  1. Hi, has anyone here had a procedure with Dr. Robert Bernstein in new york? Can anyone provide any useful feedback on him? Much appreciated. thanks
  2. Hi, i had one procedure couple of yeas ago. It gave me some coverage but not nearly enough. My doc did a decent job. No complaints. But many surgeons are conservative by nature, as was mine. I have heard about Dr. Conior. Seems he is somewhere between conservative and aggressive. I don't mind flying to Chicago, but i guess i am just trying to find out if there are any reputed docs in new york who go for high density. As always, any input will be greatly appreciated. Paris
  3. So, looks like this is all done via email and pictures. Any way to do a live consult via skype or facetime, etc.? Thanks
  4. Hi all. I live in new york but would love to have a virtual consult with Dr. Konior. Is there some system that the good doctor has set up for web consultations? Thanks Paris
  5. Not sure why some are able to open my pics and some can't.
  6. Also, my first surgery was with a NY area recommended surgeon. i am a bit hesistant to name him because i dont want this to be considered a negative review. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. Very professional and thorough. He did the best he could based on the fact that i had extensive hair loss and this was my first procedure. He did an "exceptional"job with the scar. It is all but non existant. But, he does tend to be a bit conservative but only because he is looking out for his patient's long term benefit. My question is should i stay with him or go for a mega session with someone like Konior?
  7. Why FUE? is a second strip procedure not recommended?
  8. Also, how much can the density of the already transplanted hair be increased?
  9. Thanks but just curious, don't we really have surgeons in U.S who do mega sessions? I heard Konior is pretty good at that.
  10. Great. Guys, you were instrumental in my decision to go for my first procedure. I am counting again on your valuable input. Thanks Paris
  11. Sorry. my firs time uploading. Strangely, when i click on them, they open. No sure what i am doing wrong
  12. Hi, i had my first procedure in december 2011, with a reputed NY surgeon. i have no complaints as far as surgery goes. I had about 2300 grafts in the front third of scalp. While it's an improvement ( presently, i dont have any before pics), i would be lying if i said i am thrilled. For one thing, the transplanted hair is so thin that there is NOTHING i can do with it except keep it short and keep it in cesar cut. The hairline is not nearly thick enough to comb it back or anything. At the time of the surgery, i was inormed that i will need a second procedure. I am just wondering, based on others' experience, will the second surgery just cover the back of the head or will the surgeon also thicken the already transplanted hair? I am enclosing some recent pics Thanks Paris photo 2.pdf photo 3.pdf
  13. would rather not say his name, but one of the top recommended surgeons on this forum.
  14. I am at the seven month mark. although, there is growth, but i am sincerely hoping that this is not it. i know people have talked about how you should wait for one year mark to fully evaluate the result. But, i am wondering what kind of changes happen after seven months. Does the hair get thicker, do new hair sprout. Does hairline get thicker? There are a lot of knowledgable souls on this forum, so please feel free to share your thoughts. Would really put my mind at ease. i have been taking pics. In due time, when i feel more confident, i will post them. Thanks Paris
  15. guys, how long after u apply rogaine foam, can u wash your hair? i am having issues applying at night. skin breaks out if i apply and go to sleep. i wanna apply it in the morning before i go to work, get to work in about hour and half, and then wash my hair. is that no good? Paris
  16. i just did some research. is it only for women? i also checked amazon. it says viviscal for women.
  17. i was gonna ask u about side effects. thanks for mentioning it. MSM does seem to have some side effects.
  18. Hi Hunter, from what i have heard, both MSM amd viviscal help to grow existing hair faster, with almost zero help in growing hair u have lost. Minoxidil helps with the latter. So, i am not sure if we can compare the two. i do agree that i have heard some very good reviews about viviscal in terms of faster hair growth. Exactly what kind of results have you seen? Thanks for the input.
  19. Thanks guys. my procedure is this friday. nervous, excited, anxious, u name it. you guys have been great help though. Wish me luck will keep you posted. Paris.
  20. Hi, has anyone here tried either MSM or Viviscal post-op for faster hair growth. if so, which one, and how much did it help?and how soon after surgery can you use it? Thanks Paris.
  21. I didn't mean to imply that i am having second thoughts about Dr. Feller or have any doubts about his skills. But, as UK R said, it is very natural to have doubts, fears and some questions, no matter how skillful everyone tells you the doc is. i am meeting Dr. Feller again a month before my procedure. Hope he will help ease some of my nervousness.
  22. As will I. Dr. feller has taken some pics of me. i will take some myself soon, and post them here and starting with immediate post-op, i will keep everyone posted. I have been contemplating this for more than 5 years. i hope i have made the right decision. Time will tell, although positive reviews from his patients and everyone in general help put my mind at ease somewhat. Paris.
