair growth. How on earth can anyone say there aren’t any long term studies. It’s the EXACT same drug as the topical, except oral. You guys need to stay off reddit.

Here’s a study from 1987, is 30+ years long term enough.

What do you think about cycling oral minox? Like 1 year on it, then 1 year break and so on?

Did you end up continuing with the finasteride? I tried 1 mg every day and got insomnia. Tried 1 mg every other day and still got insomnia.

Stopped, messed up with my libido too much. Tried 1mg eod for 2 weeks
