  1. Same age as you OP, my only suggestion would be to consider Dut and min/oral min too. Too young for a transplant. If you have the money, don't discount hair systems either. That's something I will look into if Dut stops working for me.
  2. Do you take 5 dut capsules a day or get it compounded? Also how long have you been taking 2.5mg and have you had a liver function test? I want to use 2.5mg too but worried about long term liver damage
  3. Wow, so you've been on Fin for 20 years? I doubt mine will look that good in 15, I'm guessing you don't have much aggressive baldness in your family.
  4. I'm referring to those amongst us who were destined to be fully bald by their late twenties. I started Fin at 17 and eventually switched to Dut and will be 22 this year. It's hard to say whether I'm below baseline compared to nearly 5 years ago however the fact that it is so difficult to tell leads me to believe that I have either maintained or barely lost more hair over these years so that's good. I do wonder whether Dut and oral min will be able to fend off my NW 6-7 by age 25 genetics until I'm 30 and there are better treatments around. It makes me anxious about the future.
  5. Just set a daily reminder through google calendar on your phone. That's what I do.
  6. I've bought from AllDayChemist, InHousePharmacy and GoodStuffStore.
  7. I've ordered oral min from grey market pharmacies to the UK and even that is legal so long as it is for personal use. Never had a problem with customs. They won't care about a cosmeceutical.
  8. Nice, I saw you wrote you use UKhairsystems. Good to know they ship worldwide too. Can I ask how often you get a new system? Not sure I read that right but I didn't think one system could last you a whole year whilst continuing to look good.
  9. How often do you have to replace or retape/reglue it to ensure it won't blow if you go surfing or something? Trying to figure out the yearly cost of this. Is it possible to get longer/shoulder length systems, like women's wigs but more unstyled e.g. Keanu Reeves?
  10. I feel like this is also my genetic destiny without meds, I'll go the hair system route if Dut stops working. You should look into that OP.
  11. Vegan for over 2 years and started receding long before then. I eat almost exclusively vegan junk food and my my hair still looks the same as when I ate more healthy food, vegan or otherwise. The Dutasteride is what's keeping things looking good.
  12. It didn't turn me into a werewolf, it just thickened my body hair a bit and my temple hairs started growing a lot closer to my eyebrows lol. Even at 2.5mg you will probably experience that. Unless you really dislike body hair I wouldn't worry about it too much. I dislike body hair but shaving my body with an electric shaver every 2-3 weeks doesn't take too long.
  13. I've used the 2.5mg tablets from there. It gave me hypertrichosis so I'd say it worked.
  14. Does that mean Starbucks would cover the cost of an elite doc like Konior? That's pretty neat.
  15. Only after 6 years? Now I'm terrified for the future, even as a Dutasteride user. Can I ask how old you are?
  16. Curious, how long have you been on meds for OP and did it maintain your Norwood? I have a similar family history.
  17. Combination of Dutasteride and Oral Minoxidil
  18. HMI-115 and GT20029 seem to be the most promising upcoming drug treatments. If you are resident in Victoria, Australia they are ostensibly recruiting participants for the former's clinical trials.
  19. I would likely be in this guy's position had I not started Finasteride at 17 (started receding at 15), now 21. Looking forward to listening to this one, his result looks great.
  20. Took my oral minoxidil at 14:45, maximal effect on blood pressure occurs 2-3 hours after administration. Had no issues then. Had a drink (1.3 UK units) some time after 20:00, experienced those side effects after it metabolised.
  21. Even after lowering my dose from 5mg to 2.5mg, I had one alcoholic drink today and my blood pressure lowered and heart rate went above 100. It is still thereabouts. I will probably lower to 1.25mg now. This is really unfortunate, I do not want to stop the drug. It's thickend my hair a bit, nothing miraculous. However I also like the eyelash and eyebrow darkening.
  22. I believe you are talking about Oxford Online Pharmacy, they require you post them a private prescription for Oral Minoxidil - they won't write you one themselves as they do with Dutasteride. Easiest way to obtain it right now is through Manual, they usually charge about £80 for three months however if you look out for their discount codes you can get it for £40. At the moment I am trying to find the cheapest way to get a private script to get it from Oxford Online Pharmacy.
