  1. Hi Michael, didn't you recently have HT by Dr. Feller? Why the interest in lasercomb, if you don't mind my asking? Results not what you were exepcting? just curious Thanks Paris
  2. yeah, i have to agree. very thin for 6 months as well as for the 3500+ grafts. very surprised, considering all the praise for Dr. Feller. Then again, lot of people suggest waiting for one year for full growth, although at 6 months you start having a pretty good idea of what's coming.
  3. Thanks faceless, that does help. Besides, i will have your progress to look at, although, as you said, everyone's case is unique. One other question. Do you take Propecia, and/or did you discuss that with Dr. Feller? best of luck in coming months.
  4. Hi faceless, congrats on getting he deed done, and done well. I have a question, since my hair is very similar to yours. Since they shaved the entire top off, how long would it take for your existing hair on top to grow, so you would be able to go back to work, or is it that you don't care about that part? i have always been scared that once they shave my top off, it would take a long darn time before my hair on top grows to the length i keep it at usually, to be able to hide the HT hair. Any thoughts? P.S i have a consult scheduled with Dr. Feller in a week. any words of advice besides the usual? Thanks
  5. Dr. Feller, Thanks for clearing that up. In a way, that was the point i was trying to make. for larger sessions, even FUE will leave scars enough so that one won't be able to shave, so that defeats the purpose completely. As far as the healing time for strip and FUE, i have heard latter heals somewhat faster. That would be one case in favor of FUE in my view, if the healing was significantly faster. Thanks
  6. Hey guys, i was wondering that with the new tricho technique for closing the donor area, is there really an overwhelming argument in favor of spending 3 or 4 times more money to go for FUE as opposed to strip? I would love some input from guys who have seen some results from both. Thanks
  7. there is a video of his debate with nagin on the link below, and you get to see really how bad his HT is. I mean, he has an island on top, looks sooooooo funny and obvious. sad thing is he can't shave the top off either, let alone shaving off the whole head(because of the scar), because with the old method, there has got to be incision scars. Then again, he on national TV debating for mayor, so he obviously doesn't care. Wish we could all be that brave. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12821264/
  8. PB, one question. your pre-op and some post-op pics are so clear, and yet the one that counts the most, 5 month post-sop is taken with incredibly dim lights. Why? I have been thinking of going to Feller. Would love to see a clear pic of what you look like now. Thanks
  9. Guys, give him a break. we always talk about hearing both sides of the story. i can't count how many times i have heard people talk about how we only hear about the success stories, because apparently the ones who get butchered are too ashamed, embarrased, distraught to open up. Well, this guy isn't. I know H&W earn million praises every day, and i am sure they deserve most of them, but is it really so unthinkable that they could have actually messed it up with this guy. I mean, are we at that point where they are infallible? You asked for documentation, and there are some before/after pics on his link. Granted, i would like to see more, but let's keep an open mind here, and i mean both ways. let's not jump to any judgement regarding this guy or H&W. Personally, i would love to see some more and clear before/after pics. For what it's worth, i feel awful about what happened to you, and this is everyone's nightmare when they embark on this HT journey. Hope things work out for you.
  10. lately, there has ben lot more discussion on these forums involving Hasson & Wong. I had never checked out their results, so i did. Very impressive. I also like their willingness to do mega-seesions, in some cases 5000+. i am sure they don't do it for everyone, but the right candidates. Reason i like it is because a session like that gives the patient the true shock-value after-effect that most of us hope and dream of getting from any hair transplant, but rarely do, and hence the disappointments. i would love to find out which of the top american docs do such mega-sessions? Feller? True? shapiro? Anyone at all? Help me out guys.
  11. LT, i know doctors who do FUE into strip scars. i think couple of people on this forum mentioned Dr. Feller doing it for them. As far as comepletely making it invisible, i am not sure if that is possible. You can get it to a point where you can be(or, at least should be) able to buzz it with a #2 or 3. Then again, it would depend on the extent of the scar itself. talk to some of the top docs, Feller, True, etc. Good luck
  12. Guys, just want to wish each and everyone a very merry Christmas, and happy and safe holidays to all. Paris
  13. I am not using any drugs yet, but that will change soon. i have generally thinning hair. getting to norwood 5,i think. Anyway, i have been using country life maxi-hair vitamins for about 2 months now, and it does seem to have some effect on the way the hair feels. still early for that though. I have been using emu oil for almost 2 years, and i really like it. it's not going to stop hair loss, but i think it does very well for the hair you have, lot more managable, and shiny and feel healthy in general. I will be adding propecia soon. Paris.
  14. Guitar player, you should be able to buy it online anywhere. i buy it from "backcountry emu oil" - pure stuff. i mostly use it on hair, but in moderation, you can use it on skin too.
  15. hey guys, i was just looking at H&W photo gallery(i haven't spent a lot of time previously checking them out). Sure they do lot of megasessions, but even with average sessions, they seem to get remarkably better results then i have ever seen most docs achieve. What's their secret? it cant be just good lighting. even if you look at results from top surgeons like shapiro, true, feller, etc., they fall short. Please give your opinions, and which other docs get reults consistently similar to H&W. Thanks
  16. same question as Troy. seems like in one of the pre first op pics, your hair even on top looks descent. hard to tell if you even have a bald spot on crown (mayble lighting or light color hair), but if you look at the post second op pic, almost like a different person. They really shaved the whole area. was there diffused thinning on top. if so, did the docs talk about shock loss to the existing hair. Paris
  17. Qwert, looking at your pic, even though it's a little blurred, i cant help but wonder, did you even need 6500 grafts? Well, i mean, of course you will take it, but dude, if everything grows out as planned, you would have an awesome head of hair, relatively speaking. As far as the strip scar goes, i think you just got lucky. They took the same strip of flesh as they would have if they were trying to extract, say 4000, just so happens, your strip yileded more, MUCH more. so i dont think the scar would be a problem. Not that you look like you would need it, but have you talked about future sessions, and how much more you might be able to yield. Paris.
  18. Qwert, i wasn't saying they are aggressive, just throwing it all out there, as questions. boggles my mind why most docs here wont go above 3500, that's all. honestly, i hope that all these so-called top docs start doing mega sessions. truth is, most docs wont even consider such mega sessions, period, no matter how lucky you are in hair genetics, whereas H&W do many sessions of 4500+ i guess, kudos to them.
  19. wow!!! 6500 grafts huh? never heard of that kind of mega session before. So what is it that H&W know that most other docs don't? or is it possible they are much too aggressive, without any concern for the patients' future hair loss? i would so appreciate if some of the HT veterans could shed some light on this. "Most" docs here in US are afraid to go to 3500+. What does it say about them? is it just a matter of not willing to put in those kinds of long hours in one procedure. Are their any side effects/negative connotation to such a mega session? Please share your opinions. Thanks Paris
  20. PB and Triy, good luck to both of you. all you guys who shared your stories, thanks, it was interesting. one question, how long was it after the HT, that no one could detect a lick of anything? thanks
  21. Harve, glad to hear its working for you. Are you using the merck brand propecia, or some generic form? if so, where do you buy it from? thanks Paris
  22. Guys, need your advice. if i took one month off from work, would anyone be able to tell if i have had HT. factor in everything, shock loss, redness, donor loss, whatever else you can think of. iam thinking of close to 3000 grafts. right now i am close to norwood 5 i think. i keep my hair in cesar style, in front and with adequate amount of toppik, its pretty decent. one month after HT, would i be able to continue to use toppik and disguise my HT 100%, or there is some chance i won't be able to. Would appreciate your opinions. Paris.

  24. Philly and Neil, haven't been in touch with you for a while. I am glad things are coming along so well for you. Neil, your pics look very good. i am not sure about how much you started with, but at this point, there is no trace of thinning whatsoever, basically a healthy head of hair. Philly, i am anxious to see some more pics if you dont mind. Your 14 week pics look nice, but you mentioned how your hairline is very natural and dense. would love to seea clear pics of that. Good luck to both of you. Paris
  25. i have always found the whole" transplanted hair is permanent" claim very very hard to digest. True, even the baldest of the bald don't lose much of the hair in the back, but much of that has to be a factor of that area of scalp, than the hair itself. Most of the top docs, to my knowledge, don't even make that claim.
