Who’s the surgeon? You mentioned Turkish clinic. There are some good Turkish clinics that are affordable, and then there’s hair mills

All the best in your journey

My bet would be Hair of Istambul or Aisha, let me know if I am right

  2. I am 25 years old. Finally after lurking around on the forum for two years I decided to restore my hair. One day I was with a girl outside during windy day I kept turning my head all the time because I was afraid that the wind will ruin my hair, and it did. I said enough is enough and I decided to get this done. I wanna live rest of my 20s without worrying about my hair.

Medication: Oral finasteride 1mg, 3 times a week for 3 months and not planning to stop, will add oral minoxidil soon.

This is my first procedure of 3500 grafts to restore the frontal third of my hair. I went to a Turkish clinic, my budget was limited. I done my research and I went to clinic that accepts 2 patients a day where doctor does the incisions. For my hairline I went for conservative approach, without any lowering.

Before during worst shedding phase on finasteride

  3. I've watched the Hair loss show video on youtube about finasteride dosage, they said that finasteride stays in blood only for around 6-8hrs but it stays in scalp for way longer so it's not necessary to take it every day. They said that MWF 3 mg per week should be enough. Is this really true? I am trying this approach for over a month now and I am wondering if I am just wasting my time with this and if should I take it every day instead.

Norwood 6/7 is aggressive hair loss. Hair loss is accumulative. DHT gradually degrades your hair. In cases of extreme sensitivity, this occurs early on, when your DHT is the highest, i.e., late teens and early 20s. I have never seen a Norwood 6/7 develop out of thin air, there would be miniaturization guaranteed. Almost all Norwood 6s occur by 35. Norwood 7 I would say 99.9% develop by 35.

That's correct, my cousin is 29 and is NW7 already.

  5. Hello, I am using finasteride and minoxidil. I am wondering if finasteride alone would be enough for my hair. I am getting terrible dark eyebags and wrinkles under my eyes, I have never had this before and I noticed it for a month already, I take minox for 4 months. I am 25. Should I try to use come kind of eye repair cream? Im quite worried because I recovered my crown with minoxidil, but my face is starting to look old.

    For various of reasons.

    1. People are scared of linear scar and believe that FUE is scarless.

    2. FUE is more popular, it is easier to perform, doesn't require so much surgical skills and thus it is loved by hairmills.

    3. Clinics don't care about donor managment and patients are not educated in this subject.

Would you start with FUT if you had chance to re do your HT?

FUT is definitely a good option. But I wouldn’t trust many surgeons out there with megasessions. Hattingen and H&W are the only ones with FUT.

So this patient got 8k grafts with single FUT, he could get another FUT with 5k and cut out the old scar? Perhaps FUE with 5k+? Doesn't FUT seem like a great option to start with? Why everyone goes with FUE?

  8. I've been speaking to a doctor and he recommended prp and botox. He said that botox is really good because it relaxes the muscles on scalp so hair get more blood. I've also came accross this article

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5782443/#!po=50.0000

Is this treatment effective and worth the cost?

Also is it safe to get such procedures before getting a HT? Does this risk of some hairs not growing out?

  9. I've came accross this statement by one of doctors on YT

    Quote

Finasteride should not be taken before a Hair Transplant. tHIS dht BLOCKER GIVES A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY TO THE SURGEON AND THE PATIENT ALIKE WHEN fINASTERIDE IS TAKEN BEFORE THE HAIR TRANSPLANT. aT THE TIME OF A HAIR TRANSPLANT THE SURGEON SHOULD BE SURE THAT THE GRAFTS THAT ARE BEING HARVESTED ARE ANAGEN IN NATRE AND NOT THOSE THAT ARE VISIBLY MINIATURISING. tHE EFFECT OF fINASTERIDE ON THESE MINIATURISING HAIRS MASKS THEIR TRUE NATURE AND THE HAIR THAT ARE MOVED WILL NEED TO BE ON fINASTERIDE FOREVER IF THEY HAVE TO BE RETAINED
